The Spirit, and Israel's Jubilee
"FIFTY"

The following is taken from the book "The Arithmetic of God"
penned by the scribe Don Kistler as he was fasting and praying in
a church building, away from his family for nine months. Capital
letters are sometimes mine and sometimes by Mr. Kistler.
" The next number is a precious one to me, it is 50 - the
Spirit and Jubilee....Fifty is the number connected with the
Spirit, Holy Spirit and a Jubilee. Its Spirit was poured
out at the first Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus.
The word "Pentecost" means 50. 'And you shall count unto
you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you
brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be
complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall
you number FIFTY days; and you shall offer a new meat offering
unto the Lord.' That's Leviticus 23: 15, 16.
I wonder how many have read that scripture? The sheaf of the
FIRSTFRUITS on the morrow after the Sabbath, of the FIRST DAY OF
THE WEEK as in Lev.23: 10-11, representing....Christ. 'But now is
Christ risen from the dead, and become the FIRSTFRUITS of them
that slept.' That's 1 Cor. 15: 20.
The new meat offering (actually new "grain" offering - Keith
Hunt) that was offered 50 days after the waving of the
firstfruits, representing the outpouring of the Holy
Spirit.......the firstfruits were waved before the Lord on the
first day of the week or on the morrow after the Sabbath." (This
first fruits offering represented the risen Christ, through
the power of the Spirit of God. The work of the Spirit of God
raised Jesus from the grave into glorified eternal life. He was
the first of the firstfruits. The harvest of the new grain
could now begin in the land of Palestine when this firstfruits
sheaf had been waved before the Lord God. It is the work of the
Holy Spirit that will gather in all the children of God into
the first harvest gathering at the resurrection when Jesus
returns to this earth. The power of the Holy Spirit will raise
all those saints of God into that resurrection glory at the
coming of Christ. All this truth I have covered in other studies

Back to the written words of Don Kistler:
"Now let's go into the Court of the Tabernacle. The court of
the Tabernacle was 50 cubits wide. 'The length of the Court shall
be an hundred cubits, and the breadth FIFTY every where, and the
height five cubits of fine twined linen.' That is Ex. 27: 18.
Here is seen the number FIVE, for GRACE, 50, for the SPIRIT, Who
is called the 'Spirit of Grace' in Heb.10: 29 ?
It will be seen that 100 stands for the children of promise
or the Elect. This hanging of the Court that was 50 cubits in
length JOINED UP with the hanging of the long side which was 100
cubits long, so does God give the Spirit to EVERYONE EVERYWHERE,
whom He calls. 'For the promise is unto you, and to your
children, and to ALL that are far off, even as MANY as the Lord
our God shall CALL.' That's Acts 2: 39.
Let's take JUBILEE now. Israel had what is called the year
of Jubilee every 50 years. 'And you shall number SEVEN SABBATHS
of YEARS unto you, seven times seven years; and the space of
seven sabbaths of years shall be unto you FORTY-NINE years. The
you shall cause the TRUMPET of the JUBILEE to sound on the TENTH
DAY of the SEVENTH MONTH, in the day of ATONEMENT shall you make
the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. And you shall
hallow the FIFTIETH year, and proclaim LIBERTY throughout the
land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a JUBILEE unto
you; and you shall return every man unto his possessions, and you
shall return every man unto his family.' That's Lev.25: 8-10.
This year of JUBILEE, in which every man returned unto his
own possession, is a PICTURE of the REIGN of Jesus and His
saints, when all Israel shall return to its possessions and the
ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with songs of
everlasting joy. I'd say that means JUBILEE. 'And the ransomed
of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and
everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and
gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.' That's Isaiah
35: 10.
Here is the word 'ransomed,' so that meant 'redeemed,' and
it is connected with Israel's return of JUBILEE.
Then when 20, the number for REDEMPTION, is multiplied by
50, the number of years connected with the year of JUBILEE, the
product is 1000, the number of years of the Millennium reign as
in Revelation 20: 4-6.
The blowing of the TRUMPET was connected with the year of
JUBILEE and the returning of the people to their possessions.
'And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall beat
off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and
you shall be gathered one by one, O you children of Israel. And
it shall come to pass in that day, that the GREAT TRUMPET SHALL
BE BLOWN, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the
land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall
worship the Lord in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.' That's
Isaiah 27: 12, 13.
'Then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which
caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I
have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of
them any more there. Neither will I hide my face any more from
them: for I have poured out my SPIRIT upon the house of Israel,
says the Lord God.' That's Ezekiel 39: 28, 29.
From this it is seen that there is to be an OUTPOURING of
the SPIRIT on Israel bringing great JOY. We find that in 1 Peter
1: 1 and in 1 Thes. 1: 6.
This is WHY the number 50 is CONNECTED BOTH with the HOLY
SPIRIT and with the YEAR OF JUBILEE. In the year of Jubilee they
were to proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land. In 2 Cor. 3:
17 we read, 'where the SPIRIT of the Lord is, there is LIBERTY.'
The word of God tells us that CREATION shall be DELIVERED
from the Bondage into the GLORIOUS LIBERTY of the CHILDREN of
God. See Romans 8: 21. Israel shall also have rest from her
bondage in the GLORIOUS year of JUBILEE, or the 1000-year
reign. see Isaiah 14: 1-3. that should do it for number 50......"

Well let me add. The wonderful Typology of the Wave Sheaf
offering, representing the risen Christ, the first of the
firstfruits, the first harvest of new crop then beginning,
representing the harvest of new believers in Christ Jesus, the 50
days that this harvest continued unto the day of Pentecost, the
50 cubits width of the Court of the Tabernacle, the 50th year of
Jubilee, the seven times seven days or seven weeks from the wave
sheaf offering to Pentecost, seven complete sevens, the seven
times seven years of sabbaths to the 50th year of Jubilee,
whence LIBERTY and FREEDOM was proclaimed throughout the whole
land. All this by the POWER and MIGHT of the Eternal God
through His great and wonderful HOLY SPIRIT. And all revolving
around the number 50. A 49 day harvest to Pentecost or
Firstfruits Feast day, a 50th day. And a 49 year harvest of sorts
to a 50th year of Jubilee Liberty and freedom.
Jesus was raised from the dead through the power of Spirit.
He comes to live within His followers through the power of the
Spirit, those who are now being brought into the new harvest of
God by the Spirit. The first harvest of saints to be gathered in
at the coming again of Christ to this earth, will be by a
resurrection of those saints through the power of the Spirit. The
regathering of Israel and Judah from the land of their enemies
and being brought back to Zion with singing and joy, at the sound
of the trumpet call, when Christ comes again, will be all done
through the power of the Spirit. The freedom for all nations on
earth from the bondage of sin and the Devil, when Jesus comes to
reign for a 1000 years, will be accomplished by the power of the
Spirit.
All this symbolism and typology of truth is moulded and
shaped around seven times seven weeks and years (the complete and
perfect number times the perfect number) finished by a 50th day
or 50th year....Pentecost....a JUBILEE of BLESSING, all
accomplished through the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT, poured out so
MIGHTILY on that great Feast of Pentecost as recorded in Acts
chapter two, which was the 50th day from the offering of the Wave
Sheaf.
Pentecost = 50th = HOLY SPIRIT = Jubilee LIBERTY
"Not by might, nor by strength, but by My SPIRIT, says the
Lord of hosts" (Zech.4:6).
