OUR DAILY BREAD #31

Our Daily Bread #31

Do not Stop!

                            WHERE'S THE LEASH?

Read: Micah 6:1-8

What does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love
mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? - Micah 6:8

Recently, while out for Chinese food with fiends, I noticed
a man walking his dog past the restaurant. Normally I wouldn't
have looked twice. But the dog's owner had taken the leash, put
it in a figure-eight configuration, and placed it firmly in the
dog's mouth.
My friends explained that it's against the law in their town
to walk a dog without a leash. This clever dog owner had found a
loophole - the law didn't stipulate that you actually have to
hold the leash! The amazing part is not the loophole, but that
the dog was walking in obedient step with his owner, even
though he could have bolted away to chase a nearby squirrel.
Our walk with God needs to be like that. While God in His
mercy gives us a long leash and rarely gives us spiritual
whiplash by yanking on it, He doesn't delight in the struggle to
keep us in line. He delights when we walk in a surrendered way
with Him.
When Israel whined to the prophet Micah about how hard they
thought it was to please God, He replied with a straightforward,
simple way to please Him. Being just and loving mercy while we
walk humbly with Him brings God great pleasure (Mic.6:8). You'll
know He is pleased when He doesn't have to hold your leash
anymore. - Joe Stowell

All to Jesus I surrender, All to Him I freely give; I will ever
love and trust Him, In His presence daily live. - Van de Venter

                              FAMILY STORIES

Read: Joshua 4:1-9

These stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel
forever. - Joshua 4:7

In her book "The Shelter of Each Other," Mary Pipher gives
advice on rebuilding troubled families. She explores how today's
children sometimes overuse TV and video games to the exclusion of
informal instruction received from extended family.
She gives an example of a family reunion where the
youngsters are given a video to watch in the back room so the
adults can talk undisturbed. Dr.Pipher believes this diversion
actually deprives kids. Children need to mix with the older
generation so they can hear the stories of aunts, uncles,
grandparents, and parents. This helps them learn from those who
have gone before them.
The Old Testament places a high value on children being
taught their spiritual heritage. After God parted the waters of
the Jordan River, Joshua was instructed to take 12 stones from
the river to create a memorial for future generations. "When your
children ask... 'What do these stones mean to you?' then you
shall answer them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off....
"And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of
Israel forever" (Josh.4:6-7).
We need spiritual interaction between generations. Remember,
Bible stories are often family stories. And our children need
them and us. - Dennis Fisher

Oh, may all who come behind us find us faithful; May the fire of
our devotion light their way; May the footprints that we leave
lead them to believe, And the lives we live inspire them to obey.

                               DYING TO LIVE

Read: Matthew 16:21-28

Whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses
his life for My sake will find it. - Matthew 16:25

Western Michigan is plagued by snowy winters, requiring that
salt be put on road surfaces to make them safer to travel. The
problem is that salt eats away at a car's metal body. So, going
to a car wash is a frequent winter ritual.
Recently I was sitting in a car-wash facility near the end
of the washing process when the machines began to spray a special
liquid all over the car. The sign said it was a "drying agent,"
but that struck me as odd. Wetting something down to dry it seems
conteary to what you'd expect. Yet that is precisely what those
chemicals are designed to do. It is counter-intuitive thinking--a
paradox.
Jesus also dealt in counter-intuitive thinking when
presenting His kingdom message to His followers. In Matthew
16:25, He said, "Whoever desires to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." That
doesn't sound right. To save your life, you have to lose it? That
seems like saying, "To dry something, you wet it down!" Yet, it
is absolutely true. Only as we die to self, entrusting ownership
of our lives to Christ, can we learn what it means to really
live.
"Dying to live" may seem counter-intuitive, but it is the
heart of the Christian experience. - Bill Crowder

TO LIVE FOR CHRIST, WE MUST LEARN TO DIE TO SELF.

                           PROFITABLE FOR GROWTH

Read: 2 Timothy 3:10-16

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. - 2 Timothy 3:16

Which of the following quotes are in the Bible?

1. Cleanliness is next to godliness.
2. God helps those who help themselves.
3. Confession is good for the soul.
4. Man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
5. Money is the root of all evil,.
6. Honesty is the best policy.

Believe it or not, only one of those quotes is found in the
Bible. The fourth one is from Job 5:7.

George Muller, a pastor and orphanage director in the 1800s,
wouldn't have had trouble knowing which of those quotes were from
the Bible. Why? Because he read through it more than 100 times!
He said: "I look upon it as a lost day when I have not had a
good time over the Word of God ... I have always made it a rule
never to begin work until I have had a good season with God and
His Word. The blessing I have received has been wonderful."

We don't need to feel guilty if we don't read the Bible as
much as Muller did. But consider with me reading it through at
least once this coming year - not so that we can answer some
trick questions about it, but because it was given to us by God
and is profitable for our spiritual growth (2 Tim. 3:16-17). -
Anne Cetas

                                RESOLUTIONS

Read: Nehemiah 10:28-31

{They} entered into ... an oath to walk in God's Law, ... and to
observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord. -
Nehemiah 10:29

In 1722, Jonathan Edwards drew up a list of 70 resolutions,
dedicating himself to live in harmony with God and others. The
following resolutions give a picture of the serious purpose with
which Edwards approached his relationship with God. He resolved:

* To do whatever is most to God's glory.

* To do my duty, for the good of mankind in general.

* Never to do anything, which I should be afraid to do, if it
were the last hour of my life.

* To study the Scriptures steadily, constantly, and frequently.

* To ask myself at the end of every day, week, month, and year if
I could possibly have done better.

* Until I die, not to act as if I were my own, but entirely and
altogether God's.

In Nehemiah 10, God's people made an oath, vowing to follow
all the commands, laws, and regulations of the Lord. This oath
was so serious that they were willing to accept the curse of God
if they failed to keep these commands.

Our resolutions need not be so serious as that. But any
resolution to follow God is not a casual promise. Rather, it is a
solemn and serious declaration that - with the help of the Holy
Spirit - we can renew every day. - Marvin Williams

My Resolutions This Year Are: (You fill in the bank)

Act on your resolutions!

                           WHAT WILL YOU WRITE?

