Message for the Feast of Tabernacles
IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH TO FIGURE THE WORLD HAS SOME PRETTY MESSED UP PROBLEMS. THERE ARE WARS AND RUMOR OF WARS; THERE ARE SICKNESSES AND VIRUSES AND PESTILENCES ALL AROUND US; CANCER IS STILL VERY MUCH WITH US; FANATICS OF WHATEVER IDEOLOGY WANT TO BRING WAR AND DEATH ON ANYONE WHO IS NOT "WITH" THEM. CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS ARE STILL FULL OF SICK CHILDREN; REFUGEES ARE STILL FLEEING COUNTRY STRICKEN WITH CIVIL WARS; PEOPLE DIE EVERY DAY VIA ROAD ACCIDENTS; THEY SAY THERE ARE 40 MILLION IN THE WORLD SUFFERING FROM A SLOW AND MENTALLY HORRIBLE DECEASE CALLED ALZHEIMERS, THAT ENDS IN DEATH. WE HAVE PEOPLE WHO GO OUT AND KILL OTHERS IN INDIVIDUAL OR MASS MURDER, PROBABLY OFTEN DEMON INFLUENCED; AND SO INDEED WE HAVE A WORLD, A INVISIBLE WORLD WHERE THE DARKNESS OF THE FALLEN SPIRITS ARE BUSY DECEIVING AND WORKING THEIR DARKNESS IN THE LIVES OF HUMANS. WE HAVE RELIGIOUS DECEPTIONS BY THE DOZENS. WE HAVE ONCE UPON A TIME NATIONS THAT WERE FOUNDED UPON THE BIBLE, THAT HAVE NOW THROWN IT AWAY AND MOVED INTO MORE AND MORE SECULARISM, AGNOSTICISM, AND EVOLUTION TEACHING. WE HAVE A WORLD FULL OF HATE AND A LACK OF LOVE, PATIENCE, WHERE FAR TOO MANY ARE ONLY CONCERNED WITH THEMSELVES AND THE ATTITUDE OF "TO HECK WITH YOU, I COME FIRST."
THE WORLD IS STILL POLLUTING ITSELF PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY AND SPIRITUALLY. WE HAVE RAISED AT LEAST ONE GENERATION [AND MAYBE TWO] ON JUNK FOOD, AND FAST FOOD, CHEMICALLY PROCESSED FOODS, THAT HAVE PRODUCED AN EPIDEMIC OF OVER-WEIGHT CHILDREN AND ADULTS. AND OF COURSE WE HAVE THE "DRUG" CULTURE THAT BREAKS MIND AND BODY. THEN THERE IS THE ATTITUDE OF SEX, SEX AND MORE SEX, WITH WHOEVER, WHENEVER.
YES IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH LOOKING AND THINKING TO KNOW THE WORLD IS IN A PRETTY MIXED UP WAY, IN WAYS THAT WILL BRING DISASTER UPON ALL, IF WE DO NOT CHANGE THINGS; AND MORALLY AND SPIRITUALLY I CAN'T SEE THAT CHANGE HAPPENING UNTIL WE ARE ABOUT TO OBLITERATE OURSELVES OFF THE PLANET. THE LATEST STATS JUST OUT SAY WE HAVE LOST 52 PERCENT OF NATURAL SPECIES IN THE LAST 30 YEARS OR SO. WITH THE MELTING OF GREENLAND AND THE NORTH POLE THEY SAY THE POLAR-BEAR COULD SOON BECOME EXTINCT.
AND AT PRESENT WE AS HUMANS LIVE IN A WORLD THAT HAS "TIME AND CHANCE" FOR ALL PEOPLE, AND THAT DOES INCLUDE CHRISTIANS ALSO:
"I turned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to the men of understanding, nor yet favor to the men of skill; BUT TIME AND CHANCE HAPPEN TO THEM ALL" (Ecc. 9:11).
SOLOMON ALSO WROTE: "...there is a just man that perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongs his life in his wickedness" (Ecc. 7:15).
