Our Troubled Earth!!

OUR TROUBLED EARTH

BY HOLLY MILLS

"For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in paim together until now" (Romans 8:22)
A look at any newspaper headline or TV newscast today has numerous stories of disasters affecting our earth. We have fires, floods, droughts, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, typhoons and hurricanes. There are wars, pestilences and famines everywhere. We indeed live on a troubled earth. Jesus warned us of these times immediately proceeding His return. `For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (Matt. 24:7). 1 find it ironic that when so many of these disasters happen we blame God! Of course we never blame ourselves! These disasters may be judgment from God or the natural result of our disobedience to God and His laws. Whichever it is, in the end we are to blame, not God.

God is the ruler of the earth and will not allow anything to happen that He does not want.

"The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof, the world, and they that dwell therein." (Psa. 24:1) He can change the direction of a storm in a second if that is His will. He is allowing or causing these things to happen to get our attention so that we will repent. We are making a horrible mess of this world by not obeying God's laws and He is trying to warn us.

God gave man dominion over the earth to manage it and to take care of it, not to exploit and destroy it, which is what we are doing today. In Deut. 20: 19&20 and Deut. 22: 4&6 God shows us how we are to manage our trees, cattle and wildlife, but we have abandoned these laws saying that they do not apply anymore and we know better. We are now seeing the consequences of our disobedience. We are losing our fish, timber and wildlife. "Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel. for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away. Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another. for thy people are as they that strive with the priest." (Hos. 4:1-4). "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. " (Hos. 4:6). We have forgotten our God and exploited and abused all the wonderful things that He has given us, therefore our children and all the earth is suffering for our sin.

We have allowed big business and the multinationalists to buy and manage our precious resources. They are only concerned with profits and don't care about our lands, the lands that God gave us to use and to take care of, not to give away. We may now still live in these lands but we do not really own them.
Pollution is causing havoc on the earth and many health related illnesses are due to this. We have a rising world population, global change, disappearing rainforests, which produce most of our oxygen, etc. Our earth is in a crisis that no man can fix and unless our Lord returns soon we are doomed. Most Christians today, who should know better, are completely unaware of how bad the situation is. They go about their weekly religious lives without putting any thought into what is really happening to our earth. If they do comment at all, they say "Oh these things have all happened before. It doesn't mean anything." They are so caught up in their own lives and troubles that they do not see it or at least don't want to see what is happening. Throughout all of the tragedies befalling us I have not heard anyone say we must ask for God's forgiveness of our sins. They want God to help them but they don't want to do their part in the relationship. What will it take to humble us? I guess only time will tell, but it is coming soon. Things are rapidly getting worse.

Our Lord is coming soon to destroy those who are destroying His creation. I find the following verses very comforting.

"Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water. in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reed and rushes. And an highway shall be there, and a way and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee
away." (Isa. 35:4-10).

Writer's Note: After selecting this article for publication, I started to reflect on Jeremiah 30:15, "Why criest thou for thine affliction? Thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee."

Then I thought, "It is interesting at this time how people are starting to cry out and complain about all the trouble they are finding themselves in and yet they refuse to acknowledge the source of their affliction. Unfortunately, though, unless we repent and turn away from our wicked sins our affliction and our sorrow will continue to increase. "For thus saith the Lord, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous. There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased." (Jer. 30:12-14).

The Lord is judging our earth. We must make ourselves ready. "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after." (Jer.30:17).
..........

In one prophecy we are told "Do not pray for this people" - God will not listen. We have probably reached that point. We have stepped over the line of no return. There is no one to bring back our people of the West and the East to REPENTANCE and serving the Eternal in spirit and in truth. What has been written in the prophets will needs come to pass. It is the only way the nations of this earth will come to realize God does exist and the only answer for the woes of this world, is to obey the commandments of the Lord, and to deeply REPENT of sin and follow the way of righteousness. Righteousness is Ps. 119:172. But you as an individual can know God and His Son Christ Jesus. You can know them, and find salvation, and the right way to live that leads to eternal life in the very Kingdom of God. All about God and Christ and Salvation and the Kingdom is expounded for you on my website - keithhunt.com

Mad dog G(M)adhafi last stand

It looks very near the end for the Libya dictator Madghafi - about time. If he's wise he'll flee (maybe already has done) otherwise he can stand and fall in a hail of gun-fire. One more less dictator in the world.

