BACK SAFELY FROM VISITING MY DAD. NICE SUNNY TRAVEL DAY.
ONE FELLOW AND HIS LARGE HORSE TRAILER IN THE DITCH. STOPPED TO SEE IF HE NEEDED HELP. SAID HE THOUGHT SOMETHING ON THE FRONT END OF HIS TRUCK BROKE, HAD TO HIT THE DITCH, FORTUNATELY NOT A DEEP DITCH SO NO FALL OVER WITH THE HORSE TRAILER. TWO HORSE HE HAD WERE FINE.
SOMEONE HAD STOPPED AND WENT ON TO PHONE FOR HIM, THE TOWING COMPANY....NO CELL-PHONE SERVICE IN THE ROCKIES.
HE IS A HORSEMAN THAT PUTS ON "HORSE CLINICS" [HELPS PEOPLE WITH NEW OR UNTRAINED HORSES] AND HE WAS GOING A MIGHTY LONG WAY, ONLY HALF WAY THERE. JUST HIMSELF AND HIS DOG AND HIS TWO HORSES......NO NEW TRUCK AND AN OLDER HORSE TRAILER. NOT THE KIND OF HORSE WORLD LIFE FOR ME, GOING SO FAR TO EARN SOME MONEY IN THE HORSE WORLD. NOT SURE WHY SOME ARE WILLING TO TRAVEL SO FAR TO EARN MONEY IN THE HORSE WORLD, WHEN SO MANY THINGS CAN GO WRONG, ESPECIALLY WITH NOT HAVING A NEW TRUCK AND TRAILER.
WELL THE WORLD FAMOUS CALGARY STAMPEDE GETS GOING TODAY FRIDAY JULY 5TH.
I'LL BE OUT WITH DIANE'S KIDS HORSE CAMP, DO MY ROY ROGERS AND PIONEERS SHOW FOR NOON, AS THE KID'S PARENTS COME OUT, THEN DOWN IN THE OUTDOOR ARENA FOR THEM TO SHOW THEIR PARENTS WHAT THEY'VE LEARNT DURING THE WEEK.
HERE'S PRAYING FOR A SUNNY DAY.