GOD IS NOT NOW DIRECTLY DEALING WITH THE WHOLE WORLD; SOLOMON ALSO SAID, "Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him. For he knows not that which shall be; for who can tell him when it shall be?" (Ecc. 8:6-7).
SOMETIMES THE ETERNAL DOES HAVE MERCY IN PHYSICAL WAYS ON SOME PEOPLE......BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS FOR US, OR IF WE SHALL HAVE A TOMORROW IN THIS PHYSICAL LIFE.
THE ETERNAL BY AND LARGE HAS HANDS OFF ON THIS WORLD; HE LETS PEOPLE REJECT HIM, GO THEIR OWN WAY, DO THEIR OWN THING; SO INDEED TIME AND CHANCE IS HERE, EVEN FOR THE CHRISTIAN. BUT FOR THE CHRISTIAN GOD SAYS HE WILL BE WITH US THROUGH IT ALL.
MOST OF US CHRISTIANS WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A SAFE PEACEFUL LIFE; THAT'S WHY THE TEACHING OF THE "SECRET RAPTURE" IS SO POPULAR - CHRISTIANS WOULD LIKE TO THINK THEY WILL ESCAPE THE TRIBULATIONS TO COME ON THIS EARTH AT THE VERY END TIME, AND BE FLOWN OFF TO HEAVEN.
FOR SURE GOD HAS THROUGH THE AGES GIVEN PROTECTION FOR SOME CHRISTIANS FROM TRIBULATION AND DEATH; YET AS HEBREWS 11 SHOWS [AS WELL AS THE LIVES OF SOME OF THE FIRST APOSTLES] SOME OF GOD'S PEOPLE ARE CHOSEN TO MAKE A STAND FOR TRUTH AGAINST FALSEHOOD, AND TO EVEN DIE FOR IT.
SO IT WILL BE IN THE LAST YEARS OF THIS AGE.
BUT BEYOND ALL OF THIS AND WHAT IS YET TO COME, WE HAVE PROPHECY AFTER PROPHECY, TRUTH AFTER TRUTH, PROMISE AFTER PROMISE, IN THE BIBLE, THAT A NEW FANTASTIC, KINDA UNBELIEVABLE TO THINK ABOUT, AGE IS TO COME TO EARTH.
IT WILL COME WITH THE RETURN OF CHRIST JESUS FROM HEAVEN TO ONCE MORE LIVE ON EARTH, AND BRING US A THOUSANDS YEARS OF A MIRACULOUS AGE.
DURING THIS FEAST OF TABERNACLES WE NEED TO REJOICE AND BE UPLIFTED WITH PASSAGES AS LIKE:
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted about the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come you, and let us go up unto the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks, nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more" (Isa. 2:2-4).
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts he will perform this" (Isa. 9:6-7).
"And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.....with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth....and righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox......They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the seas" (Isa. 11:1-9).
"And the moon shall be comfounded and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.....And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering, cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God shall wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord has spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord, we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation" (Isa. 24:23 and 25:6-9).
"In that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. For the terrible one is brought to naught, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off......They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine" (Isa. 29:18-24).
"....For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: you shall weep no more.....yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers. And thine ears shall hear a word behind you, saying: This is the way, walk you in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left" (Isa. 30:19-21).
"And say unto them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: Behold your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water.....And the ransom of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing and everlasting joy upon their heads, and they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away" (Isa. 35:4-10).
"The voice of him that cries in the wilderness: Prepare you the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it....Behold the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold reward is with him, and his work before him. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd; and he shall gather his lambs with his arms, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young" (Isa. 40: 3-11).
"TO WHOM THEN WILL YOU LIKEN GOD? OR WHAT LIKENESS WILL YOU COMPARE UNTO HIM" (Isa. 40:18).
"TO WHOM THEN WILL YOU LIKEN ME, OR SHALL I BE EQUAL, SAID THE HOLY ONE" (Isa. 40:25).
"I EVEN I, AM THE LORD, AND BESIDES ME THERE IS NO SAVIOR" (Isa. 43:11).