The Syrian leader should be next, and Arab prophecy marches on. A "king of the south" (Daniel 11:40-45) is to eventually come in the Arab world, that will "push at" the mighty "king of the north" - the Europe Beast union. But time for all that could be 10 or more years away, depends how fast God the Father wants it all to come to pass. But it will surely come to pass, has to come to pass before Jesus can return. You have been told, so watch the Middle East. When it comes to pass know that God sent his servants to warn you. And then you'll also know who speaks the truth of the Lord, and I can tell you right now it ain't the fundamental Christian prophets. They do not obey the commandments of God so they cannot have understanding of Bible prophecy, for the Psalms says, "...a good understanding have they which DO HIS Commandments..." (Ps. 111:7-10).

Yes it's just that simple. And the book of 1 John is just that simple in teaching also.

Those who will not teach the 4th commandment (look it up in Exodus 20) are not serving the true Eternal God; He's not guiding them in understanding Bible prophecy.

Creeds of Faith?

GOOD FOR THE SOUL

Throughout church history, Christians have found it necessary to
develop statements that clarify essential biblical teachings,
distinguishing the true gospel from distortions of it. These
statements are called creeds, from the Latin credo, meaning "I
believe."

Historically, however, CoG7 has grown up skeptical of such
creeds. But the fact that we have a creed (Statement of Faith) of
our own should alert us to the reality that historical
confessions of faith are not inherently opposed to "the Bible
alone."

Creeds and confessions are not to be equated with Scripture; they
merely outline its content. Among other purposes, they "show a
coherent and unified understanding of the whole scope of
Scripture," quoting a noted theologian. In other words, they
testify to the intelligible and systematic nature of God's
written revelation, refuting common notions that the Bible
doesn't make sense.

From this perspective, these documents take on new meaning. I do
not subscribe to the theological content of all creeds. For
example, parts of the Nicene Creed are doctrinally incongruent
with CoG7 beliefs. But generally I find in most creeds much with
which I agree, much by which I'm inspired.

Some creeds were sealed with blood, beginning with "Jesus is
Lord," the earliest semblance of a confessional statement among
first century Christians. By denying Caesar's lordship, the creed
earned Rome's persecution - even death - which many gladly
accepted. The authors of the Belgic Confession vowed to "offer
their backs to stripes, their tongues to knives, their mouths to
gags, and their whole bodies to the fire," rather than deny the
truth of the gospel.

Creedal statements, such as the Apostles' Creed, provide a
concise summary of essential New Testament teachings.
Confessional documents, such as the Westminster Confession of
Faith, serve to distinguish between Roman Catholic teachings and
Reformation tenets. Catechisms, such as the Shorter Catechism,
are designed to "educate laypeople in matters of doctrine and
discipline." From the Greek "katecheo," meaning "to sound aloud,"
catechism describes how faith principles are orally communicated
to a younger generation. They are written in simple
questionand-answer format to facilitate memorization, thus
encouraging the pursuit of holiness through prayer, study of
God's Word, and personal spiritual discipline.

Additionally, these historic documents reflect a high view of the
law, which may come as a surprise to some. They emphasize the
importance of the Ten Commandments, including the sanctity of the
Sabbath - a whole day set apart for rest and worship, though the
fourth command is applied differently.

To summarize, "Confession is good for the soul" and so are creeds
and confessional documents. We would do well to think outside the
box of our aversion to them. Every church espouses some creed,
confession, or statement of faith. Therefore, cynicism of
confessional documents reflects misunderstanding more than fact.
Contrary to the belief that these documents disarm the Bible of
its authority, they actually affirm it.

So don't throw the baby out with the bathwater; don't be
confessionally challenged. The Heidelberg Catechism begins:
"Q. What is your only comfort in life and in death?" The answer:
"That I, with body and soul, both in life and in death, am not my
own, but belong to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ...."
"I believe" that, and confessing it does my soul good.

I grew up in a Church of England School, all 12 grades.
That Church of England (or Anglican as some know it as) had a creed.
I had to recite it with other children many times. I do remmeber at one point
talking about the Son of God, it ended by saying, "...who will come again in power and glory."

Even the Roman Catholic church has some creed that states Jesus will return.

So many creeds of faith have much truth in them, even if the majority of that church
does not expound that truth in any large way, such as the truth that Jesus will again
one day return to this earth in power and glory.

Recession OVER!!