Read: Psalm 90

You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life?
It is even a vapor that appears for a time and then vanishes
away. - James 4:14

In January 2006, a mine explosion in rural West Viginia
threatened the lives of 13 coal miners. Having grown up in that
state, I was among the millions riveted to the news for the next
few days. Tragically, all but one of the miners were found dead.
To compound the pain of that loss, the first reports given
to the families said that all but one had been found alive. When
the grim news of the deaths came, the grief was compounded with
anger and a desire to blame someone for the whole gut-wrenching
event.
At one of the funerals, however, Pastor Wease Day asked the
hurting to look in a different direction--within. During their
last hours, some of the miners had written notes to their
families, in some cases offering comfort and hope, In light of
that, Pastor Day urged his congregation not to seek to fix blame.
He instead challenged them to imagine what they would write in a
farewell note if they had only hours to live.

In some ways we are like those miners. We are trapped in a
dark world and are facing physical death. How we live our lives
as followers of Christ becomes our "note" to the world. James
wrote that life is "a vapor that appears for a little time and
then vanishes away" (4:14). By God's grace, what will you write
with your life today? - Bill Crowder

                            LORD, I'M EXCITED!

Read: Psalm 119:17-24

Open my eyes, that I may see wonderous things from Your Law. -
Psalm 119:18

People use Our Daily Bread in many different ways. Small
groups have informed me that they meet before work to read the
online devotional on their laptops. Families read it together at
a meat. Others reach for it on a break of during a quiet moment
of the day.
A letter from one reader inspired me with her approach each
morning: "As I open 'Our Daily Bread' I tell God that I am
excited about what His Word is going to teach me. Then I read the
Scripture (if it's short, I include all the surrounding context),
and I meditate (on it) and write what it is saying to me before I
read what God gave the writer .... Since I am indexing my
journal, both Scripture and topics, as I go along, I can refer
back to pertinent topics at any time. I love it."

What impressed me is her enthusiasm for the Word and the
anticipation of what the Lord has for her in the Bible. She
echoes the psalmist's prayer, "Open my eyes, that I may see
wondrous things from Your law" (Ps.119:18).

A writer's thoughts are no substitute for the powerful Word
of God. It's the onty place to find spiritual nourishment and
strength for each day. And that's exciting! - David McCasland

BEASTS OF DANIEL AND REVELATION #1

The Beasts of Daniel and Revelation #1

How it all fits together

                                                       by

                                                Keith Hunt

KNOW THIS FIRST! "...THAT NO PROPHECY OF THE SCRIPTURE IS OF ANY
PRIVATE INTERPRETATION." 2 Peter 1:20.

ALL BIBLICAL SYMBOLS MUST BE INTERPRETED BY THE BIBLE - GOD GAVE
THE SYMBOLS ONLY HE CAN TELL US WHAT THEY MEAN.

THE GREAT IMAGE

Dan. 2:31,38
Head of Gold - Breast of Silver - Belly of Brass - Legs of Iron

v. 38
God tells us what this means - Nebuchadnezzar (v.28) and the
Babylonian empire is the head of gold.

v. 39.
Three more kingdoms to arise who would rule the earth--there have
only been four world ruling powers in history: 1. Babylon
2. Persia 3. Greece 4. Rome.

v. 41
The fourth kingdom was divided (two legs) - the Roman empire was
divided between Rome and Constantinople. See your history books.

v. 34
A STONE was cut out "without hand" (no human power) and smote the
image on its FEET and it was gone forever.

v. 35
The stone becomes a mountain and fills the WHOLE EARTH.
STONE - MOUNTAIN - EARTH? Can we put it together? Christ is
referred to as a stone (Mt.21:42,44, Eph.2:20, Acts 4:10, 11).
Mountain - God's house, His kingdom is referred to as a mountain.
(Jn.14:1-3, Isa.2:1-4).
Filling the earth--upon Christ's return God's kingdom will be
established on this earth.
(Mic.4:1-4; Isa.11; Zach.14).

v. 42
Also gives us the answer to v. 34, 35.

v. 44
The stone (Christ) smashes the feet and toes and then the God of
heaven sets up a kingdom.
There are ten toes on a pair of feet - Christ smashes the
TOES - plural - not toe, or last toe or tenth toe. He smashes the
FEET NOT FOOT (v.34). The toes represent kings (v.42 with 44).
In the days of THESE (plural) KINGS (plural), more than one, God
sets up his kingdom.
These kingdoms or kings of ten are all existing at the same
time - they are not (consecutive) one after the other, but
simultaneous, one with, alongside the other.
Christ smashes them--all at the same time.

Does God give us another scripture to prove this? Yes!
Rev.17:12-14
Ten kings unite to fight the LAMB; Christ is referred to as the
Lamb (Jn.1:29), He overcomes them.
Rev.19:11-21
Also describes this same time and event.
The toes on the feet of Daniel's image are the ten
kings - horns - of John's beast of Revelation 17.

Dan. 7:1-7 DANIEL'S FOUR BEASTS

v. 4
Like a LION with eagles wings.
v. 5
Like a BEAR - three ribs in its mouth.
v. 6
Like a LEOPARD - with four heads.
v. 7
Fourth beast - INDESCRIBABLE - very terrible. God interprets for
us.
v. 17
These beasts are four kings - they represent four kings.
v. 23
The fourth beast IS the FOURTH KINGDOM upon earth to rule the
earth. King and kingdom then are used interchangeably.
What does history tell us?

There have been ONLY FOUR world ruling empires! BABYLON (625-538
B.C.). A man's heart given it - Nebuchadnezzar was converted to
God (Dan.4:28-37). PERSIA (558-330 B.G.). Three ribs in its mouth
- it came to power by conquering three empires, Media, Lidia,
Babylon.
GREECE (333-330 B.C.). Four heads - the great king of this
empire, Alexander only reigned a few years and died. His empire
was divided into FOUR PARTS by four of his generals.
ROME (46 B.C.-476 A.D.approx.). It truly was strong with iron
teeth - it ruled and conquered and stamped under foot more people
and lands than the other three empires.

