The Apostle Paul describes the time of the end very concisely in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3. "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first" Very few of us will deny that the signs of the deepening apostasy are all around us and most Christians believe that very shortly we will be standing in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. Of course, when the year 2000 came and passed without event, huge numbers of lukewarm Christians fell by the wayside in their belief of His Coming, as if somehow God had let them down. Interesting isn't it, that we somehow think God should follow our interpretation of His Prophecy. It just proves that His Word is wrapped up in such an intricately woven veil that truly, only the seasons seem clear to us. 

PEOPLE  FALL  AWAY  FOR  DIFFERENT  REASONS, BUT  ONE  IS  FROM  LOOKING  TO  THE  "SETTING  DATES"  -  A  DAY  OR  YEAR.  AND  THERE  SURE  HAS  BEEN  LOTS  OF  THAT  GOING  ON  FOR  THE  LAST  50  YEARS  OR  MORE  - Keith Hunt

Still, one wonders! After all, He caused His Prophet Amos to declare "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets" (Amos 3: 7). And Jesus Himself said, "Behold, I have told you before" (Matthew 24: 25). So perhaps it should be obvious that God wants us to read the signs and study the prophecies, to become familiar with His Magnificent Plan. The fact that it is interwoven amongst all the Books of the Bible makes it a most demanding task but through continual study, secrets will emerge.

Fortunately, today's students have the benefit of the tremendous studies of such scholars as Howard Rand, Ivan Panin, Bishop Usher, Frank Dowsett and many others. 

JUST  NOT  SO  AT  ALL.  THE  ABOVE  NAMED  HAD  NOT  A

Daniel 12 is one of the most overwhelming prophecies in the entire Bible. Certainly, it should give hope to all those who endeavour to walk with Jesus Christ and pause to those who have yet to be drawn to Him. Of course, Daniel 12 ties in with numerous other prophecies throughout the Holy Scriptures but space permits mention of only a few. It is the last of Daniel's prophecies and relates to the time of great trouble for the descendants of Jacob Israel. In fact, Verse 1 foretells that at this time of unequalled trouble for true Israel, Jesus will return to deliver them......Then Daniel is told (Verse 4), "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." This is a very significant verse in that it refers to a period at the end of the age when travel and increasing knowledge will become very commonplace. A well-known scholar pointed out to me that the word knowledge used in this verse also has the inference of "knowledge of evil" (Strongs' Concordance #1847). Certainly, we recognize that we are in the "Time of the End" but the question begging an answer is "When did this period begin?" Some suggest the words tie Daniel to Revelation in that John is told in Revelation 1: 3 that "The time is at hand"; meaning that what was sealed with Daniel is now being revealed with John. It's hard to disagree with this line of thought but perhaps there is another connection that should be explored. .

DANIEL 12  ACTUALLY  STANDS  ON  ITS  OWN.  IT  DOES

NOT  NEED  THE  BOOK  OF  REVELATION.  DANIEL  12

STANDS  WITH  DANIEL  11:40-45.  FROM  DANIEL  11:40  IT

IS  ONE  CONTINUOUS  PROPHECY  -  Keith Hunt

Verse 5 & 6, Daniel sees two persons standing on each side of a river. One said to the other, who was now upon the waters, "How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?" So now we are faced with a second time reference, the first being a period known as the "time of the end" and then "the end of these wonders," that is, the pinnacle of the "Time of Trouble and the Resurrection." In reply, (Verse7) the man clothed in linen, believed by a growing number of Bible students as the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, lifts both arms, presumably pointing to the past and future, and refers to a time, times and half of times. Perhaps the quickest way to place "time, times and half a time" into perspective is to refer to Revelation 12: 14 in relation to Revelation 12: 6. Verse 12: 14 gives the time factor as "time, times and half of time" whereas 12: 6 describes the exact same event as a thousand two hundred and threescore days, meaning of course that the two expressions relate to an equivalent time period, i.e. 1,260 days......

OR  CAN  MEAN  1,260  YEARS,  USING  A  DAY  FOR  A

YEAR,  USING  EZEKIEL 4:6  -  Keith Hunt

In Verses 8 & 9, Daniel said he doesn't understand so again he asks what shall be the end of these things. And again he is told to go his way because the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. In Verse 10, the time of the end is described in the sense that many will be purified, that the wicked shall do wickedly, that the wicked won't understand, but the wise (Bible students) will understand. 

