THE RECENT "FAST AND FURIOUS #6"
IS THE ONLY ONE OF THE SERIES I'VE SEEN. IT WAS INDEED FAST AND FURIOUS ..... LOTS OF ACTION, SPEEDING CARS AND A WHOLE LOT MORE IF YOU LIKE A BAD GUY/'GOOD GUY TYPE OF MOVIE THAT IS WITH STUNTS SO FAR OUT, IT IS REALLY SCIENCE FICTION. VERY LITTLE BAD LANGUAGE AND PROFANITY IN IT, HENCE MADE IT ENJOYABLE, SOME OF THE ACTION MOVIES OF LATE HAVE BEEN BAD FOR THE LANGUAGE USED. SO GOING IN TO THIS MOVIE I WAS NOT SURE HOW THE LANGUAGE WOULD BE, BUT VERY LITTLE BAD LANGUAGE.
YES A NAIL-BITER IN PARTS, AND IT LOOKS LIKE A 7TH ONE IS NOT IT'S WAY SOMEDAY.
......
DO YOU LIKE THE CIRCUS? IF YOU DO THEN "CIRQUE du SOLEIL - Worlds Away" is as it says on the front cover of the DVD "A GORGEOUS MOVIE" - FROM JAMES CAMERON AND ANDREW ADAMSON, THE VISIONARY FILMMAKERS BEHIND "AVATR" AND "SHREK."
YES A VISUAL TREAT INDEED.
WALMART SHOULD HAVE IT.
VERY FINE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY.
......
"THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS" 1954 FROM TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX.
GREAT COLOR AND SONGS.
STARING: MARILYN MONROE; ETHEL MERMAN; DONALD O'CONNOR; DAN DAILEY; MITZI GAYNOR AND JONNIE RAY.
A WHOLE BUNCH OF TALENT FROM THE ABOVE STARS.
YES A GREAT MUSICAL IN MY MIND, THOUGH THEY SAY IT WAS NOT TAKEN THAT WAY WHEN IT CAME OUT IN 1954. BUT MOVIE CRITICS FOR ME ARE OFTEN OUT IN LEFT FIELD WITH THEIR REVIEWS.
IF YOU LIKE MUSICALS AS I DO, THEN THIS ONE SHOULD BE IN YOUR COLLECTION. THEY SAY MARILYN HAD TO WORK EXTRA HARD IN THIS ONE TO BE ON PAR WITH THE OTHER TALENTED LEADING PEOPLE. BUT SHE DID IT......AND SO SHOWS SHE WAS TALENTED INDEED, WELL JUST AS SHE DID IN "GENTLEMEN PREFER BONDS" WITH JANE RUSSELL. STILL BLOWS ME AWAY THAT IN THAT MOVIE IT IS SAID MARILYN WAS ONLY GETTING 1/10 OF THE PAY THAT JANE RUSSELL WAS GETTING. THEY STILL HADN'T DECIDED IF MARILYN WAS MORE THAN JUST A PRETTY FACE AND DUMB SEXY BLOND. WELL SHE DID EVENTUALLY SHOW THEM HOW MISTAKEN AND SILLY THEY WERE. SHE'S NOW GIVEN THE TITLE OF THE MOST FAMOUS MOVIE STAR OF ALL TIME.....EVEN 50 PLUS YEARS AFTER HER DEATH. THERE SHE IS ON THE NEW CALENDARS THAT COME OUT FOR THE NEXT YEAR, EVERY NOVEMBER/DECEMBER.
AS SHE SAID HERSELF, "I NEVER DID ANYTHING VULGAR IN A MOVIE." AND MY THAT IS SO TRUE, NOTHING ANYWHERE NEAR WHAT SOME DO TODAY, AND SHE NEVER USED ANY BAD LANGUAGE OR PROFANITY EITHER, BUT THOSE WERE ALSO DIFFERENT HOLLYWOOD DAYS BACK THEN. YET FROM WHAT I'VE READ IF SHE WAS IN THIS AGE OF HOLLYWOOD, SHE STILL WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING VULGAR OR USE BAD LANGUAGE LIKE SOME DO TODAY.
MARILYN HAD THAT RARE QUALITY THAT IN A SCENE LARGE OR SMALL, SHE STOLE IT, ALL EYES GO TO HER, THERE WAS A MAGNETISM ABOUT HER THAT JUST STANDING THERE, AND SAYING NOTHING, YOU WERE DRAWN TO HER. AND CAN YOU BELIEVE SOME CRAZY PRODUCERS AT THE BEGINNING OF HER CAREER TURNED HER DOWN BECAUSE THEY SAID SHE WAS NOT "PHOTOGENIC" - I MEAN HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE; BOY WERE THEY EVER MADE TO LOOK DUMB AND FROM PLANET PLUTO.
WELL "THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS" IS A FINE MUSICAL NO MATTER WHAT THE CRITICS HAVE TO SAY.
