Here we go again....VITAMIN D not needed!

SO  NOW  IT'S  VITAMIN  D   THAT  CERTAIN  STUDIES  IN  NEW  ZEALAND  HAVE  COME  OUT  WITH.....

YOU  DON'T  NEED.... SO  THEY  SAY.

NOW  THE  REST  OF  THE  STORY  AS  LATE  RADIO  COMMENTATOR  PAUL  HARVEY  WOULD  SAY.

CBC (CANADA)  TV  NEWS  THIS  EVENING  BROUGHT  ON  "THEIR  RESIDENT  DOCTOR"  -  HE  SAID  THE  STUDIES  WERE  SET  VERY  HIGH,  LIKE  THEY  WANTED  5%  LESS  DEATHS,  5%  LESS  CANCER,  AND  OTHER  BIG  SIGNS  OF  LESS  THIS  OR  THAT.  DIDN'T  COME,  SO  THEIR  SURMISE.   HE  WENT  ON  TO  SAY  YOU  HAVE  TO  LOOK  AT  YOUR  DIET  AND  SEE  IF  YOU  ARE  GETTING  ENOUGH  "D"  FROM  FOODS.  THE  CANADIAN  NEWSCASTER  ASKED  HIM  ABOUT  THE  QUESTION  OF  "D"  FROM  THE  SUN  AND  WE  CANADIANS  DON'T  GET  ENOUGH  SUN  ON  A  YEAR  ROUND  BASIS.  HE  AGREED  WE  DO  NOT,  SO  AGAIN  NEED  TO  LOOK  AT  YOUR  DIET  HE  SAID.  THEN  ADDED  MORE  STUDIES  ARE  BEING  DONE  OVER  THE  NEXT  TWO  YEARS.  THEN  ADDED  IF  TAKING  AVERAGE  DOSE  OF  "D"  SUPPLEMENTS,  IT  CANNOT  HURT  YOU.

WELL  STUDIES  DONE  IN  NEW  ZEALAND..... THEY  GET  LOTS  OF  SUN,  SO  WITH  A  GOOD  DIET [AND  THAT  REALLY  MEANS  ORGANIC,  THE  WAY  GOD  INTENDED  IT]  I  GUESS  NEW  ZEALAND  FOLK  WOULD  NOT  NEED  "D"  SUPPLEMENTS.

AS  A  KID  GROWING  UP  IN  ENGLAND  IN  THE  1940s  and  1950s  I  GOT  LOTS  OF  SUN [THIS  THING  ABOUT  RAINING  ALL  THE  TIME  IN  ENGLAND  IS  A  FAIRY-TALE AND  PLAIN  HOG-WASH].  WE  HAD  WHOLE  MILK  GIVEN  TO  US  AT SCHOOL [CREAM  RISING  TO  THE  TOP]  -  DRANK  A  PINT  A  DAY.  I  ATE  CHEESE  REGULARLY  AND  FRUITS  AND  VEGETABLES [A  LOT  MORE  ORGANIC  THAN  THEY  ARE  TODAY,  THAT  IS  WITHOUT  BUYING  FROM  THE  ORGANIC  SECTION].

I  WAS  AN  OUTDOORS  GUY  GETTING  LOTS  OF  SUN  UNTIL  WE  SMASHED  UP  THE  OZONE.  DRANK  MILK  UNTIL  WE  SHOT  THE  COWS  FULL  OF  CHEMICALS  AND  WHATEVER  ELSE  IS  NOT  NATURAL.  I  STOPPED  DRINKING  MILK  THEN  FOR  A  FEW  DECADES,  AND  SO  STARTED  TO  TAKE  SUPPLEMENTS  OF  CALCIUM AND  "D."  THEN  SOME  YEARS  BACK  THEY  THROUGH  DEMAND,  CAME  OUT  WITH  "ORGANIC  MILK"  BUT  STILL  HOMOGENIZED  [WELL  SOME  IMPROVEMENT].  NOW  I  AGAIN  DRINK  ORGANIC  COWS  MILK  OR  ORGANIC  GOATS  MILK.  AND  YOU  CAN  NOW  BUY  ORGANIC  CHEESE  IN  THE  BIG  STORES.

BUT  BEING  IN  CANADA,  NOT  GETTING  THE  SUN  LIKE  OTHER  COUNTRIES,  I  STILL  HAVE  BEEN  TAKING  FOR  A  FEW  DECADES  CALCIUM  AND  "D"  SUPPLEMENTS.

I'VE  COME  OFF  HORSES  NOW  AND  AGAIN  ALL  MY  LIFE.  CAME  OF  MY  PRESENT  HORSE  TWICE  ON  HARD  GROUND,  IN  THE  LAST  10  YEARS,  SO  IN  MY  60s.  ONE  TIME  [ABOUT 7  YEARS  AGO]  THOUGHT  I'D  SMASHED  MY  HIP,  IT  FELT  SO  BAD.  BUT  ONLY  BRUISES.

I  THOUGHT,  WELL  ALL  THE  SUPPLEMENTS,  AND  BEING  ABLE  TO  DRINK  ORGANIC  MILK  AGAIN,  SURE  HAVE  KEPT  MY  BONES  STRONG.  NOW  WE  ALSO KNOW  THAT  REGULAR  EXERCISE  HELPS  KEEP  BONES  STRONG  ALSO.  AND  I  DO  INDEED  EXERCISE  REGULARLY.

SO  I  DON'T  CARE  WHAT  NEW  ZEALAND  HAS  TO  SAY,  THEY  AIN'T  IN  CANADA,  AND  I'VE  DONE  WHAT  NEEDS  TO  BE  DONE  IN  MY  SITUATION.  AND  YES  IN  THE  WORLD  TODAY  PREGNANT  LADIES  SHOULD  MAKE  SURE  THEY  ARE  GETTING  CALCIUM  AND  "D"  SUPPLEMENTS.......AS  THE  CANADIAN  CBC  DOCTOR  SAID,  UNLESS  YOUR  REALLY  OVERDOSING  YOURSELF,  CAN'T  DO  YOU  ANY  HARM.  AND  WILL  PROBABLY  DO  YOU  AND  YOUR  BABY  A  WHOLE  LOT  OF  GOOD.
