Spiritual BLINDNESS from God!
Taken away when He decides!

We have TWO very clear verses in Deuteronomy, and they come clearer as we put them together, as to the mental state of the children of Israel and also the state of affairs as how God was working with the Israel en mass. "O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever" (deut.5:29). "Yet the Lord has not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day" (Deut.29:4). If you read Numbers 11 you will see that the Holy Spirit was not given but to a relatively FEW. Moses wished ALL had God's Spirit, but the truth of the matter is that MOST did not have it. As the apostle Paul would later put it, it is only the election of grace that would have the Spirit and be called and chosen to receive salvation, while the rest were BLINDED to spiritual truth (Romans 9 through 11). NAVE'S TOPICAL BIBLE will give you all the important verses in the Bible on SPIRITUAL blindness. There are MANY of them!! It is a subject that God WANTS you to UNDERSTAND! He has written about it many many times in His Word. It is a basic fundamental teaching of the mind of God, and of the plan of salvation the Lord is undertaking on this earth with physical mankind. You will see by reading the verses I present to you that God has spiritually BLINDED MOST, THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE ON EARTH. IN FACT EVERY PERSON ON EARTH IS SPIRITUALLY BLINDED ***UNTIL*** GOD DECIDES, CALLS, FOR THAT BLINDNESS TO BE REMOVED BY THE POWER OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT. WHEN THAT HAPPENS THE SWITCH IS THROWN AND MAYBE A FEW LIGHTS COME ON. IT IS ONLY IF WE ACCEPT THESE LIGHTS AND WALK THE RIGHT WAY, WILL MORE LIGHT BE GIVEN US, AND SO THE PROCESS CONTINUES UNTIL WE DIE. IT IS A VERY CRITICAL TEACHING, FOR IT SHOWS THE PLAN OF GOD, AS HE IS WORKING IT OUT HERE BELOW WITH HUMAN BEINGS, TO BRING MANY SON AND DAUGHTERS TO HIS ETERNAL KINGDOM FAMILY. HERE ARE SOME OF THE PERTINENT SCRIPTURES ON SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS: ...... Job 21:14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire NOT the knowledge of thy ways. Psa. 82:5. They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness. Psa. 95:10. It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways. Psa. 119:18. Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Prov. 1:7. Fools despise wisdom and instruction. 22. How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 29. They hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: 30. They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Prov. 4:19. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. Prov. 14:12. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 3. The foolishiness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD. Prov. 28:5. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that SEEK the LORD understand all things. Isa. 1:3. The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. Isa. 5:13. Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: 20. Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isa. 6:9. Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. Matt. 13:14; John 12:38-41. Isa. 92. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Isa. 26:10. Let favour be chewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD. 11. LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see. Isa. 28:13. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, anal there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. 15. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves. Isa. 29:10. The LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. 11. And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed 12. And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee and he saith, I am not learned. Isa. 44:18. They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts that they cannot understand. Isa. 48:8. Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and was called a transgressor from the womb. Isa. 60:2. Darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people. Jer. 2:8. The priest said not, Where is the LORD 11 and they that handle the law knew me not. Jer. 4:22. My people is foolish, they have not known me; ... and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. Jer. 8:7. Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD. Ezek. 12:2. Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not, they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house. Dan. 12:10. None of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Hos. 4:1. The LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, no mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. 6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me. Hos. 5:4. They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God .... and they have not known the LORD. Mic. 4:12. They know not the thoughts of the Lord, neither understand they his counsel. Matt. 13:13. Therefore speak I to them in ambles: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. l4. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15. For this heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Matt. 15:14. They be blind readers of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Mark 4:11. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12. That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Mark 6:52. They considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened. Luke 19:42. If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. Luke 23::34. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. John 1:5. The light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 10. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. John 8:12: Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 33. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest then, Ye shall be made free? 42. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 39. Jesus said, For judgment I am come into, this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made, blind. Acts 17:23. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. Acts 26:18. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Rom. 1:19. That which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God bath shewed it unto them. 20. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21. When they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful ; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 28. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29. Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity: whisperers, 30. Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31. Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Rom. 11:7 What then? Israel has not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. 8 According as it is written, God has given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, unto this day. Rom. 11:25. Blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. 1 Cor. 2:14. The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto hiss: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 2 Con 3:14. Their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail un-taken away in the reading of the old testament. 15. Even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 2 Cor. 4:3. If our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (in sin): 4. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them, which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Gal. 4:8. Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. Eph. 4:18. Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart. Eph. 5:8. Ye were sometimes [once, R. V.) darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord. Col. 1:13. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. 2 Tim. 3:7. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 13. Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. Tit. 1:16. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him. 1 Pet. 1:14. As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance. 1 Pet. 2:9. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. …………………… It is clear from all the above Scriptures, that all mankind is in a state of SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS UNTIL God CALLS them OUT OF that BLINDNESS. Until the Lord, working through His Spirit REVEALS spiritual truths to the human mind (and not all spiritual truths are revealed at one time, but SOME of the basic truths will be revealed), the human mind CANNOT understand the things of God. The human mind may not hate God, it may even be in a neutral position, but by and of itself it cannot understand the spiritual things of God. It takes the Spirit of the Lord working with that human mind, to teach the human mind that which pertains to the mind of God. It is God that has CHOSEN to BLIND the mind of mankind to His spiritual truths, UNTIL God decides to CALL that person to see some of the very basic truths of God's way of life. He will nearly always only reveal SOME basic truths to an individual. He will then wait to see if that person is receptable to those truths and will act on them, for the human mind does have freedom of choice. God will NEVER force a truth on anyone, for He made mankind NOT as ROBOTS, but as having a mind that can CHOOSE the evil or the good. God DESIRES you to choose the good and the righteous, but He will not force you to choose the good, that is up to you, that is where YOUR PART comes in. God can lead you, open your mind to truth, but your free will part is to decide to follow that truth or reject it. I have a full and in-depth study on this named "Called and Chosen - When?" As God is the One who has BLINDED the minds of mankind to spiritual truth, it is He only that can take away that blindness. And He will do that for each and ever person who has lived or will ever live, but He has a TIME PLAN to do all that. Some were called in the past, some are called today, and some will be called in the future. Then again, some were not called in the lifetime they lived in the past, nor in their lifetime today, and some will not be called in the life time they are yet to live, being as yet unborn. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT IN THE TIME FRAME OF GOD'S PLAN FOR ALL HUMAN KIND, ALL WILL HAVE A CHANCE FOR SALVATION. THERE ARE MANY STUDIES ON THIS WEBSITE THAT GIVE YOU THE DETAILS OF THE PLAN OF SALVATION FOR ALL MANKIND. The vast majority of Christians today, even the vast majority of Christian ministers, DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE SALVATION PLAN FOR MANKIND AS REVEALED IN THE BIBLE AND THROUGH THE TYPOLOGY OF THE FESTIVALS OF THE LORD. YOU can come to understand, IF you really desire, IF you will SEEK the Lord. This plan of salvation is all expounded to you on this Website. So look, search, hunger for truth and righteousness, and you will find it! You can come to KNOW this part of the WILL and MIND of the Eternal Creator God! ...................... |