Dan. 7:7-8, DANIEL'S FOURTH BEAST TEN HORNS - AND LITTLE HORN

v. 7
The fourth beast was ROME as we have seen. Notice! IT the fourth
beast had ten horns.
v. 8
A LITTLE HORN comes up - notice AMONG them (among the ten horns),
yes, ALONGSIDE the ten horns.
v. 9
The expanse of TIME that the TOTAL HORNS endure
for (the ten horns and little horn) is until the ANCIENT OF DAY
DID SIT (cross ref. this with Rev. 1:13-18; 20:4, Dan.7:13-14;
Ps.90:2; 104:2), Christ sitting on His throne ruling this earth
(Lk.1:31-32; Zech.14:1-9; Rev.3:21; 2:26-27; Dan.7:13-14).
The horns represent kings or kingdoms - see Dan.8:20,21.
Ten kingdoms were to arise OUT OF the fourth beast and another
kingdom ALONGSIDE them - from the rising to fall was to last
until Christ returns to reign as king (see also v.20-22).

There is no history that states Rome was divided into ten pieces
upon its collapse, and the area of the old empire has NOT been
ruled by ten nations from its original fall until now. THESE ten
kingdoms are NOT SIMULTANEOUS BUT CONSECUTIVE. God makes it plain
in v.8.

Notice! It says three of the FIRST horns. If there is a first -
it is number one- second is number two- third is number three, etc:
If we say the FIRST THREE runners in a race have pulled out, we
mean runners number one, two and three, not runners seven, eight
and nine.
If the FIRST THREE HORNS are plucked up then there is a fourth,
fifth, sixth, etc. IN THAT ORDER.

Does history show us that there were three consecutive powers
that arose to bring down and at that same time continue the Roman
rule? Yes indeed!

"In 378 THE VISIGOTHS, angered by the oppression of imperial
governors, raised the standard of revolt. They overwhelmed a
Roman army at Adrianople and then marched westward into Italy.
In 410 under Alaric they captured and plundered Rome, later
moving on into southern Gaul." Western Civilization p.261 "In 455
ROME WAS SACKED BY THE VANDALS ... other Germanic nations also
made their way into Italy, and before the end of the fifth
century the Roman empire in the west had passed completely under
the domination of the Barbarians." Western Civilization p.261
"But in 493 ITALY WAS CONQUERED BY THE OSTROGOTHS under
Theodoric....until nearly the end of his reign of thirty-three
years, Theodoric gave Italy a more enlightened rule than the
country had known under many of the caesars...not until 552 was
the power of the Ostrogoths finally broken." Western Civilization
p.263.

The Lombards then held most of the peninsula under the rule of
semi-independent dukes until the late 8th century. Western
Civilization p.263.

Rome it would seem had finally been wounded to death. THREE HORNS
(kingdoms) had come and gone by 552 A.D. There are still SEVEN
HORNS left, and they must extend over a period of time that ENDS
when Christ returns.

The LITTLE HORN - WHO IS IT?

Here is what Daniel tells us about it:

1. It comes up AMONG or ALONGSIDE the other ten horns. It is in
existence at the same time as all the other horns, v.8.
2. It plucks up the first three horns- indicating that it does
not come to great power and influence until AFTER 552 A. (After
the Visigoths, Vandals and Ostrogoths had fallen.), v. 8.
3. It is likened to a MAN who speaks great things - indicating
that it has a man as a spokesman for itself, v. 8.
4. It continues until Christ returns, v. 9.
5. It comes out of the fourth beast (Rome), v. 7,8. So it is part
of and exists in the geographic area of the original Roman
Empire. It is Roman.
6. It makes war with or against the saints of God, v. 21,25.
7. It speaks against the most high (God) - it is blasphemous,
   v.25.
8. It changes - it thinks "to change the times (of sacred feasts
and holy days) and the law..." Amplified Bible.
9. It continues in power and might for one specific length of
time, 1,260 years. (cross ref. v.25 with Rev.12:6,14 and Ezek.
   4:3-5), v.25.
10. It is a horn - so it is a government - kingdom type empire,

v. 8 What in all history from Rome till now and beyond (for it must
exist at Christ's return) could answer to all of those ten
points. It must be something so large and powerful as to
be unmistakable in the history books. There HAS BEEN and IS only
ONE such power - THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH!!!

1. The Catholic Church itself and the Pope claims direct descent
from Peter (the apostle of Christ). It was therefore in existence
alongside the horns of v.8. It was already in existence before
the Visigoths, Vandals and Ostrogoths took power of Rome. See a
History of Christianity book.
2. The Catholic Church did not come to GREAT power and influence
until AFTER 552 A.D. after the first three horns had fallen.
3. It has a man - namely the Pope as its spokesman- he is the
voice of the Church - he claims to be God's representative on
earth- he claims infallibility at times.
4. The Catholic Church is still with us today with no sign of
dying out.
5. It is called Roman - its capital is Rome - the same city that
was the capital of the old pagan empire - it is living in the
same geographical location of the original Roman empire.
6. What Church or power has directly ordered or sanctioned other
people to death for being followers of Christ MORE THAN the
Catholic Church. See your history books.
7. The Priests are called "FATHER" Christ said nobody was to be
called in religious titles FATHER. It is God's name ONLY,
(Mt.23:9.). Doing so is speaking against the most high.
8. The Roman Church has done MORE than anyone to CHANGE the
seasons - it introduced CHRISTMAS, EASTER, ALL SOULS DAY
(HALLOWEEN), THE NEW YEAR, the present calendar we use, and many
other saints days - all derived from PAGANISM not God.
It changed the LAW of God - namely the fourth point of the law -
it changed it from the SEVENTH to the FIRST DAY.
See a book called "Christian Feasts and Customs" by Francis
Weiser at your library - it will open your eyes as to the
paganism in our Christianity.

9. From 554 A.D. to 1814 A.D. the Catholic Church had its biggest
"field day" as they say today. It ruled with great power, might
and prestige. From the fall of the Ostrogoths to the fall of the
Napoleon empire was 1,260 years.

10. The Roman Catholic Church is a government - it has offices,
ambassadors, representatives in all nations- it is not only
ecclesiastical in power it is also political in power-ruling and
guiding and influencing many a nation on this earth. The Roman
Catholic Church has been in EXISTENCE and ALONGSIDE the rise and
fall of each of these consecutive ten horns of the fourth beast
of Daniel 7.

The REMAINING SEVEN HORNS of Daniel chapter 7 tie in directly
with the first beast of Revelation chapters 13 and 17. The LITTLE
HORN of Daniel chapter 7 ties in directly with the second beast
of Revelation chapter 13.