They have been trying to tell you the recession of 2008 was over sometime in 2009.  That has been a crock of hog-wash and silly goo-bidy-goo stuff they have tried over and over to no avail. The USA has been down-graded to credit AAplus from AAA. the USA has still over 9 percent unemployment - millions still out of work. Britain is not much better, with race tensions and young people going on the rampage. Europe has its sick economical countries having to be bailed out of bankruptcy. Spain desperately trying all it can to also not have to be bailed out. You have a sick USA and a sick Europe (iron mixed with clay - Daniel 2).

Gold is the choice of investors right now - its price shooting sky-high like a rocket to the moon.

Yes it's all been a bunch of hot-air and cow-dung that they have been trying to fill you with that we have supposedly been out of recession since 2009.

In the West it's only been Canada that did not go into a full recession and is still looking pretty darn good compared to the rest of the West. Canada had laws in place to control the greedy and corrupt and dishonest guys on Wall Street and in the banks, but the USA mentality was/is "freedom, freedom, and more freedom" so the dishonest and greedy can be more dishonest and greedy. God says in His word that true freedom comes through LAW!! Good and righteous LAWS make it possible to have true freedom.

In the age to come, the laws of God shall go forth from Jerusalem and the word of the Lord from Zion. The earth shall be covered with the knowledge of the almighty God as the waters cover the sea beds.

And in that age nations will NOT learn war anymore. There will be no more civil wars, or fighting among nations. There will be no more race tensions. There will be no more "the rich get richer while the poor get poorer" in our lands. There will be righteous justice for everyone. There will be one law for all. There will be no buying your way out of the laws effect. There will be no mad-dog dictators like as in Libya and Syria and other nations. There will be no more killings between the Jews and the Palestinians.
There will be no more religious fanatics like the Taliban and others.

Yes there is coming an age to come. You need to read about it, learn about it. It's all explained in detail in many many studies on my website - keithhunt.com

The Beautiful but SAD Marilyn Monroe

I've just finished reading the new block-buster book "The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe" by J. Randy Taraborrelli. It's a New York Times bestseller. Published 2009.

"Groundbreaking... More books about Monroe will no doubt be written, but it is against this one that all others will be measured." - King Features Weekly Service.

It is indeed a block-buster, that goes behind the scenes of this kind, sweet, loving, but mixed up and mentally tormented young lady, who from her childhood had an emotional life of pain and upsets that as they say, "you would not wish upon your worst enemy."

Marilyn never knew God or Christ Jesus as her Savior. Maybe that was her saddest part of her life, for if she had, she could have found her way out of her mental torments, her sometimes reckless life, her pain and suffering, the wrong people in her life, the curse of wrong Hollywood guys who wanted to use only her outward beauty for their advantage.

She really did have talent, much more than many wanted to use. She had a desire to do Shakespeare roles. What she had to endure ..... well this book brings it out in no uncertain terms. And some of the people in her life, including President JFK and the Kennedy folk ..... the book also exposes in blunt form.

The life of Marilyn Monroe (her real name being Norma Jeane) shows the truth of human nature - a mixture of good and sin. Oh my we are all sinners, some of us greater sinners than Marilyn was, but hopefully most of us have goodness also. Marilyn had much goodness, I mean not an air of goodness, but real down to earth goodness, just a nice caring, loving, giving goodness that most of the world never knew about, for most of the world never knew about the secret life of Marilyn Monroe.

Reading through the book I sometimes wished I'd been born 20 years earlier, maybe I could have helped and saved this beautiful lady (great physical beauty but also so much inner beauty) from the sadness of her life and how she finally ended it all at age 36.

The author of the book met and quotes Dean Martin at a favorite Italian restaurant he often frequented:

Quote:

After a week of visits to the restaurant without seeing him, he finally showed up on the night of June 23. I watched as he ate alone in a corner, seeming very sad and alone. When he finished I approached and asked if I might interview him. After some banter back and forth about us both being Italian-Americans, he agreed to be interviewed the next night. I returned and true to his word, he gave me an interview. To be candid it was somewhat odd and disjointed affair. He was himself - a little drunk, a little ill, and very much on the decline. That said, it was quite a thrill for me to have even a few hours with Mr. Martin, and he certainly did have his very amusing moments. I have used some of his comments about Marilyn Monroe and 'Something's got to Give' in this book.  "At the time, I was a little pissed off at her," he told me when discussing her many absences during the filming of that movie. "The only other person who ever kept me waiting that much was Sinatra. I hated waiting. Still do. But now, looking back on it, I get it about Marilyn. She was a sweet kid who probably would have been better off marrying a nobody from the suburbs and then living happily ever after with a bunch of kids. Maybe she was just too real, too honest to be in this business."

