Vision of a Ram and a Goat
8 In[a] the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar a vision appeared to me—to me, Daniel—after the one that appeared to me the first time. 2 I saw in the vision, and it so happened while I was looking, that I was in Shushan,[b] the [c]citadel, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision that I was by the River Ulai. 3 Then I lifted my eyes and saw, and there, standing beside the river, was a ram which had two horns, and the two horns werehigh; but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last. 4 I saw the ram pushing westward, northward, and southward, so that no animal could [d]withstand him; nor was there any that could deliver from his hand, but he did according to his will and became great.
5 And as I was considering, suddenly a male goat came from the west, across the surface of the whole earth, without touching the ground; and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. 6 Then he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing beside the river, and ran at him with furious power. 7 And I saw him confronting the ram; he was moved with rage against him, [e]attacked the ram, and broke his two horns. There was no power in the ram to withstand him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled him; and there was no one that could deliver the ram from his hand.
8 Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it four notable ones came up toward the four winds of heaven. 9 And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land. 10 And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them. 11 He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of [f]His sanctuary was cast down. 12 Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered.
13 Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking, “How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression [g]of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled underfoot?”
14 And he said to me, “For two thousand three hundred [h]days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.”
Gabriel Interprets the Vision
15 Then it happened, when I, Daniel, had seen the vision and was seeking the meaning, that suddenly there stood before me one having the appearance of a man. 16 And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of the Ulai, who called, and said, “Gabriel, make this man understand the vision.” 17 So he came near where I stood, and when he came I was afraid and fell on my face; but he said to me, “Understand, son of man, that the vision refers to the time of the end.”

18 Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my face to the ground; but he touched me, and stood me upright. 19 And he said, “Look, I am making known to you what shall happen in the latter time of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end shall be.
20 The ram which you saw, having the two horns—they are the kings of Media and Persia.
21 And the [I]male goat is the [j]kingdom of Greece.
The large horn that is between its eyes is the first king.

22 As for the broken horn and the four that stood up in its place, four kingdoms shall arise out of that nation, but not with its power.
[THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED IN HISTORY; ALEXANDER'S EMPIRE WAS DIVIDED UP BY FOUR GENERALS. IN TIME IT WAS THE ROMEN EMPIRE THAT ROSE TO BE THE 4TH EMPIRE OF THE HUB OF THE WORLD, AS ALSO PREDICTED IN DANIEL 2 AND THE GREAT IMAGE; THE LEGS AND TOES BEING THE TWO PARTS OF ROME AND CONSTANTINOPLE, WHICH FINALLY WILL BE THE TEN NATIONS TO FIGHT CHRIST AT HIS COMING— REV. 17 AND 19— Keith Hunt]
23 “And in the latter time of their kingdom,
When the transgressors have reached their fullness,
[DOWN TO THE VERY END TIME, WHEN SINS WILL REACH TO THEIR HIGHEST; AS JESUS SAID A TIME OF TROUBLE NEVER BEFORE LIKE IT, AND WILL BE NEVER AGAIN— MAT. 24; AND UNLESS THAT TIME WAS CUT SHORT NO FLESH WOULD SURVIVE— Keith Hunt]
A king shall arise,
Having fierce [k]features,
Who understands sinister schemes.
24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;
He shall destroy [l]fearfully,
And shall prosper and thrive;
He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.
[A BEAST MAN KING WILL RISE OVER THE 7TH AND LAST RESURRECTION OF THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE IN EUROPE, THAT IS FORMING BEFORE YOUR EYES RIGHT NOW. HE SHALL CONTROL A MIGHTY POWER, NOT REALLY FROM HIMSELF, BUT FROM THE DEVIL AND HIS SATANIC FORCES. HE AND HIS EMPIRE SHALL FOR A SHORT TIME PROSPER AND THRIVE.
MOST IMPORTANTLY HIS POWER SHALL DESTROY TWO THINGS— DESTROY THE MIGHTY, THE POWER OF THE WESTERN WORLD AND THE JEWS IN THE HOLY LAND. HIS POWER RULED OVER BY A FALSE WOMAN CHURCH RIDING THE BEAST, WILL TRY TO DESTROY THE TRUE HOLY PEOPLE; TRUE CHRISTIANS OF THE BIBLE, WHO WILL NOT BOW TO THE THEOLOGY AND DECEPTIONS OF THE SO-CALLED MOTHER CHURCH— Keith Hunt]
25 “Through his cunning
He shall cause deceit to prosper under his [m]rule;
[YES VERY CUNNING AND PROUD IN HEART; CLAIMING HIS CHURCH IS THE TRUE CHURCH; IT WILL BE FULL OF DECEIT AND WILL FOOL MOST, AS IT RISES— Keith Hunt]
And he shall exalt himself in his heart.
He shall destroy many in their prosperity.
He shall even rise against the Prince of princes;
But he shall be broken without human [n]means.
[HE WILL NOT ONLY THINK HE CAN RULE THE WORLD, THROUGH THE POWER HIS EMPIRE WILL HAVE; MORE IN VANITY HE WILL RISE AGAINST THE PRINCE OF PRINCES, NOT EVEN KNOWING IT IS JESUS HE'S PLANNING TO FIGHT AND WIN. HIS DECEPTION SO GREAT HE'LL THINK IT IS AN INVASION FROM ANOTHER PLANET, AND BEING THE ANTI-CHRIST— BUT HE IS THE ANTI-CHRIST. NO ONE WILL HELP, AS TOO LATE, SOME WILL SEE THAT HIS EMPIRE IS SATANIC; THEY ARE ON THE WRONG SIDE.]
26 “And the vision of the evenings and mornings
Which was told is true;
Therefore seal up the vision,
For it refers to many days in the future.”
27 And I, Daniel, fainted and was sick for days; afterward I arose and went about the king’s business. I was [o]astonished by the vision, but no one understood it.

