Amos For Today
Chapters 1 to 6

Amos gave his prophecy about the time of 760 B.C. He was from the southern kingdom of Judah. He was a shepherd. He was shocked at the moral decline in the kingdom to the north - Israel. But it was all written down for the prophecy is also for the very end time of this age. Leading up to the return of the Messiah Christ Jesus. The Old Testament prophetic books can only be understood when you know who Israel and Judah are today. The House of Israel never returned from the Assyrian captivity— they migrated North and West, eventually becoming the Western Nations, all but Germany [who are the peoples of the Assyrian Empire]. The Protestant prophets will not see this hence they have no truth about end time prophecy; they are blind leaders of the blind. CHAPTER 1 |
Amos starts where Joel left off. God will ROAR FROM ZION AND
UTTER HIS VOICE FROM JERUSALEM. Amos gives prophecies
of punishment to Damascus, Gaza and Tyrus, Edom and Ammon.
We have covered those prophecies in the three so-called
major prophetic books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. The
obvious reading here is a context for the THEN PRESENT in
the days of the time of Amos. But as with a lot of prophecy to
nations, it has an application in the end times.
CHAPTER 2
The prophecy against Moab or the Jordan area people is given
in verses 12-3. We have covered this in the three major prophet
books.
Now Amos turns to prophecy against Judah and in the MAIN
against the house of Israel. Judah has forsaken God and they have
despised the LAW of the Lord; they have NOT kept His
commandments; their lies cause them to err. A fire will come
upon them. Let me state it once more, the Jews in the main, and
especially those in the Holy Land are a SECULAR people, only
a SMALL minority of them are at all religious, and they are
religious to the Old Testament, as the vast majority of them DO
NOT accept Christ Jesus as the Messiah If you are watching the
TV news you will see the corruptions of government that ever
seem to plague the state of Israel. The troubles, the war, the
fighting "fire" as Amos calls it is ever present with the Jews in
the Holy Land.
Prophecy to Israel
Israel, you peoples of North-West Europe, the British
nations, and the United States of America; you have sold the
righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes. In other
words the righteousness of God is of little value to you. You
have cast the Lord out of your daily living, your wickedness,
crime, evil, corruptions in high places, and your immorality
(as like a father and son going into the same young lady the
way Amos put it) is all too common. Your sexual immorality
is beyond words to describe it, it is so common a place.
God relates how he destroyed the Amorites who were as tall
as the height of cedars and strong like an oak tree. The Lord is
saying that Israel better not look to any of its might or power
of war machines, for to God they are as nothing. It is HE who is
the GIANT, and He can destroy whoever He wills.
The Eternal wants you to remember it was He that brought
your fathers up out of the land of Egypt, and gave you the right
wholesome laws. You on the other hand told your children and
everyone, "Oh, do not speak God's word to us, do not tell us what
He is saying or going to do." God is heavily burdened by your
sins, hence He has determine that the flight will perish from the
swift, the strong will not strengthen his force, nor the mighty
deliver themselves. Those that handle the war machines will not
stand or deliver themselves. The day will come when those who
claim to be courageous among the mighty will run away naked
(verses 6-16).
CHAPTER 3
HEAR THIS God says to the whole family of Israel that came
up out of Egypt. It is you only that God chose of all the families
of the earth. You shall suffer for your sins. God says it was I and
you, but can two walk together unless they agree.
Israel you walk no more in the pathway of the Lord; the Lord
walks on a different road than you do. It is not possible to walk
together.
If the trumpet is blown in the city, if the war bell sounds,
shall not the people be afraid? You bet they will be! So it shall
be. Shall destruction come upon your cities and it is not the
Lord who has done it?
As for the natural disasters that come on your towns and
cities, as you have been experiencing in the last number of
years, it may well be coming directly from God; certainly the
Lord is ALLOWING it to come on you, but you will still not
TURN to Him in humble repentance.