End Quote

Well certainly Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra knew about having troubled lives, too much drink, and messing up, as Taraborrelli said Dino seemed sad and alone, disjointed and very much on the decline.
But I think Dino could well have been right about Marilyn......a sweet kid who probably would have been better off marrying a nobody from the suburbs, living happily ever after with lots of kids, just too honest and too real to be in show-business.

Those who did manage to keep it all together and be world famous usually had strong beliefs in something higher than Hollywood. Two of the greatest entertainers of the 20th century - Roy Rogers and Dale Evens were Christians. One of the greatest world-famous singers of the 20th century - Slim Whitman, is (not yet dead as of August 2011) a Christian.

Well one day, in the "Great White Throne Judgment" of Revelation 20 (the study is on my website) Marilyn will will rise and she will be set free from her mental torment and all the sadness she endured from childhood. And because of her simple honesty and her down to earth goodness in her heart ... oh she'll make it into God's Kingdom as easy as pie. I'll look forward to seeing and helping you then Marilyn.

"THE HELP" - a Great movie!!

Based on one of the most talked about books in recent years and a #1 New York best seller list.

I was raised in a church of England school (grade 1 through 12) and attended Sunday School at my local neighborhood church till I left for Canada at age 18, in 1961.

I grew up then knowing God made all people and all races, and so all were equal in that sense, and certainly there should be no race discrimination. I knew just about nothing of USA history except they broke away from Britain some centuries ago. I did not know anything about the USA in the 1950s as a teenager, except many rock n' roll singers, Elivis, Slim Whitman, and Connie Francis, came from the USA, and of course I was a mighty great fan of Roy Rogers and Trigger. We had many of the popular weekly USA half hour shows on British TV, like "I Love Lucy" - "Gun Smoke" - "Bonanza" - and etc.
But USA history of the 1950s I knew nothing.

After coming to Canada in 1961, I was too busy with horses and my life in the West, to pay much attention to USA news or life in general in the USA. Of course I new about the assassination of JFK and
Martin Luther King, and the Vietnam war, but I really did not pay very much attention to anything in the USA. I knew nothing much about the race issue in the USA. In fact it was a decade or more later that I began to learn about the USA race issue in the USA during the 1950s and 1960s. I was shocked to find out the history of slavery in the USA and though the blacks had been free for centuries, the race factor was shocking terrible right into the middle of the 20th century, especially in parts of the deep south of the USA.

I had no idea as a young man just how bad it was and how even "religion" had a part in it all, by people
who mistakingly thought they were on God's side and figured the Bible also taught them to look at the blacks in a way far from the way I had read the Bible and thought of the blacks.

The recent movie based on the book "The Help" though a fiction book, it most assuredly based upon real facts of the racism in the USA during the 1960s.

The movie is a shocking tale of reality as it was in parts of the USA in the middle 20th century. It should be required seeing in all High Schools in the USA, and come to think about it, probably the whole world. It is a sobering, funny at times, courageous, and inspiring movie. I give it two thumbs up and 5 star rating.

YOU NEED TO SEE IT!! Yes you and your whole family, children over 8 should be able to follow it and see the lessons and hardness of some and love from others. Such as the race issue was in the USA during the first half of the 20th century is painful to have to recall and admit, but true history must forever
remember the wrongs, so we can right them, and move along to never repeat them.

I was taken by many of the great acting parts of the ladies in this movie. Emma Stone, the young lady playing Skeeter......her eyes reminded me of one of my favorites.....Glynis Johns when she was young. Emma Stone has the same eyes with the correct shape of the eyebrows (like Glynis) to match the eyes, hence beautiful eyes like the young Glynis had.

So put this movie on your list to make sure you see it, and tell others about it, so they will see it.

Among the bad there's the GOOD!

London and England had their riots this past week - gangs of youths because of many factors, race and ethnic culture being one of them - went on the smashing, burning, looting rampage. With all the money and job troubles of Europe I'm surprised it did not come earlier. One reason why it all blew up on the streets is that only about 3 percent of the British attend church on a regular basis. Hence Britain is a very very secular country, and has youth problems like you can hardly imagine. Put just about no Christian religion with job and money and race problems and you are going to get eventually, what London and England got this last week.

