Hosea For Today 

Chapters 7 to 14

CHAPTER 7

The Corruptions and Wickedness of Israel

     It is over and over that God lays down the sins of Israel.

He makes every effort to warn them, tells them to REPENT so 

they will not have to go into captivity. 

     But they consider not in their heart to remember their

iniquities. It would seem the rulers of Israel just will NOT

listen, so their doings are before the face of the Lord. They are

like an oven prepared for the baking; they are hot to sin as an

oven is to bake. Your judges and leaders are devoured and have

fallen. They just do not know how to lead you back onto the right

and correct pathway of righteousness. Ephraim Britain is a burnt

cake, just rotten and hard as brick to see its wickedness.

Outsiders have devoured your once mighty strength of character.

They are so proud they cannot find their way back to their God

(verses 1-10).

     My father at age 85 went back to Britain in 2005 with the

desire to live the rest of his life back in the small village we

came from in south Wales. He was there for one year. He told me

on the phone he could not stay there in Britain because of their

evil and wickedness and corruption from the top of the head down

to the foot. He returned to Canada.

     Ephraim Britain is like a silly dove God says, she goes to

Egypt and the Assyrian (Germany Europe and the Middle East) for

help. God says that he will spread His net upon them; He will

bring them down as the fowls of heaven; He will correct them just

as they have been told. Woe unto you Britain for you have fled

from your God. Destruction will come on you because you have

transgressed against the Lord. He has blessed you but you have

now spoken lies and live in lies. You have NOT cried out to your

Maker and God. Even when in deep trouble you did not cry out to

Him, but went to Germany Europe to try and help your problems and

find prosperity. Oh you turn all right, you move, you change, but

NOT in God's direction. You will again be in captivity as in the

land of Egypt (verses 11-16).

CHAPTER 8

     The TRUMPET is to blow! The Lord shall come as an eagle to

the prey, FOR you have transgressed the covenant of living with

God and have transgressed His LAW. The time will come when you

will cry "My God, we know you, help us!" But it will be too late.

You people of Israel have rejected what is the right and good way

and so the enemy will come to destroy you (verses 1-3).

     

     You set up kings, but NOT by me; you have made princes, and

God had no part in it. God is NOT IN YOUR POLITICS! Your rulers

are not sent from God (verse 4). 

     Many of you thought George Bush was the "man from God" for

the leading of the United States 8 year ago (2000 to 2008). But

what a MESS the USA is in today as I write this just before

another President comes into power. President Bush boy has gone

down in history as the most un-popular President since Richard

Nixon, and Richard Nixon did not lead the USA into any where near

the mess the USA is in today.

     Your silver and gold has led you to idolatry. Your banking

guys have led you to another 1939 CRASH! Now the average tax

payer has to bail out Wall Street to the tune of about 1 TRILLION

dollars, in this month of September 2008 (verse 4).

     You have SOWN THE WIND AND YOU WILL REAP THE 

WHIRL-WIND!!

     Israel is swallowed up; you will finally be a junky, a

vessel worthless around the Gentiles. For you hope in Assyria

Germany Europe - Ephraim Britain has hired LOVERS. You will

writhe under the burden of the great king of the North, the

Europe Roman Empire of the last days.

     Ephraim, Britain and family, you have made altars to sin,

you are the sick nation of the Europe Union. So God will leave

you to your sins. He has written and given you the great things

of His law, that you once loved, but NOW you count them as a

"strange thing" - those teaching of the good and right ways of

the Lord are laughed at, ignored, counted as the enemy of freedom

and choice. Here in Canada if you call same sex marriage an EVIL

and SIN, you are cast as a BIGOT and an enemy of "love" and

"social respect" for all peoples whatever they believe or want to

practice. 

     God will remember your sins and you will one day return to

the slavery of Egypt as in the beginning, when you were delivered

under Moses and given the law of God.

     ISRAEL, you have FORGOTTEN your Maker; you build temples of

one religion or another in your lands. JUDAH, you build and

multiply your fenced and protected cities; BUT God will send a

FIRE UPON your cities and you will be devoured! (verses 7-14).

     We have seen in other prophecies how Judah is full of sins

and corruptions. This September 2008 the leader of the state of

Israel has had to resign because of deep corruption in his life,

and the new woman leader they say will have a very difficult time

to form even a coalition government. Corruption and violence is

still a major part of life in Jerusalem and Judah. 