"SURELY THE LORD GOD WILL DO NOTHING,
BUT HE REVEALS HIS SECRETS UNTO HIS SERVANTS
THE PROPHETS!!" (verses 6-7).
THIS WEBSITE IN PART IS DEVOTED TO BLOWING
THE TRUMPET, TO BEING A WATCHMAN TO THE HOUSE
OF ISRAEL AND JUDAH. WHETHER YOU WILL LISTEN
OR NOT, YOU ARE BEING TOLD WHAT WILL COME
UPON YOU FOR YOUR INIQUITIES AND SINS!
God says you know NOT to do the RIGHT, YOU STORE UP
VIOLENCE, so violence will come on you. An enemy is coming
to take your strength and destroy your cities. When God comes to
visit your transgressions with punishment the false religions of Baal
will be dashed to the ground. All the winter houses and summer
houses that are rich with physical wealth will be wiped away. There
will be no more the hugely rich mansions of film-stars and the rich
elite of your nations. They like all will be dashed to pieces.
CHAPTER 4
The days will come, the time will arrive when God will take
you away like with hooks and your prosperity with fishhooks.
Already God has given you cleanness of teeth in many of your
cities, troubles and disasters have come, but you still will NOT
return to the Lord your God. At times the rain has been held back
from you, it rained on one town and not on another, drought was
here and there. Some cities had to have help from other cities,
but still you have NOT returned to your God.
The Eternal has smitten you with blasting and mildew, the
various insects have eaten your crops, and your harvests have
suffered, BUT STILL YOU WILL NOT TURN TO YOUR GOD.
THE ALMIGHTY HAS SENT AMONG YOU THE PLAGUE
AND THE PESTILENCE, YOU HAVE DECEASES YOU CANNOT
HEAL. THE ETERNAL HAS ALLOWED YOUR YOUNG PEOPLE
TO BE STAIN BY THE SWORD, AND YOU ARE FACING WARS
THAT YOU CANNOT WIN. THERE IS DEATH AND STINK IN
YOUR NOSTRILS, BUT YOU STILL WILL NOT TURN TO SERVE
YOUR GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH!!
THE LORD SAYS HE HAS OVERTHROWN SOME OF YOUR
TOWNS AND CITIES AS HE OVERTHREW SODOM AND
GOMORAH - COMPLETELY WIPED OFF THE FACE OF THE
EARTH ..... BUT YOU STILL HAVE NOT TURNED TO HIM!!
"THEREFORE THUS I WILL DO UNTO YOU, O ISRAEL:
AND BECAUSE I WILL CONTINUE TO DO IT TO YOU,
THEN YOU HAD BETTER BE PREPARED TO MEET
YOUR GOD!!"
(verses 1-12).
Who is it that you are dealing with Israel? Have you forgotten?
Are you so blinded you do not understand WHY this is happening
and WHO is sending and allowing all this disaster to strike you?
LISTEN! This is He who you are contending with!
"For, lo, He that FORMS THE MOUNTAINS AND CREATED
THE WIND, and declares unto man what is his thoughts, that
MAKETH THE MORNING DARKNESS, and treads upon the high
places of the earth, THE LORD, THE GOD OF HOSTS IS HIS NAME!"
(verse 13).
The Eternal God of CREATION controls all. I do not know which of the
natural disasters come DIRECTLY from God, BUT SOME OF THEM DO!
And certainly the others that have bombarded you have been ALLOWED
of God. He has many times WITHHELD HIS PROTECTIVE HAND
FROM YOU, BUT YOUR STIFF NECK WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO
HUMBLY REPENT AND TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINS.
CHAPTER 5
HEAR this from the Lord O house of Israel. The city that went out
by a THOUSAND shall leave but a HUNDRED, and that which went
forth by a HUNDRED shall leave but TEN!
God calls out to you to SEEK Him and LIVE! If not He will then
break out on you as like fire. You need to SEEK HIM who rules the
physical creation and the whole universe.