FIRST BEAST OF REVELATION 13

v. 1
A beast rises out of the sea- Daniel sees his beasts rise out of
the sea (Dan.7:3.) These two chapters (Rev.13 and Dan.7) are
IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED.
v.2.
John sees one beast - like a leopard, bear and lion - the SAME
ANIMALS that Daniel saw in chap.7:3-6. Again this is too similar
not to be connected. One beast comprising the strongest part of
each of Daniel's beasts.
The dragon - Rev.12:3,9 - is Satan - this Beast is Satan's tool.
This one beast has seven heads and ten horns, (v. 1).
v. 3
We will come back to this later.
v. 4 This beast is a great war machine - the greatest war power
ever known.
Notice Dan.7:7 the fourth beast- dreadful and terrible - strong
exceedingly - iron teeth - devoured much. Dan.7:23- it devoured
the whole earth.
v. 5,6
This beast of Rev.13 also speaks great things and blasphemies
(comp. to Dan 7:8,25). In Daniel chapter 7 the fourth beast
speaks great things and words against God AFTER three horns were
plucked up - when only seven horns remained. This beast of John
also continues for 42 months- 1,260 days or years (God's month
only has 30 days or 360 days a year) (see Dan.7:25). AFTER three
horns were destroyed, Dan. 7:24,25.
v. 7
John's beast makes war with the saints - so does Daniel's. Dan
7:19-25. The similarities between John's beast (first one, and
Daniel's fourth beast) is striking.

It should be plain.

The beast that John sees coming up out of the sea IS the fourth
beast that Daniel sees coming out of the sea.
The Roman Empire swallowed up the empires of Babylon, Persia and
Greece - many of the pagan practices and customs or Rome can be
traced right back to Babylon, the first world empire.
John's beast is that of the Roman Empire mixed with the most
powerful aspects of the other three previous empires.
Daniel's fourth beast continues for 1,260 years after the first,
three horns are gone- when SEVEN HORNS were left.
John's beast continues 42 months or 1,260 years (a day for a year
Ezek.4:4) with seven heads and another ten horns.
Put it together:

Daniel's LAST SEVEN HORNS of the ROMAN EMPIRE are the SEVEN HEADS
of John's beast.

v. 3
ONE HEAD WOUNDED TO DEATH - the original head of Rome was finally
put to death (so it seemed to the world) in 476 A.D. (as the
history books give the date, which is only approximately) with
the fall of the third horn - the Ostrogoths, IT WAS HEALED - Rome
was resurrected, by Justinian in 554 A.D. and continued for 1,260
years (42 months) until 1814 A.D., the end of Napoleon's reign.
v.1

John's beast has ten horns (kingdoms) ten crowns (kings) -
compare this to Daniel 2:34,41-44. The iron part of Daniel's
image was the ROMAN EMPIRE - the ten toes are TOGETHER when
Christ destroys them at His return. Compare this with
Rev.17:12-14 - ten kings (kingdoms - crowns - horns) fight Christ
at return.

The ten horns or crowns of John's first beast of Rev.13 are the
ten nations, kings of Rev.17:12 and the ten toes of Daniel's
image.

John's beast of Rev.13 is the CIVIL part of the RESURRECTED ROMAN
EMPIRE AFTER 554 A.D. It is the last seven horns of Daniel's
fourth beast of Dan.7 and the FINAL ten kingdoms to join forces
to fight Christ upon His return.

Remember, John is MAINLY seeing the CIVIL-MILITARY power of the
continuing Roman empire in this first beast.
Notice v.4, who can make WAR with HIM- the Church of Rome never
went to war directly - the Church did not have an army of
soldiers- THIS BEAST DOES.
v. 7
The beast - the civil military power was the one to DO the
KILLING of true Christians- not the Church - it only sanctioned
it.
v. 8
Worship the beast - yes, many of the civil military rulers of
Rome were worshipped as gods by the people - the whole empire WAS and
WILL BE looked upon by the people as DIVINE- God's instrument in
dealing with mankind.

JOHN'S SECOND BEAST OF REVELATION 13

v. 11
Two horns (a two fold government - Dan. 8:20-22). It LOOKS LIKE a
lamb (chap.14:1; Jn.1:29; Zech.14:3,4).
It looks like Christ, a representative of Christ, but it speaks
the things of a DRAGON (Rev.12:3,9). It is really a tool of Satan
the Devil.
v. 12
This beast causes all to worship the first beast - the Roman
Empire and its rulers were worshipped as gods.
v. 13
This beast does GREAT WONDERS - Christ said in Mt.24:24 that JUST
BEFORE His coming "...false Christ's and FALSE PROPHETS..." would
arise "...and shew great signs and WONDERS..." Notice the similar
language used.
This beast can make fire come down from heaven - he can PERFORM
MIRACLES.
Notice Rev.16:13, three unclean spirits go out of the DRAGON
(Satan chap.12:3,9), the BEAST (we'll see this later) and the
FALSE PROPHET; v.14 these spirits are demons - working MIRACLES.
In 2 Thes.2:3-9, Paul describes an INDIVIDUAL - a single person
called "...THAT MAN of sin...so that HE as God (claiming he IS or
he is GOD'S REPRESENTATIVE) sitteth in the temple of God..." v. 9
this individual comes "...after the working of Satan with all
POWER and SIGNS and lying WONDERS."

John sees what Paul saw, in I Jn. 2:18. He tells us there must
come ONE supreme ANTI-CHRIST in the last days, before the return
of Christ. So we have Christ's statement in Mt.24:24 of MANY false prophets
doing SIGNS and WONDERS narrowed down to ONE supreme individual -
the man of sin as Paul calls him in 2.Thes.2 - the ANTI-CHRIST as
John calls him in I Jn. 2:18 - and a FALSE PROPHET as John calls
him in Rev.16:13,14.

v. 14
Let's let God nail it down for us - let's let the Bible interpret
itself.
Notice! This beast deceives people "...by the means of those
MIRACLES which he had power to do IN THE SIGHT OF THE BAST..."
Now, compare this with Rev.19:20, "and the beast was taken and
with him the FALSE PROPHET that wrought MIRACLE BEFORE HIM..."
And it goes on to say this false prophet DECEIVED people by those
MIRAGES - deceived those who received the MARK OF THE BEAST and
them who WORSHIPPED HIS IMAGE. The BEAST of Rev.13:11 also says
to those whom he deceives that they should make an IMAGE to the
beast and WORSHIP IT or be killed (v.14,15) AND he causes all to
receive a MARK OF THE BEAST (v.16,17).
The false prophet of Rev.19:20 is destroyed at Christ's return -
see v.11-20.
Paul's MAN OF SIN is also destroyed by Christ at His coming - 2
Thes,2:8.
Oh! Can we see! The beast of Rev.13:11, IS the FALSE PROPHET of
Rev.16:13,14 and Rev.19:20.
He is the SUPREME FALSE PROPHET of Christ's statement in
Mt.24:24.
He is the MAN OF SIN in 2 Thes.2.
He is the ANTI-CHRIST of John in I Jn.2:18.