"...I AM THE FIRST, AND I AM THE LAST; AND BESIDE ME THERE IS NO GOD" (Isa. 44:6).
"Remember the former things of old; FOR I AM GOD, AND THERE IS NONE ELSE; I AM GOD AND THERE IS NONE LIKE ME. DECLARING THE END FROM THE BEGINNING, AND FROM ANCIENT TIMES THE THINGS THAT ARE NOT YET DONE, SAYING, MY COUNSEL SHALL STAND, AND I WILL DO MY PLEASURE....I HAVE SPOKEN IT, I WILL ALSO BRING IT TO PASS; I HAVE PURPOSED IT, I WILL ALSO DO IT" (Isa. 46: 9-11).
"FOR BEHOLD THE LORD WILL COME WITH FIRE, AND WITH HIS CHARIOTS LIKE A WHIRLWIND, TO RENDER HIS ANGER WITH FURY, AND HIS REBUKE WITH FLAMES OF FIRE. FOR BY FIRE AND BY HIS SWORD WILL THE LORD PLEAD WITH ALL FLESH.....AND I WILL SET A SIGN AMONG THEM, AND I WILL SEND THOSE THAT ESCAPE OF THEM UNTO THE NATIONS....TO THE ISLES AFAR OFF, THAT HAVE NOT HEARD MY FAME, NEITHER HAVE SEEN MY GLORY; AND THEY SHALL DECLARE MY GLORY AMONG THE GENTILES" (Isa. 66:15-19).

AH FRIENDS THAT IS JUST A LITTLE FROM THE BOOK OF ISAIAH. THEN THERE ARE ALL THE OTHER PROPHETIC BOOKS, FULL OF THE WONDERFUL SURE PROMISES OF THE ETERNAL GOD; THAT A NEW AGE WILL COME; THAT THE FATHER WILL SEND JESUS THE MESSIAH BACK TO EARTH, WITH POWER AND GLORY, TO RULE ALL NATIONS, AND TO BRING THE KINGDOM OF GOD TO EARTH FOR THE FIRST ONE THOUSAND YEARS; THEN FOREVER AS THE FATHER COMES DOWN TO LIVE WITH HIS CHILDREN ON THE NEW EARTH FOREVER AND EVER.
OH THE GLORY THAT IS YET TO COME.

TABERNACLES MESSAGE
HERE WE ARE GETTING CLOSE TO THE END OF ANOTHER ROMAN YEAR - 2013. THE YEARS SEEM TO GO BY QUICKER THAN EVER. BUT WHEN YOU ARE BUSY THAT IS THE WAY LIFE GOES. AND I'M ALWAYS BUSY, MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY....KEEPS YOU YOUNG IN MIND AND BODY.
WE ARE STILL IN A WORLD FILLED WITH VIOLENCE, WARS, HATRED,
EVILS, DEGENERATION IN TRUTH AND MORALS; A WORLD OF TOO OFTEN VIOLENT WEATHER, AND JUST CRAZY STORMS AND FLOODS. IT IS A WORLD WHERE THE WESTERN NATIONS ARE FOREVER MOVING INTO THAT WHICH IS NOT RIGHTEOUSNESS, BUT SIN AND WICKEDNESS. A WESTERN WORLD WHERE GOOD IS CALLED EVIL, AND EVIL IS CALLED GOOD.
IT IS A WORLD THAT PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, AND EMOTIONALLY, KEEPS SLIDING DOWN THE SLIPPERY SLOPE TO MORE AND MORE DISASTERS.
YES IT IS A WORLD OF MORE SPACE-AGE THIS AND THAT AND STUFF THAT KEEPS EVOLVING TO MORE AND MORE MATERIAL THINGS THAT BLOW THE MIND.... WHAT MANKIND CAN INVENT IS TRULY AMAZING.