What else does your Lord have against you Israel? You HATE
those who REBUKE you; you ABHOR him that speaks
UPRIGHTLY to you, that tells it like it is, who names your sins and
lays the cards on the table. You have your plans to increase and increase
and build and build, plant and plant. But your sins, the sins of the
rich over the poor (as we have seen in the Wall Street crash of
September 2008) .... you know them, and so you had better be
prudent and KEEP SILENT, FOR THE EVIL TIME FOR YOU IS
GOING TO COME!
[MAYBE THIS COVID VIRUS IS JUST THE START OF THE
WESTERN NATIONS [THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL] FALL AND
EVENTUAL DESTRUCTION]
Once more God cries out to you to SEEK GOOD, and not evil,
that you may LIVE! You need to HATE evil, and LOVE the good,
and establish true JUDGMENT in your gates. Then if you do, the Lord
may be gracious unto you. As we have seen in Ezekiel if the sinner
turns from his sins and does righteousness, he shall LIVE IN HIS
RIGHTEOUSNESS, HE SHALL NOT DIE!
Sadly your turning back to the pathway of the Lord will not
come about. Therefore you WILL WAIL in the streets, on the
highways, in the fields, when the Lord passes through your lands
to punish you.
WOE to those who desire the DAY OF THE LORD. Yes many want
to see Christ back on earth, but they do not stop and think, or
are taught false doctrines like the "rapture" - they do not realize that
BEFORE Christ can come back, there is to be the DAY OF THE LORD.
And that day is DARKNESS, and NOT light. We have seen this in
the book of Joel. It will be a day as when a man flees from a lion,
and a bear meets him .... just NO WAY OUT OF THE KILLING AND
THE BLOOD!
The DAY OF THE LORD will indeed be DARKNESS! (verses 1-20).
Religious Abominations of Israel
God says He HATES your religious festivals and the days you
have chosen. He will not be a part of them. He IS NOT a part of
them. He will NOT ACCEPT the sound of your religious songs and
the nicety-nice spiritual music you play. You can do the outward
practices of religion, your calling on His name, your prayers,
your spiritual sounding talk and sermons and all of it, BUT HE
WILL NOT ACCEPT IT, HE IS NOT A PART OF IT, YOU HOLD
TO THE TRADITIONS OF MEN WHILE IGNORING THE
COMMANDMENTS OF GOD. As Jesus said in the Gospels
IT IS ALL IN VAIN DO YOU WORSHIP GOD!!
The Lord is NOT A PART of your FALSE religion and FALSE
festivals, such as SUNDAY, EASTER, CHRISTMAS, NEW YEAR,
HALLOWEEN, and even THANKSGIVING DAY, many more
that this or that church organization traditionally hold. They are
indeed traditions of men and do not come from the truth of the Bible.
You will NOT TURN in truth to the Lord Almighty so you will
in His good time go into captivity for all your abominations and
sins (verses 21-27).
CHAPTER 6
WOE to those in Zion and who put their trust in Israel Samaria.
The Jews of the Holy Land do indeed put trust in the nations of Britain
and the United States. There will be no lasting security in such a close
connection of loyalty.
YOU PUT AWAY FROM YOURSELVES THE IDEA OR THE
THOUGHT THAT EVIL WILL COME UPON YOU, AND THAT
VIOLENT DESTRUCTION CAN BE YOUR REWARD. YOU LIE
UPON BEDS OF IVORY, YOU EAT AND BE MERRY, YOU
WALLOW IN YOUR PHYSICAL RICHES, YOU DRINK YOUR
WINE, YOU DRESS YOURSELVES IN FINE LINEN AND
OILS AND JEWELS. BUT YOU ARE NOT GRIEVED FOR THE
BREACH (margin) OF ISRAEL. YOU DO NOT LOOK AT YOUR
SINS AND WICKEDNESS.