What about the IMAGE and TWO HORNS. We must answer these now.
IMAGE- the Greek is "ikone" (a likeness, i.e. literally, statute,
profile, or figuratively, representation, resemblance. Strong's
Con.). Christ was the image of God (2 Cor.4:4), the same Greek
word is used.
This second beast says to the world there should be an IMAGE, a
LIKENESS, a RESEMBLANCE made to the beast which was wounded by a
sword and yet lived, that is to the first beast of Rev.13 - see
v. 3.
The first beast is the CIVIL MILITARY ROMAN EMPIRE after 554 A.D.
and up to the return of Christ.
The image must also have existed from 554 A.D.
To create a LIKENESS it must come from the original.
What in history comes from- has its origin in - is patterned
after the ROMAN EMPIRE - and is LARGE enough to engulf the world.
And to make, force people to worship it or be killed (v.15)?
Why,only the Church that comes from the SAME CITY as the old
empire - that calls itself by the SAME NAME - the Church that is
UNIVERSAL - that RULED with the civil military power over the
same geographical area - the Church that during the Middle Ages
FORCED people to be killed if they did not worship its way.
That Church - that likeness of the civil power beast - is the
ROMAN CATHOLIC (universal - that's what Catholic means)
CHURCH.

THE TWO HORNS - TWOFOLD GOVERNMENT

Many do not realize that the Roman Catholic Church has a twofold
Governmental system.
It is both ECCLESIASTICAL and CIVIL.
The Roman Church has a religious order from its Pope, Cardinals,
Bishops down to its Priests - it has a Church government. But it
also has a civil political organization - the Vatican city is a
state unto itself. The Church of Rome partakes with the
governments of this world. Christ said His followers would come
out of this world (Jn.17:14,16; Rom.12:2). It has offices and
embassies in countries around the world, much like civil nations
of this world have. Its form of Church organization comes from
the civil Roman empire, (see The Two Babylon by Hislop and
Babylon Mystery Religion by Woodrow).

It is more than significant that on certain occasions the Pope
wears a TWO HORNED MITRE.
The following is from the book Babylon Mystery Religion, p. 87.

"The mitre is seen in the accompanying sketch of Pope Paul
(I have not included any pictures in this study)as he delivered
his sermon on "peace" during his historic visit to the United
States in 1965. (The photo on page 92 also shows the Pope wearing
a highly decorated mitre of the same shape.)
As the noted writer Hislop puts it concerning the Papal mitre:
"...the two horned mitre, which the Pope wears when he sits on
the high altar at Rome and receives the adoration of the
Cardinals is the very mitre worn by Dagon, the fish-god, of the
Philistines and Babylonians."

REVELATION - THE WOMAN WHORE

From the ALBERT BARNES BIBLE COMMENTARY

CHAPTER, XVII

This chapter properly commences a more detailed description of the judgment inflicted on the formidable Anti-christian power referred to in the last chapter, though under a new image.

It contains an account of the sequel of the pouring out of the last vial, and the description, in various forms, continues to the close of ch. xix. The whole of this description (ch. xvii.-xix.) constitutes the last great catastrophe represented under the seventh vial (ch. xvi. 77-21), at the close of which the great enemy of God and the church will be destroyed, and the church will be triumphant, ch. xix. 17-2L. The image in this chapter is that of a harlot, or abandoned woman, on whom severe judgment is brought for her sins. The action is here decided, and this chapter has much the appearance of an explanation episode, designed to give a more clear and definite idea of the character of that formidable Anti-christian power on which the judgment was to descend.

The chapter, without any formal division, embraces the following points:--

(1) Introduction, ver. 1-3- One of the seven angels entrusted with the seven vials comes to John, saying that he would describe to him the judgment that was to come upon the great -harlot with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and who had made the dwellers upon the earth drunk by the wine of her fornication - that is, of that Anti-christian power so often referred to in this book. which by its influence had deluded the nations, and brought their rulers under its control.

(2) A particular description of this Anti-christian power - represented as an abandoned and attractive female, in the usual attire of an harlot, ver. 3-6. She is seated on a scarlet-coloured beast, covered over with blasphemous names - a beast with seven heads and ten horns. She is arrayed in the usual gorgeous and alluring attire of a harlot, clothed in purple, decked with gold,  and precious stones, and pearls, with a golden cup in her hand full with abominations and filthiness. She has on her forehead a name expressive of her character, She is represented as drunken with the blood of the saints, and is such as to attract attention and excite wonder.

(3) An explanation of what is meant by this scarlet-clothed woman, and of the design of the representation, ver. 7-18. This comprises several parts:——

(a) A promise of the angel that he would explain this, ver. 7.

(b) An enigmatical or symbolical representation of the design of the vision, ver. 8-14.

This description consists of an account of the beast on which the woman sat, ver. 8; of the seven heads of the beast, as representing seven mountains, ver. 9; of the succcssion of kings or dynasties represented, ver. 9-11; of the ten horns as representing ten kings or kingdoms giving their power and strength to the beast, ver. 12, 13; and of the conflict or warfare of al1 these confederated or consolidated powers with the Lamb, and their discomfiture by him, ver. 1.4.

(c) A more literal statement of what is meant by this. ver. 15-18. The waters on which the harlot sat represent a multitude of people subject to her control, ver. 15. The ten horns, or the ten kingdoms  on the beast, would ultimately hate the harlot, and destroy her, as if they should eat her flesh, and consume her with fire, ver. 16. This would be done because God would put it into their hearts to fulfil his purposes, alike in givng their kingdom to the beast, and then turning against it to destroy it, ver. 17. The woman referred to is at last declared to be the great city which reigned over tire kings of the earth, ver. 18. For particularity and definiteness, this is one of the most remarkable chapters in the book, and there can be no doubt that it was the design in it to give such an explanation of what was referred to in these visions, that there could be no mistake in applying the description.