So.....they have sent for the Police chief of the USA who was responsible for getting crime and killings way down in New York, Boston, and Los Angels. Britain hopes he can figure out their youth and race problems also. As they say time will tell.

Then with all this bad, and the bad that continues in Syria, Libya, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and wherever else, you have this young girl in the USA that last week was introduced on ABC TV news as wanting a wish for her 9th birthday - to raise $300 dollars to give 15 people clean drinking water. She was well on her way to in raising that $300 when she was killed in a car accident. After ABC news gave the news out about her wish, well ....... people just started to donate in her name.......and you talk about a wish coming true......tonight Saturday August 13th, people have donated OVER ONE MILLION DOLLARS. Yes in good ol' money trouble, out of work trouble USA. My now what one little girl was able to do for her 9th birthday wish.

Is she going to be shocked and full of beaming smiles when she is resurrected in the Great White Throne Judgment day of Revelation 20.

Oh some of you may need to go study my study called "The Great White Throne Judgment Day" and "Called and Chosen - When?" on my website (keithhunt.com).

Helicopter Down/USA America Down

So history is made - the USA credit rating down a peg to AAplus instead of AAA. It certainly is a marker for the USA, and could they say effect many things from mortgage rates, to interest on your plastic money, to cars, and could have an effect on jobs, as if that area needs another hit.

Now the USA believe it or not has a lower rating than .... the Isle of Man, yes so the ABC news said this evening.

To try and say the USA was or is out of the recession of 2008 is still a nutty idea that they have been trying to fool the USA people with for a year or more.

Europe also has its money problems, with some countries also on the verge of financial bankruptcy, and China that holds most of the USA debt loans gave the USA a tongue lashing, and they have a lower rated number than AAplus....ah well words are cheap as they say.

Certainly interesting times as Bible prophecy marches on to the end of this age of man, and the coming age to come.
..........

The Taliban in Afghanistan is still showing it is alive and well, as it blows out of the air a massive USA helicopter killing 30 USA soldiers and 8  Afgans and a special trained dog. 22 of the 30 USA killed were from the elite "special forces 6" Seals, the guys that got Bin Laden a month or so ago. ABC news showed the training these fellows go through over two years, 75% of the Seals never make it to the Seal 6 group, who then have years more training, so the elite of the elite. They are trained to hold their breath under water for 2 minutes with no air bubbles. They are trained in ways that make Olympic athletes look like kindergarten kids.  But all that said and done, trained in super human ways of the body and the mind, the fact we all should remember is that they are still human flesh and blood, that a blown up fiery crashed helicopter will kill you, as it has just done for 22 elite Seal 6 and others.

I've said many times over the last 10 years, and will say it again, there can never be victory over hide and seek, hit and run, Taliban soldiers that know how to live in the desert hills, and fight a war that they have fought many times with others, including a 10 year war with the mighty Soviet Russia who finally gave up and went home. Let's use common sense, all the Taliban have to do is wait, basically patiently, for the USA and other allies to pull out of Afghanistan as they have said they will do, and ... bingo, they are back in full business with their mad-dog fanatic religion and mind-set.

It was correct to beef up, very well beef up, home security after 9/11.....that was and is only common sense, but I said when Bush and Blair boys took off to war in Iraq and Afghanistan, it was a silly and stupid mistake, based upon not only false "science fiction data" (weapons of mass destruction), but also false anger of vanity and pride, to go off and try and fight hit and run soldiers that had stood the test of time and war against the other great power in the world - the Soviet Union. The USA is also finding out that killing Bin Laden is not the answer either, there are probably dozens more to take his place, in fact some inspired to take his place after his death by the USA.

Hand to hand combat (for Seal 6 guys) is one thing, you know like the James Bond movies, or Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible, or Roy Rogers and Trigger going after the bad guys and always winning, but BOMBS still blow up and kill the specially trained people as easy as you and I or special trained dogs like Rin-Tin-Tin, or Lassie.

USA, Britain, Canada, and others, you were foolish and unwise to go to the enemy land and try and fight hit-and-run and ambush, and suicide, and road bombers, and hand rocket launchers from the hills.

When will we ever learn, it seems we do not, but make the same mistake over and over again, we just do not get history and its lessons, hence we keep killing and injuring our youth, and spending trillions of dollars along the way.

What a glorious day it will be when God's Kingdom is on this earth and the prophecy finally arrives when nations will learn war no more. Until then it is as Jesus said, "Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword."