THE LORD SAYS HE ABHORS THE EXCELLENCY OF JACOB,
HE HATES YOUR PALACES OF WEALTH. HE WILL DELIVER
IT ALL UP TO DESTRUCTION. ALL SMALL OR GREAT WILL
FIND DEATH, FEW WILL BE LEFT.
GOD WILL RAISE UP A NATION TO COME AGAINST ISRAEL,
THEY WILL AFFLICT YOU, THERE WILL BE NO ESCAPE!
(verses 1-14).
I have shown you in many studies that it will be the nation Empire
of Germany Europe, the last Holy Roman Empire to rise in Europe.
Nay it is already there in Europe. It just needs more time to FORM
AND BUILD, which it will. When God is ready, when He says this
age must come to a close, that Jesus must be sent back to bring the
Kingdom of God to earth, then all the end time prophecies will
come to pass. And the DESTRUCTION of Britain/America by the
Beast power of Europe is the beginning of the Great Tribulation on
this earth. Then the DAY OF THE LORD and finally the RETURN
of Christ Jesus.

Amos For Today
Chapters 7 to 9

CHAPTER 7 |
The plumbline is upon Israel, the straight edge, the recognizing
of wrong, of sin, will not be winked at; God will not pass by with
a blind eye any more; the time for judgment and punishment will
come; Israel will be laid waste, the sword will come upon all the
lands of Israel.
Yes, this section was written as the historical events of the days
of Amos, Jeroboam the king was to die. Amos is told to "get lost" -
get back to Judah and give prophecy there but not in Israel.
Amos replies that he was going about his work as a herdsman
and gatherer of sycamore fruit; it was the Lord who called him
and told him to go and give warning prophecy to Israel. Amos
continued his reply by telling them that the SWORD of death and
destruction would come on them. The people of Israel would go
into captivity into another land.
And we know of course that it DID HAPPEN. We have seen also
in Jeremiah 30 that these things will HAPPEN AGAIN, AT THE
END TIME. The house of Israel and House of Judah are still two
Separate peoples when Christ comes again. They are in a state of
Destruction and captivity to their enemy lovers. The nations of the
House of Israel are today the nations of the Western world, all but
Germany. The House of Judah are the Jews. You will ALL FALL
IN CAPTIVITY TO THE BEAST/BABYLON HOLY ROMAN
EMPIRE LED BY GERMANY AT THE END TIME. ONLY ONE
TENTH OF YOU SHALL BE ALIVE AT JESUS’ COMING TO
DELIVER YOU OUT OF THAT DESTRUCTION.
CHAPTER 8
God once more tells us that He will not pass by with closed
eyes. The summer fruit is over, the day of reckoning is at hand
for Israel. The songs in the temples of Israel, the religious
institutions, will be songs of HOWLING; for dead people will be
everywhere, there will be silence in Israel (verses 1-2).
Judgment against Deceitful Merchants
"Hear this, O you that swallow up the needy, even to make the
poor of the land to fail" (verse 4).
What have we seen in September 2008? We have seen the greedy
"I'll get my riches" investor bankers of Wall Street CRASH as
their sinful ways FAILED, and the average "fellow on the street"
is also made to fail. Then the most un-popular President since
Richard Nixon, George Bush, wants the average citizen to bail out
the filthy-rich elite of Wall Street. It is a DOUBLE WHAMY for
the average USA citizen. Those investors had the attitude of
"When will the new month day be gone, that we may sell corn? And
the Sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small,
and the shekel great, and FALSIFYING the balance sheet by
DECEIT!" (verses 5).
It is the attitude of "To hell with you and everything, do
not stop for this day or that day, work at the deception all the
time. I will do anything to make myself rich." Have you seen the
various number of mansions these people have here and there, as
it was shown on the TV news programs. And there was all the
extremely expensive "parties" these guys put on to help falsify
the balance sheets. At the moment there is no talk about making
these fellows PAY BACK MILLIONS, or making them sell their
huge expensive homes, cars, boats etc.