"All that remains between this and the twentieth chapter" says Andrew Fuller  "would in modern publications be called  notes of illustration. No new subject is introduced, but mere enlargement  on what has been announced” (Works, vi,. 205).

l. And there come one of the seven which had the seven vials. See Notes on ch. xv. 1, 7. Reference is again made to these angels in the same manner in ch. xxi,9, where one of them says that he would show to John "the bride, the Lamb's wife." No particular one is specified  The general idea seems to be that to those seven angels was entrusted the execution of the last things, or the winding up of affairs introductory to the reign of God, and that the communications respecting those last events were properly made through them. It is clearly quite immaterial by which of these it is done. The expression "which had the seven vials," would seem to imply that though they had emptied the vials in the manner stated in the previous chapter, they still retained them in their hands.  And talked with me. And spoke with me. The word talk would imply a more protracted conversation than occurred here. Come hither “Here, thither— this is a word merely calling attention, as we should say now, “Here” - It does not imply John was to leave the place where he was. I will show you. Partly by symbols, and partly by express statements. For this is the way in which, in fact, he showed him. The judgment. The condemnation and calamity that will come upon her. Of the great whore. It is not uncommon in the Scriptures to express a city under the image of a woman - a pure and holy city under the image of a virgin or chaste female; a corrupt and idolatrous , and wicked city under under the image of an abandoned or lewd woman. See notes on Isa. 1: 21. “How is the beautiful city become an harlot?”Comp. notes on Isa. 1: 8. In verse l8 of this chapter it is expressly said that "this woman is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth" - that is, as I suppose, Papal Rome; and the design here is to represent it as resembling an abandoned female - fit representative of an apostic, corrupt, unfaithful church. (Comp. Notes on ch. ix. 21. That sits upon many waters. An image drawn from either Babylon, situated on the Euphrates, and encompassed by the many artificial rivers which had been made to irrigate the country, or Rome, situated on the Tiber. In verse 15, these waters are said to represent the peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues, over which the government symbolized by the woman ruled. See notes on that verse. Water are often used to symbolized nations.

2. Over which the kings of the earth have committed fornication. Spiritual adultery. The meaning is, that Papal Rome. Unfaithful to God, and idolatrous and corrupt had seduced the rulers of the earth, and led them into the same kind of unfaithfulness, idolatry, and corruption. Comp. Her. 3: 8, 9; 5:7; 8: 27; 23: 14; Eze. 16: 32q; 23: 37; Hot. 2: 2; 4: 2. How true this is in history need not be stated. All the princes and kings of Europe in the dark ages, and for many centuries were, and not a few of them are now, entirely under the influence of Papal Rome. And the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk by the wine of her fornication. The alluring cup which, as a harlot, she had extended to them. See this image explained in Notes chap. 14: 8. There it is said that Babylon  - referring to the same thing - had “made them drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication”; that is, of the cup that led to wrath or punishment. Here it is said that the harlot had made them drunk “drunk with the wine of her fornication” - that is, they had been, as it were, intoxicated by the alluring cup held out to them. What could better describe the influence of Rome on the people of the world, in making them, under these delusions, incapable of sober judgment., and in completely fascinating and controlling all their powers.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF KEITH MALCOLM HUNT #20

 THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF

KEITH MALCOLM HUNT

The  year  2000  and  2005  were  years  of  great  importance  to  me.  I  had  a  number  of  years  in  my  life  that  were  special  to  me.

The  year  I  was  7  was  super  important.  It  was  the  year  my  Dad  sent  me  to  a  Church  of  England  School—— Holy  Trinity.  The  first  day  was  like  it  was  yesterday  in  my  mind.  That  first  class  we  were  given  a  KJV  Bible.  The  lady  teacher  told  us  to  open  to  the  first  page;  she  began  to  read—— “In  the  beginning  God  created  the  heavens  and  the  earth…..”

It  was  like  a  light  switch  was  turned  on—— I  had  the  answer  to  all  the  marvellous,  and  wonderful,  things  I  could  see  around  me—— the  vegetation,  the  animals,  the  birds,  the  insects,  all  so  wonderful,  now  I  knew  who  made  it  all—— a  being  so  mighty  in  power  and  a  mind  that  humans  cannot  grasp  in  their  wildest  dreams  or  imaginations.

It  was  the  year  I  believed  in  a  being  called  in  English  “God.”

It  was  the  year  also  that  a  neighbour  girl  invited  me  to  a  church  just  down  the  road,  and  its  Sunday  School.  It  was  the  year  I  started  to  learn  about  Jesus  the  Christ.

It  was  all  so  thrilling  and  exiting!

It  was  the  year  my  parents  took  me  to  see  my  first  Roy  Rogers  movie,  in  colour—— my  eyes  just  about  fell  out  of  my  head—— a  fancy  dressed  cowboy  riding  full  gallop  of  this  golden  horse,  with  its  mane  and  tail  flowing  in  the  wind.

Wow…. It  was  so  captivating,  I  knew  at  once  what  my  life  was  to  be,  in  the  future,  when  I  grew  up—- I  was  to  be  the  next  Roy  Rogers!

I  was  as  sure  about  this  as  I  was  about  God  and  Jesus—— in  fact  I  believed  God  was  telling  me  what  my  vocation  in  life  was  to  be.  I  had  no  idea  God  would  allow  me  to  “go  west”  and  think  I  was  going  to  be  the  next  Roy  Rogers.  But  in  so  doing  the  Father  was  leading  me  into  a  life  I  never  thought  about,  for  to  me,  for  all  those  years  of  growing  up,  nothing  was  more  sure  in  my  mind,  than  being  the  next  Roy  Rogers.

The  next  big  event  was  to  have  to  memorize  in  school,  the  10  Commandments,  as  given  in  Exodus  20  of  the  KJV  Bible.  I  eagerly  set  about  to  memorize  every  single  word  of  the  10  Commandments.  And  looking  at  them  I  thought,  “Wow….if  only  the  whole  world  was  obeying  them,  what  a  fantastic  world  it  would  be.”