CHAPTER 9

"REJOICE NOT, O Israel, for joy, as other people; for you have

gone a whoring from your God..."  The riches of Israel will no

longer save you. Ephraim Britain will return to the slavery days

of Egypt, and shall eat unclean things in Germany Assyria. Your

days of visitation and punishment are coming. Israel, you will

know that your prophets are FOOLS, and the spiritual man is MAD,

YOU WILL COME TO KNOW YOUR INIQUITIES AND THE 

GREAT HATRED YOU HAVE BEEN TAUGHT AGAINST THE 

LORD AND HIS TRUE WAYS. You and they (your prophets and 

spiritual men) have DEEPLY CORRUPTED yourselves, so God 

will remember your iniquities and He will visit you with correction 

for your sins.

LACK OF KINDNESS, CONCERN, AND LOVE FOR ALL PEOPLES

AND MANY MANY OTHER SINS! AS EXPOUNDED BY THE WORD OF GOD.

 

     As for Ephraim Britain, your GLORY will fly away like a

bird, it already has, your days of glory are over.

     Though you will bring up children, you will loose them, it

is woe to you when God finally departs from you. Though Britain

you are planted in a very pleasant place (the British Isles are

like the garden of Eden in so many ways), you will bring up your

children for the MURDERER! God will one day finally take His love

from you, you will in effect be driven out of His house, for a

while He will love you no more; all your princely leaders are

REVOLTERS against the Lord.

     It is decreed that Ephraim will be mitten, their root to dry

up, bearing no fruit. Yes, though they bring forth children the

Lord will SLAY even the fruit of the womb.

     Hosea shouts, "My God will CAST THEM AWAY, BECAUSE 

THEY DID NOT HARKEN UNTO HIM, AND THEY SHALL 

WANDER AMONG THE NATIONS" (verses 11-17).

CHAPTER 10

     Israel will be an empty vine, as they increased with fruit

they increased their altars to false worship and sin. The

goodness of their lands made them more images of sin and

corruption. God will come and punish. Israel will one day say,

"We have no king, because we feared not the Lord." It is the

mighty Assyrian nation - the GERMAN people who will spear-head a

mighty Europe Beast Babylon power that will carry you away into

captivity. The punishment will put an end to your gross sins,

your false altars will be covered with thistles, and you will

desire the mountains to cover you, for the hills to fall on you,

for so great will be your pain and suffering (verses 1-8).

     It is the Lord's will to punish you, to chastise you, the

people He will use will be gathered against you.

     It will be the time to sow righteousness, to reap for mercy,

a time to REALLY SEEK the Lord, till He arrives to rain

righteousness on you.

     You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped iniquity; you

have eaten the fruit of lies in your way of life: BECAUSE you did

trust in YOUR OWN ways, and in the multitude of your so-called

mighty leaders of government, economics, military, and

spirituality.

     It will be a mighty TUMULT among you in the day of your

correction, and none of your mighty fortresses of economics

and/or war machines will save you; they will be for the spoiler

(9-15).

CHAPTER 11

     God called you out of Egypt as a son, but as you went you

turned to false idols. God taught Ephraim to go in the right way,

but many times they did not acknowledge the Lord was their

healer. He drew them with bands of love. Now God has decided

because you are like your forefathers, not to send you back into

Egypt, but the Assyrian German will be your master and king. The

sword of his army shall abide on your cities.  

     God says you are BENT on backsliding into sin: though you

have at times an outward face of calling to the Most High (when

something like a massive natural disaster strikes you, or the

enemy blows up some of your mighty buildings as the infamous 

9 / 11  of 2001) you really do not EXALT Him in deep and humble

contrition that leads to turning from sin to holy righteousness

(verses 1-7).

"HOW CAN I GIVE YOU UP, EPHRAIM? HOW SHALL I DELIVER YOU, ISRAEL?

.... I WILL NOT EXECUTE THE FIERCENESS OF MINE ANGER, I WILL NOT

RETURN TO DESTROY YOU COMPLETELY EPHRAIM: FOR I AM GOD, NOT MAN;

THE HOLY ONE IN THE MIDST OF YOU. I WILL YET BE IN YOUR CITIES.

YOU WILL YET WALK AFTER THE LORD: HE WILL ROAR LIKE A LION: WHEN HE DOES THE CHILDREN IN THE WEST WILL TREMBLE. THEY WILL TREMBLE AS A BIRD OUT OF EGYPT, AND AS A DOVE OUT OF THE LAND OF ASSYRIA: I WILL PLACE THEM IN THEIR HOUSES, SAYS THE LORD" (verses 8-11).