It was the attitude of "We may buy the poor for silver, and
the needy for a pair of shoes; Yes, sell the refuse of the wheat!"
(verse 6).
[YOU ARE SLOWLY BEING EATEN AWAY WITH NATURAL
DISASTERS, AND NOW THIS COVID-19 VIRUS; MANY
SAY WE SHOULD JUST IGNORE IT AND GO ABOUT
OUR DAILY LIFE AS BEFORE. WITH THAT ATTITUDE YOU
WILL BE BROUGHT TO MISERY AND DEATH]
Time may pass, the USA may BAIL these guys out, maybe it
will take a TRILLION dollars of tax money to stay off even more
failure. Maybe the USA will get out of this MESS from the deceit
and serious mistakes of white collar bankers ... maybe it will
all be history one day, but God says "I have SWORN by the
excellency of Jacob, Surely I will NEVER FORGET ANY OF
THEIR WORKS" (verse 7).
For this "falsifying the balanced by deceit" and all the
other iniquities of Israel, God says, "Shall not the land TREMBLE
for this, and every one MOURN that dwells therein; and it shall
rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned,
as by the flood of Egypt" (verse 8).
As sure as the rising of the sun, the day of punishment is
coming on Israel for their totality of sins.
The Day of Mourning for Spiritual Famine
Today we have the great blessing of FREEDOM to study the
Word of God. You can open your Bible in the lands of Israel any
time, at your discretion and study the words of God. You can
listen to the radio, watch and listen to TV, and all the religious
programs you like. You can get on the Internet and open up my
Website and my Blog, study the word of the Lord to your
hearts content.
But it is not always going to be this way!!
There is coming a time when the sun will go down at noon,
and God will darken the earth in the clear day. The day is coming
when the Feasts of Israel, all the ones that give you joy, shall
be held with MOURNING; your songs will be songs of
LAMENTATION; sackcloth will be the garment to wear, and baldness
upon every head; it will be as the mourning of an only son who dies,
and the day will be as bitterness.
A FAMINE IS COMING! Not a famine of bread to eat, nor of
thirst for water, [though that is coming also] BUT A HEARING THE
WORDS OF THE LORD! (verse 9-11).
THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THIS WEBSITE WILL NOT BE
AVAILABLE TO YOU! WHEN OTHER WEBSITES OF MY
CO-WORKERS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO YOU! THE TRUTHS
OF THE BIBLE WILL NOT BE PROCLAIMED TO YOU AS THEY
CAN BE TODAY!
IF GOD IS GIVING YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY

WORDS OF THE LORD.
FOR THE TIME WILL COME WHEN "they (the people of Israel and
Judah) shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to
the east, they shall run to and fro to SEEK the WORD of the Lord,
AND SHALL NOT FIND IT!!" (verse 12).
The young virgin ladies and men shall faint for thirst -
spiritual thirst for sure. All who put their trust in the false
religions of Samaria Israel shall FALL in that day (verse 13,14).
It will be the time of Jacob's Trouble as Jeremiah put it in
his prophecy (Jer. 30: 7-9). The time of great tribulation on earth
as never the like before nor ever will be again (see Daniel 12:1-
3; Mat.24:21). IT IS THE GREAT TRIBULATION THAT
LEADS TO THE DAY OF THE LORD! THE LAST YEAR OF
THIS AGE
CHAPTER 9
Vision of God Destroying the Religious Idolaters
The vision that Amos sees is towards all the false religion
in Israel. The words are chilling to say the least. When it is
time to punish the house of Israel (which is most of the Western
world) the individuals that have not come under the Babylon
Mystery religion of the European Beast power will suffer in no
uncertain way; as the book of Revelation shows, if you have not
taken the "mark" of the Beast you will be hunted down and killed
as also shown in this passage of Amos. For many there will be no
escape, fleeing will not save you, going down into the ground,
climbing the hills to heaven, out or under the sea; all a
figurative way of saying ...."And though they go into captivity
before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it
shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and
not for good" (verses 1-4).
