GOD WILL DWELL WITH MAN
and
THE GOD OF COLOR AND BEAUTY
"And the word of the Lord came to Solomon, saying ... And I will
dwell among the children of Israel...." (1 Kings 6:11,13).
"I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place
for thee to abide in for ever" (1 Kings 8:13).
The Almighty Eternal God, who created everything in the
universe out of nothing. The ONE who set the Galaxies in motion,
who put our sun where it is in the Milky Way, the One who then
created the earth not in chaos but in glory and beauty, and set
it just the right distance from the sun. He who divided the land
from the seas, the One who created all life that is on the earth,
beneath the earth, above the earth in the skies, and in the depth
of the seas. The Eternal One who numbers all the billions of stars,
who calls them by name. The One who with the word of His mouth
controls and rules the expanse of the expanding universe.
This One who dwells in the splendor of the heavenly
Jerusalem, He is able and willing to come and dwell with man.
It was Solomon who was to build the "Temple of the Lord" and
he did. And to this earthly Temple the Eternal One came in a
cloud. He was willing to come to where man was dwelling.
We have seen in past studies that God can if He desires,
appear to man in the form of a man, to be seen of man, to walk
and talk with man, to eat a meal with him, to even enter a debate
with man, as He did with Abraham and Moses, to wrestle with man
as He did with Jacob.
Today it is the same. Jesus said that to serve the Father
and the Son of God, then BOTH the Father and the Son
would enter that person, would come and live WITHIN that
individual, via the Holy Spirit. It's all there in the wonderful
Gospel of John.
Those who will acknowledge their sins, who will admit they
are sinners, who will acknowledge the truths and righteousness of
God, who will REPENT and turn to FOLLOW and live by every word of
God, to them, the Father and the Son will come. Those who will
open the door of their hearts and mind, will have both the Father
and Son walk in and fellowship with them.
The Father created puny, little mankind to be His literal
children, to partake of His very nature, His very mind, and to
inherit His glory and majesty.
If you have not yet done so, you need to read my study
called "The Christian's Destiny." You need to learn and know the
mind-bending reason for why YOU are here. You need to understand
the very purpose for which you were created.
The Almighty Father WANTS to DWELL with His children. And
one day He will in a very literal sense. He has told you it is
so. Listen to what He says in Revelation 21:3-7.
"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, 'Behold the
tabernacle (tent of dwelling) of God is with men, AND HE WILL
DWELL WITH THEM, AND THEY SHALL BE HIS PEOPLE, AND GOD
HIMSELF SHALL BE WITH THEM, AND BE THEIR GOD. AND GOD
SHALL WIPE AWAY ALL TEARS FROM THEIR EYES; AND THERE
SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH, NEITHER SORROW, NOR CRYING,
NEITHER SHALL THERE BE ANY MORE PAIN: FOR THE FORMER
THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY.' AND HE THAT SAT UPON THE THRONE
SAID, 'I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END. I
WILL GIVE UNTO HIM THAT IS ATHIRST OF THE FOUNTAIN OF
WATER OF LIFE FREELY. HE THAT OVERCOMETH SHALL INHERIT
ALL THINGS; AND I WILL BE HIS GOD, AND HE SHALL BE MY
SON.'"
This is how much the Father LOVES YOU, yes YOU! He wants you
to be His very son. He wants to DWELL with you. If you will, He
and Christ Jesus, will make their abode in YOU, and so eventually
YOU can inherit eternal GLORY and live forever with the Father
and be a part of the very FAMILY of God!
GOD - THE LORD OF SPLENDOR AND COLOR!
Some people of yesterday and today think God can only see
and live in black and white. They think that "religion" of the
true God must be in black and white, drab, colorless, void of any
brightness of the universe. They form groups, pull away from
society, dress in black and white, have no color in their lives,
shut out all modern equipment. Somehow they believe looking and
living this way is more "godly" - somehow more like what they
consider a plain colorless God to be like. I'm not sure what they
do with passages of the Bible that show a God vastly different than
what their mind perceives Him to be. I honestly think they do not read
the Bible from cover to cover, and certainly do not allow their
children to read it all the way through. I would imagine they
curtail immediately any son or daughter who would question their
teaching as not being Biblical.
Here in 1 Kings we read about Solomon building the Temple
for God to dwell in. If you just read what is clearly stated in
chapter 6, you will find the House of the Lord was anything but
drab or colorless or black and white. It was overlaid with so
much gold and magnificent carving of cherubim, palm trees,
flowers, it should dazzle your mind.
This Temple that Solomon built ... well no Temple for God,
no Temple of any man for any so-called "god" was ever as SPLENDID
AND RICH with pure gold, as the Temple built by Solomon.
The picture of the heavenly Jerusalem coming down from God
to the new earth, as given in Revelation 21,22, is mind-blowing
for majesty and glory and color and pure riches.
If anyone will take the time to view the DVDs from the
"History Channel" of TV, their DVDs on the UNIVERSE series, they
will see the MIGHTY COLORFUL MAJESTIC GLORY of the created
universe by the Almighty God the Father and His Son Christ Jesus.
If anyone will take the time to just open their eyes and see
the colorful creation all around them, they will not be able to
say God is black and white, colorless. He is a God of COLOR!! He
is a God of MAJESTICNESS!! He is a God of PURITY such as gold,
silver, diamonds, pearls!! He is a God of VARIETY!!
Yes, Satan can corrupt anything. He can get people to
worship gold, diamonds, money, and all things good can be
perverted. God made the heavens and the earth of Genesis 1 and 2
in six days, and said what He had made was "good." Satan came
along and started to pervert in many different ways all things
created. It is Satan who perverts the mind of some into thinking
God is a God of black and white, a colorless God, a drab God.
You need to be set free from the ideas of men and Satan who
is behind them.
Look at the beautiful, varied, colorful creation around you,
come to KNOW this side of the Lord. Come to see Him as He is, not
as men think He is. Read ALL of His word. Know that He wants to
DWELL with you. He wants to be your God and for you to be His
very child!