(THIS HAS NEVER BEEN DONE—HAVE THE CITIES GOT THE ETERNAL WALKING IN THEM? ARE THE NATIONS OF ISRAEL AND JUDAH WAKING AFTER THEIR GOD? I GUESS THEY ARE NOT; MOST OF THEM HAVE BECOME SECULAR— NON-RELIGIOUS, AND THEY BREAK THE COMMANDS OF GOD. HAS GOD  ROARED LIKE A LION ANYWHERE? DO THE CHILDREN OF THE WEST TREMBLE? NOPE THEY DO NOT….NOT AT GOD THEY DO NOT TREMBLE! BUT THEY WILL AND  BE PLACED IN THE HOLY LAND AS WAS PROMISED THEM—- WHEN THE LORD JESUS RETURNS!

     God, in His chastising, will not fully and completely

destroy you Oh Israel. He will chastise enough for you to come to

your knees in humble REPENTANCE. In your affliction you will turn

back to serve God in spirit as well as in truth. He then will

deliver you from the lands of your enemies at the coming of the

Messiah Christ, and He will place you in your houses in the Holy

Land and in Jerusalem, as all the prophets proclaim and teach

(verse 11).

   

CHAPTER 12

     Ephraim Britain feeds on the "east" wind, the east wind

travels "west" - from Europe. Britain has looked to the EAST for

help! She has made a covenant with Germany/Assyria and she will

continue to do so. She has sided with the king of the North and

some kind of deal will be made with the king of the North and the

coming king of the South with Egypt at its head. It could well

have something to do with "oil" but the deal will hit a dead end

and the king of the South will "push at" (somehow) the king of

the North and the king of the North will come against the South

and win the battle. We have covered that prophecy in Daniel

11:40-45.

     The Lord has also a controversy with Judah. All of Jacob

Israel will be punished according to their ways (verses 1-2)

     A little history is reviewed (verses 3-5).

     There has been deceit and oppression used by Ephraim to

acquire her riches, and she has thought herself righteous with no

sin, in so doing. Not all that Britain did in building its Empire

was the smell of roses.

     God has used the prophets many many times to warn Ephraim

and Israel. A little more Jacob history is retold, as well as

reminding them that it was through a prophet - Moses - that God

brought Israel out of Egypt. It has been the nature of Ephraim

and Israel to provoke the Lord in sinning, so they will have

payment for their wickedness (verses 8-14).

     What we sow that we eventually will reap. If we sow sin and

iniquity then death is the final payment. It is a universal law,

all great nations of the past that sank into more and more sin,

finally ended in destruction. The classic example is the Roman

Empire. The famous work "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" by

Gibbon, makes that universal law a clear reality. Gibbon gives I

believe 5 basic sins that led Rome to its doom, not the least of

them was that the Roman society corrupted itself from WITHIN -

sin upon sin - blood upon blood - until the wickedness like a

cancer rotted the Empire, and then it was no match for the enemy

to swoop down and bring Rome and its Empire crashing to the

ground. 

     So it will be for Ephraim and all Israel - it is only a

matter of WHEN! And that "when" belongs to the Lord in His time.

CHAPTER 13

     When Ephraim Britain spoke with the humble fear of God in

the nations like in the days of the Second World War under

Winston Churchill, they were exalted in Israel, but when they

have now offended in secularism and pagan Baal practices, Britain

has signed the death sentence. But they sin the more and then

more, and have set up many idols in their heart and mind. They

will be as the morning cloud and the dew that passes away, as the

chaff driven by the whirlwind, and as the smoke out of the

chimney is blown away.

     At the same time God says, "Yet I am the Lord thy God from

the land of Egypt; and you shall know no god but Me, for I am

your true Savior, there is no Savior besides me" (verses 1-4).

     It is as it ever was, once you are filled and prosperous,

your heart was exalted in your own eyes; therefore you have

forsaken your God. And because it is so, God will be to you as a

lion: as a leopard stalking its prey. God will meet you as a bear

bereaved of her cubs; He will devour you like a lion; the wild

beasts shall tear you (verses 6-8).

     

     Listen Israel to the voice of your God, "O Israel, you have

destroyed yourself; BUT IN ME is your help" (verse 9).

     It is the Lord God who WILL be your KING. There is no other

who can save what will be left of you from your cities. God is

binding up your sins, He is not forgetting them. You will cry and

wail as a woman giving child-birth. YET, the power of the Lord

will rescue many from the grave; you will be redeemed from death

(we've seen that in Ezekiel 37).

"O death, I will be thy plague; O grave, I will be thy

destruction: changing my mind does not even enter my mind on this

promise" (14).

     Though Ephraim Britain is fruitful among his brethren, and

EAST wind with come, it is coming from the Lord. The east wind

from the Europe Babylon/Assyria, will come Westward and famine

and desert like conditions the Europe east wind will bring, all

the goodness shall dry up (verses 15).

