HE LEFT EVERYTHING
by Joyce Allen
Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:7 that if we have accepted Jesus Christ to dwell in us, our body, the earthen vessel, is the abiding place of the Holy Spirit and that we show forth His power, not our own.
How can we have the complete filling of our lives with this power? The desire of every sincere Christian is to be able to live victoriously for Him and be freed from the bondage of sin. Jesus says: "Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." So our desire must be to hunger and thirst after righteousness before everything else, it must be our daily prayer, and He has promised we shall be filled. 'Ask and it shall be given,' He tells us.
Just as our salvation is promised to us (John 1:12) and we accept in faith that He has forgiven and saved us, so He has promised us all things that pertain unto life and godliness by His divine power (2 Pet. 1:3); and we must accept this if we want the complete filling of our lives with the Holy Spirit, If we truly desire Jesus to dwell in us and make His abiding place in us, then our earthen vessels must be presented empty and clean.
Take a jug half filled with mud and stone, try to fill it with fresh clear water and it is only possible to fill it in part, for it is already half filled with something else. So it is with our earthen vessels; we must let Him root out sin and self completely so that we can come to Him to receive the full measure of the Holy Spirit that God has promised. We identify ourselves with Christ on the cross so that we can say with Paul: "I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me" (Gal. 2:20).
When Christ came down to earth to save fallen man He divested Himself of every divine right and He "emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, be-
coming obedient even unto death, yea, the dfeath of the cross" (Phil. 2:7,8).
In these verses we realize what it meant for Him to save us. He left everything and became empty that He might give us eternal life through His obedience unto the death on the cross. So we must cling to nothing and no reservations if we desire to be filled and to be satisfied with the fullness of the Spirit Jesus said: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" (Matt 5:48). The Greek word used is "telios" and it means complete. When Christ dwells in us we have the perfect and complete relationship with Him so that we can have the power to bring forth fruit to perfection (completion). It is not, then, sinless perfection but completeness with Him: "Ye are dead, and your life is hid, with Christ in God" (Col. 3:3)1 In the parable of the vine we learn what the result is if He dwells in us and we in Him. We bring forth fruit (Eph. 5:9), and we see that the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance (Gal. 5:22,23), and our lives should show forth these fruits by the power of His Holy Spirit Who dwells in us and makes us perfect.

THERE IS A FALSE DOCTRINE GOING AROUND, EVEN IN SOME OF THE 7TH DAY SABBATH CHURCHES; IT IS A HERESY TO PUT IT BLUNTLY!
IT IS THE TEACHING THAT JESUS WAS NOT "GOD." IT IS THE TEACHING THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE INDIVIDUAL KNOWN AS "GOD." IT IS THE TEACHING THAT JESUS WAS A MERE MAN FILLED WITH MORE OF THE SPIRIT THAN WE HAVE. THIS TEACHING GOES AS FAR AS SAYING JESUS NEVER EXISTED UNTIL CONCEIVED IN MARY'S WOMB.
THE CHURCH OF GOD SEVENTH DAY OUT OF DENVER, TAUGHT THIS IDEA FOR 100 YEARS AND MORE, UNTIL THE MIDDLE 1980s. THEN THEY CAME TO SEE THEIR ERROR. THEY WROTE A VERY FINE BOOKLET ON THE SUBJECT, CORRECTING THEMSELVES AND OTHERS WHO HOLD THIS FALSE HERESY. THEY WILL SEND IT TO YOU FREE OF CHARGE.
THE MESSIAH WAS TO BE CALLED "IMMANUEL" IN THE BOOK OF ISAIAH. IMMANUEL MEANS GOD WITH US!
JESUS DID EXIST WITH GOD AND WAS GOD (JOHN 1), AND HE BECAME FLESH. THE NEW TESTAMENT SPEAKS OF A "GODHEAD" - GOD THE FATHER IS GOD, AND JESUS THE CHRIST IS GOD. LET ME PUT IT THIS WAY.... BOTH HAVE THE SURNAME "GOD" YES TWO INDIVIDUAL BEINGS OF THE GODHEAD, BOTH WITH THE NAME "GOD,"
ALL OF THIS I PROVE WITH IN-DEPTH STUDIES "ALL ABOUT GOD" ON MY WEBSITE.
ONLY A GOD BEING COULD TAKE, ATONE FOR THE SINS OF EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER LIVED ON THIS EARTH. ANYONE LESS THAN GOD COULD ONLY ATONE FOR HIS SINS, OR PUT ANOTHER WAY, COULD ONLY ATONE FOR ONE PERSON'S SINS AND NO MORE.
THE GOD MEMBER OF THE GODHEAD, WAS WILLING TO PUT ASIDE THE POWER, THE GLORY, THE ETERNITY, OF BEING GOD, AND CAME IN THE FLESH [GOD WITH US - IMMANUEL] TO LIVE A SINLESS LIFE, TO DIE, SHED HIS BLOOD, FOR ALL SINS EVER DONE BY ALL PEOPLE.
YOU NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT GOD - THE GODHEAD WANTS YOU TO KNOW ABOUT THEMSELVES. YOU'LL FIND THIS WONDERFUL TRUTH ON MY WEBSITE.