HE  BIBLE  INTERPRETS  ITSELF.  THE  WISE = PSALM 111:10.   ALSO  VERSES  7-9  IN  CONTEXT.  IF  YOU  ARE  NOT 

OBSERVING  THE  4TH  COMMANDMENT  OF  THE  GREAT 

TEN,  AND  THAT  MEANS  THE  7TH  DAY  OF  THE  WEEK, 

NOT  THE  1ST,  YOU  WILL  NEVER  UNDERSTAND  BIBLE 

PROPHECY.  AND  THEN  AS  STATED  BEFORE  ONLY  A  FEW 

7TH  DAY  OBSERVERS  WILL  BE  "PROPHETS"  IN  GOD'S

In Verse 13 Daniel is told to go and wait for the end, that he will rest (in the grave) and will be in the Resurrection. Verse 11 is exceptionally important, "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." 

THE  WORD  "SACRIFICE"  IS  NOT  IN  THE  HEBREW.  AND 

SO  MOST  WHO  TRY  THEIR  HAND  AT  PROPHECY,  FALL 

HEAD-OVER-HEELS  RIGHT  HERE.  I  GIVE  YOU  THE 

ANSWER  IN  OTHER  SECTIONS  UNDER  "PROPHECY"  ON

I agree with many of those Bible students who interpret this as 30 days (prophetically 30 years) beyond the 1,260 years that ended in 1917/18, bringing us to 1947/48. The agreement for the Jews to return to Jerusalem was signed in 1947 and the modern Israeli nation was born in 1948.

We have to remember that not all Jews are Israelite. Also that they have brought a religion based on the tradition of the elders to the Holy Land rather than on the Laws of God and the foundation of Jesus Christ. Consequently, to many scholars, the year 1948 marks the establishment of the abomination of desolation.

IT IS THE TIME OF THE LAST 1260 DAYS, 3 AND 1/2 YEARS, 42 MONTHS, PLUS SOME OTHER DAYS THAT ONLY DANIEL GIVES IN THE LAST FEW VERSES.

IT IS INDEED A VERY END TIME PROPHECY THAT TAKES IN ALL OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION.

Authorized (King James) Version

12 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: 

WE HAVE COME TO THE KING OF THE NORTH DEFEATING THE KING OF THE SOUTH [verses 40-45]

and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: 

JESUS SPOKE ABOUT THIS TIME OF TROUBLE LIKE NO OTHER, IN MATTHEW 24.

and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 

IS THIS A DOUBLE RESURRECTION?....THE SAINTS AND SOME UNCONVERTED ONES. THERE WAS---- 

SOME RESURRECTED AFTER JESUS WAS RESURRECTED; YES IT IS THERE IN THE GOSPELS.

3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 

ONES THAT ARE DOING THE WORK OF GOD

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

THAT TIME IS NOW

5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. 6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? 7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

IT IS THE SAME TIME AS GIVEN IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION.  A TIME, TIMES, AND HALF A TIME IS A YEAR, TWO YEARS, AND HALF A YEAR. GOD'S ORIGINAL YEAR WAS 12 MONTHS AND 30 DAYS TO A MONTH = 1260 DAYS OR YEARS - 42 MONTHS, 3 AND A 1/2 YEARS. 

8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. 

THOSE THAT DO GOD'S COMMANDMENTS WILL KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THE END TIME 

PROPHECIES - PSALM 111: 10 

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, 

NOTICE THE WORD   "SACRIFICE"   IS NOT IN THE HEBREW. 

ITALIC WORDS IN THE AUTHORIZED KJV MEANS IT IS NOT IN THE HEBREW. THE DAILY STOPPED WILL BE DAILY LIFE AS WE KNOW IT TODAY, AND GOING  TO THE WAILING WALL WILL STOP AS IT WILL COME DOWN, TO FULFILL JESUS PROPHECY THAT NOT ONE STONE OF THE OLD TEMPLE WILL STAND BUT COME DOWN.

AND IT IS THE ABOMINATION THAT MAKES DESOLATE.