THE 2,300 EVENING AND MORNINGS, IS TURNED INTO YEARS; STARTING WITH THE RISING OF THE GREAT ROMAN EMPIRE. SOME GIVE 27 B.C. AS THE OFFICIAL RISE OF ROME. BUT THAT IS VERY DEBATABLE. IT COULD BE THE DEATH OF ALEXANDER, 323 B.C. OR SLIGHTLY AFTER WE SHOULD COUNT THE 2,300 DAYS TO YEARS.
FOR NICE ROUND FIGURES I WILL CHOOSE 300 B.C. MOVING FORWARD WE COME TO THE END OF THE 20TH CENTURY.
THE PROPHECY THEN BRINGS US INTO THE 21ST CENTURY. MEANING THE END OF THIS AGE WAS NOT GOING TO BE BEFORE THE 21ST CENTURY, BUT SOMETIME AFTER THE 20TH CENTURY.
AS HISTORY IS PLAYING ITSELF OUT I THINK THE ABOVE EXPLANATION IS THE BEST, CERTAINLY IT IS CLOSE TO BEING CORRECT. EXACTLY WHEN THE 2,300 YEARS BEGAN IS THE BIG QUESTION.
THE WORD SANCTUARY CAN MEAN THE HOLY LAND [SEE EX. 15: 17].
YOU WILL NOTICE THE WORD "SACRIFICE" IN THIS PASSAGE IS IN ITALICS, MEANING IT IS NOT IN THE HEBREW. SHOWING WE NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM THINKING JEWS WILL BE DOING ANIMAL SACRIFICES IN A TEMPLE AT THE END TIME. NOW SOMETHING WILL BE STOPPED, YES INDEED. TWO THINGS FOR SURE— DAILY LIFE WILL BE STOPPED FOR THE JEWS; GOING TO THE WAILING WALL, PRAYING, PETITIONING GOD, WILL COME TO AN END.
THE HOLY LAND WILL SEE THE ARMIES OF THE EUROPE ROMAN BEAST POWER AND NATIONS OF THE EAST, IN THAT PART OF THE WORLD AT THE END TIME. THEY WILL BE GETTING READY FOR THE BIG SHOWDOWN AS GIVEN IN REVELATION 16 AND ARMAGEDDON.
IT WILL BE A NO CONTEST— CHRIST WILL COME WITH HIS ARMIES AND WIN THE BATTLE. THE HOLY LAND WILL BE CLEANSED.