As the 12th chapter of Revelation shows, there will be SOME
from the very TRUE Church of God, that will find protection in
the WILDERNESS. Satan and his Babylon Beast will try to find
them, but God will use the natural elements like the earth-quake
to defend and protect the saints in the wilderness.
The "rapture" of these saints to heaven (as a good portion
of fundamental Christianity teaches) is a FALSE doctrine. But
Revelation 12 does teach that SOME true Christians will be
PROTECTED on this earth in the WILDERNESS.
There are studies on this Website explaining all this.
God is the CREATOR, it is He who has power over the forces
of nature (verses 5-7).
His eyes are on the SINFUL kingdom, and He will destroy it
off the earth, but in so saying, He also adds He will NOT UTTERLY
destroy the house of Jacob (verse 8).
"For lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel
among the nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall
not the least grain fall upon the earth. All the sinners of my
people shall die by the sword, which say, 'The evil shall not
overtake nor prevent us'" (verses 9-10).
It is an attitude of UN-REPENTANCE! As we have seen only
ONE in TEN shall live. Those left shall not be lost or fall to the
ground. During the Great Tribulation those Israelites left alive
will start to REPENT! They will see why they have been destroyed
and punished with death and sorrow. They will begin to turn back
to their God in spirit and in truth. By the time we get to the
"day of the Lord" 12 THOUSAND from each tribe of Israel will
have God's Spirit in them (Revelation 7) except the tribe of Dan -
and I do not know why Dan is not included, we are not told.
Then the time will come when God will raise up the
tabernacle of David that is fallen, the breaches will be closed
up; Israel will begin to rise from ruin, for Jesus the Messiah,
as we have seen in so many prophecies already, will COME, and
will GATHER the scattered children of Israel and Judah from the
lands of their enemies and bring them back to the Holy Land.
True religion - the tabernacle of David (as it is written - the man
after God's own heart) will be RESTORED to Israel, as Christ and
the resurrected saints with Him come to Jerusalem, to dwell in
Zion.
As we have seen, and as we will in the book of Obadiah,
Israel will possess Edom (Turkey) - deal out punishment on them
as the Israelites march back from Europe and enter Turkey on
their way to the Holy Land (verse 12).
It is the time for the NEW AGE to begin! The Kingdom of God
is on earth. So the Lord says:
"Behold, the days come, says the Lord, that the plowman shall
overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth
seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and the hills
shall melt. And I will BRING AGAIN the captivity of my people
of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them;
and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall
also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them
upon their land, and they shall NO MORE be pulled up out of their
land which I have given them, says the Lord thy God" (verses 13-15).
This could NOT be a prophecy for the Israel or Judah of
Amos's day, and Judah's return from Babylon after their 70 year
captivity, FOR THE JEWS WERE AGAIN REMOVED FROM
THE HOLY LAND under the Roman Empire. They did not become
a nation again in the Holy Land until 1948 A.D.
The whole CONTEXT and the whole messages in all the other
prophetic books of the Old Testament, even THEIR CONTEXTS,
prove the verses here in Amos, ARE FOR THE VERY TIME OF THE
END AND THE SETTING UP OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD ON
EARTH, WHEN JESUS WILL RETURN AND DELIVER ISRAEL
AND JUDAH OUT OF CAPTIVITY AND PLANT THEM BACK
IN THE HOLY LAND, WHERE THEY WILL BE PROSPEROUS
AND ALL OF THEM WILL HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD, AND
WILL FINALLY BE A LIGHT TO THE WORLD, AS WAS
ORIGINALLY INTENDED BY THE LORD (Deuteronomy 4).