IT IS THIS THAT JESUS WAS REFERRING TO IN MAT. 24; MARK 13; LUKE 21. THE ABOMINATION OF THE LAST AND 7TH RESURRECTED HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE OF EUROPE. 

THIS BEAST POWER WITH A CHURCH RULING IT IS AN ABOMINATION TO GOD.

THE GOSPEL OF LUKE CHAPTER 21 AND VERSES 20, 21 GIVES THE INTERPRETATION.

THE KING OF THE NORTH WILL PLACE ITS ARMIES AROUND JERUSALEM AND MAKE IT DESOLATE.

there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 

MORE DAYS THAN 1260. WHAT THAT IS ALL ABOUT WE ARE NOT TOLD

13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

A Work that will not be Believed!

"AND I WILL WORK A WORK ......" Habakkuk 1:5 There were signs at the FIRST coming of the Lord Jesus to this earth. His birth was announced to Joseph and Mary. Shepherds in the fields were told about it from angels. Wise men from the East came to worship Him. The birth of John the baptist was told to his parents; he would lead the way (Luke 1:67-80). Those people would have shared all that news with at least some others; certainly the shepherds would have told others what they had seen and been told. From the New Testament we know that some of John the baptist followers were from the evidence around them, looking for the ONE whom the prophets had spoken about - the Messiah. Some of John's followers became Jesus' disciples. John himself gave witness that Jesus was the Lamb of God (John 1:35-36). When Jesus called Philip he went to Nathanael and said, "We have found Him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph (John 1:43-45). Jesus told Nathanael he had seen him under a fig tree.....Nathanael said, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God..." (John 1:47-49). So from many things a number of people KNEW it was TIME for the Messiah to appear in Israel and do God's work. Oh yes, most of them had a number of things mixed up and not clear in their minds. They knew the Messiah would restore Israel to a world power and influence. They had most of the prophecies of the coming of the Messiah in POWER and GLORY, mixed in with the coming that was now in front of them. Many things, they did not have straight about the coming of the Messiah that was at that time. The Scribes and Pharisees taught something about a coming of Elijah at the Messiah's coming. But they did not fully understand that truth. The idea about it came out when Jesus was transfigured in front of Peter, James and John his brother on the mount (Matthew 17). Moses and Elijah appeared in that VISION with Jesus (v.3,9). Jesus told them to tell no one what they had seen. They answered, "Why then say the Scribes that Elijah must first come?" (v.10). Oh it was correct what the Scribes taught. Jesus went on to say Elijah would come, and RESTORE all things. Yet Jesus further added that Elijah HAD COME, and he suffered from persecution. The masses of the "religious" people did NOT recognize the prophecy about Elijah was fulfilled. The none religious.....well they certainly did not know or even care or take any notice of this "strange" guy in their midst telling people to REPENT, for the Messiah was near at hand (v.11-12). Ah then it came clear in the minds of Peter, James and John, that Jesus was talking about John the baptist as the fulfilling of the promised Elijah (v.13). Now this prophecy about the Elijah to come is found in Malachi 4:4- 6. So we should now be able to see that this prophecy of the Elijah has TWO FULFILMENTS - one at the first coming of Christ and one at the second coming, or to be specifically correct BEFORE the DAY OF THE LORD. In end time prophecy that is the last year (day for a year principle in prophecy) before the literal return of Jesus to earth in glory and power. Sometime BEFORE - not given as to how much before the day of the Lord, this prophecy will have its reality. Now if you are putting all this correctly in your mind; from Matthew 17 and Malachi 4. You now know there will come a work of Elijah (you should have seen already it's not the literal Elijah of the Old Testament) that will RESTORE things and it will all happen sometime BEFORE "the day of the Lord" at the end time. I've covered and proved for you in other studies that the END TIME of the book of Revelation is about 1260 days or 42 months. The "day of the Lord" being about the last 12 months of the 42 months. The religious world at Jesus' first coming basically knew there had to be an "Elijah" before the Messiah came, BUT THEY SURE COULD NOT RECOGNIZE THAT PROPHECY WHEN