Then  at  10  years  old,  an  event  that  I  would  always  remember,  but  not  in  the  mind-set  of  the  reality  of  truth,  but  actually  as  falsehood.  It  was  the  Sunday  school  class  where  this  kid  next  to  me  said,  “My  Dad  has  told  me  Sunday  is  not  the  7th  day  of  the  week,  but  the  first  day,  and  Saturday  is  the  7th  day.”  I  laughed  at  him,  and  replied,  ‘That  just  cannot  be  true  for  Christians  and  Christian  churches  observe  Sunday,  so  Sunday  must  be  the  7th  day   of  the  week,  for  the  4th  Commandments  says  we  are  to  observe  the  7th  day  of  the  week.”  The  Sunday  school  teacher  quickly  interrupted  us,  and  was  on  to  his  teaching  for  the  class.  I  left  church  that  day  still  100  percent  certain  Sunday  was  the  7th  day  of  the  week.  For  I  said  to  myself,  “All  of  Christianity  cannot  be  wrong— we  are  to  observe  the  4th  Commandment,  and  that  commandment  says  we  are  to  observe  the  7th  day  as  the  weekly  Sabbath.”  The  whole  issue  was  put  out  of  my  mind,  until  it  hit  me  between  the  eyes,  when  coming  to  Canada,  and  my  Baptist  landlord  told  me  the  same  thing—— I  just  about  fell  over,  and  instantly  remembered  that  day  in  Sunday  school  when  I  was  10  years  old.

Another  huge  happening  was  when  I  read  in  the  New  Testament  Jesus  said  He  would  return  to  earth  again,  sometime,  but  return  He  would.  That  was  a  wonderful  revelation  to  me.  I  was  about  age  12—— I  said  it  out-loud  to  my  pal  in  church,  and  got  this  strange  look  from  an  adult—— the  local  church  I  was  attending  did  not  teach  or  believe  in  the  “second  coming  of  Christ  to  earth.”

Another  important  happening  took  place  when  I  was  14;  a  lady  in  church,  knowing  my  very  faithful  attendance  in  Sunday-school  and  now  in  attending  the  main  service  at  11 am.  She  gave  me  a  red-letter  New  Testament—— the  words  of  Jesus  in  red.  That  was  one  treasured  gift  she  gave  me;  I  would  read  some  of  the  words  of  Jesus  every  night  before  falling  asleep.  So  by  the  time  I  came  to  Canada,  I  had  read  the  four  gospels  over  and  over.  And  the  words  of  Jesus  in  the  book  of  Revelation.  My  foundation  in  the  New  Testament  was  deep  and  strong,  by  the  words  of  Christ  Himself.  I  thought  how  can  the  foundation  of  true  Christianity  be  stronger  than  by  what  Jesus  preached  and  taught.  And  of  course  it  also  showed  Jesus  observing  and  teaching  the  4th  Commandment— the  weekly  Sabbath  day.

Naturally  the  day  I  set  sail  for  Canada,  and  Saskatoon,  Saskatchewan,  was  also  a  mighty  big  day  in  my  life.  I  was  now  over  age  18,  an  adult,  and  I  was  finally  off  to  start  my  training  to  be  the  next  Roy  Rogers.

It  was  important  for  me,  in  God’s  plan  for  me,  to  hear  on  the  radio  in  Saskatoon,  the  religious  broadcast  of  the  Radio  Church  of  God.  I  was  listening  to  all  religious  radio  broadcasts,  but  the  Radio  Church  of  God—— it  was  different  in  some  ways,  and  caught  my  attention  more  than  other  religious  broadcasts.

Then  a  smashing  year  was  when  I  was  20  years  old.  Smashing  in  dumfounding  me.  It  was  the  time  my  Baptist  landlord  told  me  Sunday  was  the  first  day  of  the  week.  The  incident  brought  back  that  lad  in  Sunday-school  when  I  was  10,  telling  me  his  Dad  had  told  him  that  Sunday  was  the  first  day  of  the  week.  I  went  to  the  public  library,  and  a  Roman  Catholic  book  called  “Christian  Feasts  and  Customs”  told  me  the  same  thing—- Sunday  is  not  the  7th  day  of  the  week.  I  was  in  a  daze—- how  could  all  Christianity  I  had  ever  known  be  WRONG!

BUT  THE  MASSES  OF  CHRISTIANITY  WERE  WRONG!  I  WAS  AS  SURE  ABOUT  THAT  AS  I  WAS  SURE  GOD  EXISTED!

Another  important  time  came  when  I  discovered  the  Radio  Church  of  God,  taught,  and  observed  the  7th  day  Sabbath.

Now  it  was  time,  an  important  time,  when  God  had  opened  the  book  up  on  me  shall  I  say;  He  and  His  word  of  truth,  became  more  important  to  me  that  my  childhood  dream  of  being  the  next  Roy  Rogers.  I  now  saw  it  was  not  to  be,  in  fact  it  had  never  been  for  me;  God  the  Father  had  had  other  plans  for  me,  which  would  indeed  mean  I  was  to  come  out  West,  to  run  smack  into  what  was  really,  from  way  back  as  a  kid,  God’s  work  for  me  in  this  life  on  earth.

That  was  a  mighty  massive  work  now  set  before  me;  studying  the  Bible  in  the  deepest  way  I  could.  I  did  have  help  from  the  Radio  Church  of  God;  they  taught  me  many  truths  I  had  never  seen;  it  was  a  fresh  start  on  my  journey  through  the  Bible.  But  even  then  I  had  no  idea  of  what  would  lie  ahead  with  the  Radio  Church  of  God,  and  its  final  downfall  as  it   turned  itself  into  a  “cult”—— worshipping  the  organization  and  finally  the  man  who  would  claim  he  was  “God’s  end-time  Apostle”  with  tens  of  thousands  believing  it.

So  this  leads  to  another  mile-stone—— the   final  year  of  breaking  away  in  1972,  with  the  WORLDWIDE  [Radio]  Church  of  God;  going  into  a  kind  of  7  year  desert,  till  1979.

Circumstances  once  more  changed;   God  was  still  working  with  me,  and  with  the  Radio  Church  of  God—— it  had  faltered,  was  going  off  the  straight  and  narrow  path  of  truth  and  righteousness.  There  was  a  large  split,  and  some  smaller  splits;  all  taking  ministers  with  them.  Yes  there  were  many  small  break-away  groups,  But  the  largest  at  the  time  was  the  son  of  the  “apostle”  GETTING  KICKED  OUT!  And  he  immediately  started  up  his  own  work,  radio  and  TV  broadcasts;  it  was  now  time  for  TV  evangelists.  And  this  “son”  was  already  pretty  famous  as  he  did  their  radio  broadcast.