     Samaria Israel shall BECOME DESOLATE; for she has REBELLED

AGAINST GOD; THEY SHALL FALL BY THE WORD;   

     

     Samaria shall become desolate because they have rebelled

against God; they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be

dashed in pieces; and their women will child shall be ripped up

(verses 16).

     There have been some horrid - terrible - violent things done

in the name of WAR! So sadly it will be again for Israel Samaria,

by the mighty hand of the end time European Babylon Beast.

CHAPTER 14

Healing for the Repentant

"RETURN, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for your sins have

brought you down. Bring your petitions, and return to the Lord,

say to Him, 'Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so

that we may offer you the sacrifice of praise. Assyria (Germany)

cannot save us, nor can our strength in battle. Never again will

we call the idols we have made [our gods]. No, in YOU alone do

the orphans find mercy" (verses 1-3).

     This September 2008 we have witnessed the greed and

corruption of the elite Wall Street banker investors CRASH to the

basement - their careless sins, while they roll in physical

riches (tens of millions of dollars in each of their pockets)

have been exposed in bankruptsy. The madness of poor government

and the sickening fact that it may be the average tax payer who

is to try and bail out the Wall Street debacle, to the tune of

700 BILLION DOLLARS and possibly ONE TRILLION DOLLARS, 

is white collar crime and iniquity that has until now been rampant in 

the United States of Samaria. Our sins WILL BRING US DOWN, AND 

NO NATION WILL STOP OUR FALL. Our lovers (that one day will 

be our nightmare enemies) that we have helped and loved, nations like

Germany, in Europe, will not be able to save us, they will not

desire to save us, nay God will even use them to punish us. But

if we will then REPENT and cry out to God, admitting our sins and

that none but He can save us, then the Lord says, "I will heal you 

of your idolatry and faithlessness, and my love will know no

bounds, for my anger will be gone forever. I will be to Israel

like a refreshing dew from heaven. It will blossom like the lily;

it will send roots deep into the soil like the cedars in Lebanon.

Its branches will spread out like those of beautiful olive trees,

as fragrant as the cedar forests of Lebanon. My people will

return again to the safety of their land. They will flourish like

grain and blossom like grapevines. They will be as fragrant as

the wines of Lebanon" (verses 4-7).

     This prophecy will come to pass but it is a prophecy for the

time beyond us; the time of the new age to come, when Israel and

Judah will have been punished in captivity and restored to the

Holy Land, where new righteous blossoming will begin, when Israel

will at last be the inspired Spirit filled children of God, and

will set the righteous example for all the nations of the earth

to want to emulate. That is why God chose the people of Israel in

the first place (Det.4). We have a few times in out long 3,000

plus years of history, been the right holy example, like under

the reign of king Solomon and a few others. Yet the time when

Israel will be the holy righteous example for ever, while

physical flesh in on this earth, will have to wait for the age

that is yet to come.

     In the prophecy of Hosea God wants Israel to NOT have to be

punished with destruction and captivity, so He gives a final cry:

"O Israel Ephraim, come out of idolatry! I am the one who looks

after you and cares for you. I am like a tree that is always

green, giving my fruit to you all through the year" (verse 8).

     If you would LISTEN. If you would TURN from SIN and

iniquity, the Israel, you would not have to go through this great

affliction like no other in history. God would be willing to then

work His plan on earth and into the new age, a DIFFERENT way!

Yes, He would! He has told you through the prophet Ezekiel that

He has NO PLEASURE in the death of the wicked, but if the wicked

acknowledge their wickedness and turn from it to righteousness,

then God will turn from the evil He thought to do to them - the

righteous would then LIVE in their righteousness.

"Let those who are WISE understand these things. Let those who

are DISCERNING listen carefully. The PATHS of the Lord are TRUE

and RIGHT, and RIGHTEOUS people live by WALKING in them. But

sinners STUMBLE and FALL along the way!" (verse 9).

     ARE YOU ONE OF THE WISE? YOU CAN BE! IT IS WRITTEN THE FEAR

OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM. IF YOU WILL FEAR IN DEEP HUMBLE RESPECT FOR THE PATHS OF THE LORD, IF YOU WILL HUNGER AND THIRST AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS, IF YOU WILL PROVE ALL THINGS AND HOLD FAST TO THAT WHICH IS GOOD, IF YOU WILL SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES TO PROVE WHAT IS SPOKEN ON THIS WEBSITE IS THE TRUTH OF THE WORD OF THE LORD, THEN YOU WILL BE FILLED WITH UNDERSTANDING.

     THE PROPHECY OF HOSEA WAS NOT JUST FOR HIS DAY, NOT JUST FOR ISRAEL OF OLD, BUT IT IS ALSO A PROPHECY FOR MODERN ISRAEL.