IT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM! A lot of prophecy is DUAL in application, BUT the second fulfilment does not have to follow EXACTLY like the first fulfilment. But there will be a very SIMILAR "not recognize" application, even as it was in the first fulfilment. The SECOND fulfilment as Jesus said will "RESTORE ALL THINGS" (Matthew 17). Yet with the world of the Internet you can go on there and find MANY people or organizations that will tell you, THEY have the truth of the word of God. Now we not only have the Internat but also YOUTUBE, with all kinds of "preachers" of God's word on there - probably a few hundred at least that "preach and teach" in a somewhat large way (we'll count out the many on there who only preach and teach just a little). For to do as Jesus said "restore all things" I think you'd have to be pretty large in your teaching and preaching, for MANY truths would have to be taught I think to qualify for "restore all things." And if you are still thinking logically, it would also mean, many FALSE "Christian" teachings would need to be exposed as false teachings. So again thinking logically the "run of the mill" the "popular" Christianity that has been around for centuries, would not qualify as "restore all things." For why at the end time would you restore all things if all things have been restored for centuries of even for one or two hundred years already? Yes common logic should tell you MANY of God's truths HAVE BEEN PERVERTED by the end time, and certainly need to be restored before the day of the Lord comes on this earth. Logic would tell you that they need to be restored so a people at the end time can BE PREPARED to WITNESS FOR TRUTH before the day of the Lord and also witness for that truth during the day of the Lord, right up to the coming of the Messiah in glory and power. There is something very important, important in a sad way really, to this end time Elijah prophecy. It's what is the heading of this little study. It is found in Habakkuk chapter one. For starters how many people read the book of Habakkuk? If I was a betting man I'd say very very few Christians indeed read the book of Habakkuk today. The book of Habakkuk is an end time book, yes it is. It will have an end time fulfilment. Look at chapter 2 and verse 14 -- "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." Now tell me if that has EVER been fulfilled since the days of Adam and Eve. I've expounded for you the book of Habakkuk FOR TODAY on my website and blog. Before all that will take place in the book of Habakkuk right up to the knowledge of God covering this earth like the waters cover the seas ...... well notice what God says, "BEHOLD YOU AMONG THE HEATHEN AND REGARD, and wonder marvellously: FOR I WILL WORK A WORK IN YOUR DAYS, ***WHICH YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE, THOUGH IT BE TOLD YOU*** (V.5). Only a very FEW, relatively speaking, AT THE TIME OF JOHN THE BAPTIST, recognized the prophecy of Malachi was in fulfilment, and it was then the age of looking for the Messiah to come. And most important it was a time as never before to GET IN HARMONY WITH GOD AND HIS TRUTHS AND TURNING THE HEART OF THE FATHERS TO THE CHILDREN AND HEART OF THE CHILDREN TO THE FATHERS.....WHICH WAS A WAY OF SAYING HUMBLE YOURSELF AND COME TO REPENTANCE.....FOR INDEED THAT WAS WHAT JOHN WAS DOING.....BRINGING PEOPLE TO TRUTH AND REPENTANCE. SO NOW YOU KNOW A WORK WILL BE DONE BEFORE THE MESSIAH COMES AGAIN, A WORK THAT WILL RESTORE THE TRUTHS OF GOD, BRING PEOPLE TO HUMBLE REPENTANCE, PREPARE A PEOPLE FOR THE FIRST RESURRECTION AT THE COMING OF THE MESSIAH IN POWER AND GLORY. MOST AT CHRIST'S FIRST COMING DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT HEART, THE RIGHT MIND, THEY COULD NOT COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH. THEY COULD NOT SEE THE TRUTH WAS BEING GIVEN TO THEM, THE WORK OF GOD WAS BEING DONE BUT IT WAS NOT BELIEVED, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS TOLD TO THEM. SO WHERE ARE YOU FRIENDS? DO ***YOU*** HUNGER AND THIRST AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUTH? DO YOU DESIRE THE TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD MORE THAT ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD? DO YOU DESIRE IT MORE THAN GOLD OR SILVER, MORE THAN ANY PERSON, MORE THAN ANY JOB OR HOBBY? ARE YOU WILLING TO SPEND TIME SEARCHING FOR THAT TRUTH, SOMETIMES MANY HOURS OF BIBLE STUDY MIXED WITH PRAYER AND MEDITATION, EVEN ADDING SOME FASTING NOW AND AGAIN?