This  “son”  being  kicked  out  and  starting  his  own  “church  work”  was  an  important  event—  my  7  years  in  the  wilderness,  was  over!

It  was  another  mile-stone  to  move  into.  There  was  no  “voices”  or  fire  coming  down  from   heaven.  There  was  this  powerful  force  within  me  to  get  fully  into  doing  what  I  could  for  God  and  Christ,  and  all  the  confused  people  there  must  be  out  there,  somewhere,  from  the  membership  of  the  Worldwide [Radio]  Church  of  God,  and  all  the  ones  near  and  far  that  needed  to  hear  about  salvation  and  the  age  to  come.

I  was  living  in   Oshawa,  Ontario—- and  put  some  religious  study  message  in  the  local  paper— I  did  it  to  see  what  response  I  might  get. This  was  1980.  I  did  not  have  to  wait  long  for  positive…. well  could  be positive  results.

Within  a  few  months  I  was  leading  a  Sabbath  Bible  study.  Actually  people  who  had  had  contact  with  the  Radio  Church  of  God,  with  their  literature  and  magazine,  but  never  became  members.  This  then  led  me  to  baptizing  some,  and  then  a  weekly  church  service,  and  regular  weekly  religious  messages  in  the  local  Oshawa  paper.  And  through  various  happenings  and  people  contacting  me,  I  also  found  I  was  pastoring  a  group  of  people  twice  a  month  in  Rochester,  New  York  state.

These  were  exiting  times  for  me;  events  large  and  leading  to  another  very  important  time  in  my  life.  The  meeting  of  Fred  Coulter  and  the  Biblical  Church  of  God.  I  have  already  related  it—— the  end  result  being  ordained  to  the  ministry  of  Jesus  Christ,  at  the  Feast  of  Tabernacles  in  1982—- I  was  40  years  old.

The  next  large  and  significant  event  in  my  life  brings  us  to  the  winter  of  1998/99.  I  met  the  man  in  a  church  service  who  would  do  a  first  draft  on  my  website.  Yes  the  personal  computer  was  now  becoming  the  way  to  communicate,  and  to  teach.  I  was  off  into  the  website  world  with  enthusiasm  and  gusto.

My  name  and  work  in  the  7th  day  Sabbath  observing  churches  was  now  reaching  around  the  world.

And  this  brings  us  to  the  year  2000.

I  have  to  back  up  a  little—— during  the  1950s  in  the  Radio  Church  of  God,  a  man  by  the  name  of  Basil  Wolverton  became  a  member.  He  was  famous—- he  was  a  talented comic-strip  artist,  but  had  the  talent  to  draw  black  and  white  serious  drawings.  He  started  to  do  episodes  of  the  story  flow  in  the  Old  Testament,  illustrated  with  his  drawings  of  certain  events, i.e.  a  drawing  of  Noah’s  Ark  being  built,  and  on  the  waters  of  the  flood.  I  believe  he  managed  to  live  to  the  near  end  of  his  Old  Testament  Bible  Story;  if  my  memory  is  correct,  someone  else  had to  finish  his  work— well  it  did  get  finished.  I  believe  it  was  about  5  volumes,  which  church  members  could  obtain.

One  day  an  email  came  through  to  me,  from  persons  who  at  one  time  had  connections  with  the  Radio  Church  of  God.  They  were  desirous  to  have  a  person  write  a  New  Testament  Bible  Story  on  the  harmonized  four  Gospels,  but  written  for  children;  easy  modern  English  that  children  could  read.

I  told  them  I  believed  I  could  do  it,  and  would  be  happy  to  give  it  a  try.  They  were  delighted  that  I  offered  to  undertake  the  work.

Writing  on  teachable  things,  especially  teachings  from  the  Bible,  has  to  have  one  important  ingredient—— easy  communication.  Fancy  words  and  confluted  prose  is  not  going  to  reach  but  the  PhD  theology  folk.  Just  a  reading  of  the  four  Gospels  say  as  in  the  NewKJV  will  show  you,  Jesus  did  not  use  fancy  language,  but  on  the  contrary— simple  to  understand  words.

I  was  to  go  one  step  further,  put  it  in  the  English  language  that  children  can  read  and  understand.

The  “introduction”  to  the  series  came  out  in  November  2000.

I  went  from  there  as  they  say.  I  did  not  take  any  particular  note  of  when  I  did  the  sections,  only  mentioning  when  a  particular  chapter  was  finished.

There  was  no  dead-line;  I  worked  at  it  as  I  was  inspired,  sometimes  more,  sometimes  less.

By  the  time  I  had  reached  near  the  end,  the  man  I  was  sending  all  the  chapters  to,  for  his  checking  of  spelling  and  punctuation  errors,  was  impressed  enough  to  ask  me  to  continue  on  with  the  whole  New  Testament—- so  it  would  then  be  in  essence,  a  New  Testament  Bible  Story  Commentary.

I  had  been  busy  for  years  studying  and  writing  Bible  articles  on  various  topics,  uploading  them  to  my  website;  also  uploading  other  writer’s  studies  I  found  was  the  truth  of  the  matter  on  that  topical  issue.  It  had  never  crossed  my  mind  to  do  a  New  Testament  Commentary. Now  I  had  been  requested  to  do  so.

I  have  a  number  of  Bible  Commentaries  in  my  home  library— Albert  Barnes,  Matthew  Henry,  Adam  Clarke,  and  others.  For  a  New  Testament  Commentary  I  believe  Albert  Barnes  is  the  most  detailed.  I  was  not  going  to  try  to  be  anywhere  close  to  his  detailed  work;  why  try  to  re-invent  the  wheel  as  they  say.  But  Albert  Barnes  was  a  Protestant  and  so  he  did  not  have  the  truth  on  all  passages  of  the  New  Testament.  So  my  work  would  correct  the  errors  of  Barnes  and  others  like  him.

So  it  was——  a  large  effort  of  many  years  for  me  to  undertake  a  commentary  on  the  entire  New  Testament.  And  it  would  take  [not  taking  note  of  it  until  I  finished]  a  full  7  years  to  complete.

That  was  the  important  event  that  came  my  way  in  the  year  2000.  A  spiritual  work.

But  around  the  same  time,  well  some  years  later,  2002/3  my  physical  life  would  change  in  a  way  I  never  thought  would  happen  again,  which  led  to  a  wonderful  event  in  the  year  of  2005.

That’s  for  next  time.