YET SOME, WELL SO FAR ABOUT 2,000 PEOPLE HAVE SIGNED UP FOR A ONE WAY TICKET TO MARS, THAT THEY THINK WILL START IN ABOUT 10 YEARS. OBVIOUSLY SOME ARE WANTING TO ESCAPE THIS EARTH. I GUESS MAYBE THEY THINK IT WILL BE PEACEFUL AND LESS RUSHED, AND CAOTIC, TO SPEND THE REST OF THEIR LIVES ON A ROCK OF DUST AND EXTREMELY LOW TEMPERATURES AT NIGHT. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO LOOK BACK AT THE BLUE PLANET AND ONLY REMEMBER THE WARS AND SICKNESSES AND PHYSICAL STORMS; I GUESS AFTER A WHILE EVEN THOSE MEMORIES WILL START TO FADE AS THEIR LIFE DRAWS CLOSER TO ITS END.
WELL MARS IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO CAN AFFORD THE ONE WAY TICKET TO GO THERE. THE REST OF US MUST REMAIN ON THIS PLANET CALLED EARTH. AS SOME HAVE SAID THIS PLANET SHOULD REALLY BE CALLED "WATER" AS TWO THIRDS OF IT IS COVERED BY WATER. I'M SURPRISED THE EVOLUTIONISTS AND ATHEISTS HAVEN'T PUSHED TO HAVE OUR PLANET'S NAME CHANGED..... IT IS CALLED "EARTH" BECAUSE GOD NAMED IT SO.
THERE IS MUCH YET TO COME ON THIS EARTH THAT IS NOT GOOD!
THE WORDS "NOT GOOD" IS A POLITE WAY TO PHRASE IT REALLY.
THE BOOK OF REVELATION WITH ITS TRUMPET SOUNDS AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE ETERNAL GOD'S FESTIVALS OF TRUMPETS AND ATONEMENT.
NOT VERY PLEASANT OR COMFORTING, BUT AS THE WORLD HAS STEPPED OVER THE RED LINE OF NO RETURN, THE BOOK OF REVELATION HAS TO BE FULFILLED.
THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES WAS AT THE END OF THE FRUIT HARVEST IN THE HOLY LAND. IT WAS THE LAST HARVEST OF THE YEAR. LUSH, JUICY, PLEASANT, AROMIC, COLORFUL, IN MANY WAYS THE PRETTIEST HARVEST OF ALL.
WE CAN THINK OF HAVING A HOLIDAY IN A TENT OR CABIN BY A BEAUTIFUL LAKE, WITH ALL KINDS OF WONDERFUL FRUITS AND FOOD TO EAT; THE BIRDS SINGING, BLUE WARM SKIES, AND A TIME TO ONLY THINK ABOUT GOOD THINGS, AND ENJOY GOOD THINGS. GOD SAID MAKE THAT 7 DAY PERIOD SUCH, ENJOY THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART; OF COURSE WE KNOW THAT MEANS IN MODERATION AND PROPER MENTAL AND PHYSICAL CONDUCT AS BECOMES CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD.
IT IS A TIME FOR FAMILY, FELLOWSHIP, PARTYING .... AGAIN IN THE RIGHT SPIRIT. WE ARE ACTUALLY COMMANDED TO MAKE IT SO. YES THE ETERNAL HAS GIVEN US A 7 DAY PERIOD OF REJOICING, TO PUT AWAY THE TOILS AND STRESS AND FRUSTRATIONS THAT OFTEN, TOO OFTEN CAN FILL OUR NORMAL DAYS. TIME TO SLOW DOWN, RELAX MORE, ENJOY SOME GOOD FUNNY AND INSPIRING MOVIES [BE CAREFUL WITH 'FUNNY' TODAY, AS A LOT ARE SICK-FUNNY MOVIES] - ONE GREAT FUNNY MOVIE IS "COOL RUNNING" BASED ON A TRUE STORY, AND "MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING." OF COURSE THERE ARE MANY CLEAN FUNNY MOVIES OF YESTERDAY - BUD ABBOT AND LOU COSTELO, DANNY KAY, THE MARX BOTHERS, TO NAME OF FEW, THERE ARE DOZENS OF INSPIRING MOVIES, ONE OF MY VERY FAVORITES IS "RUNNING BRAVE" AND A TRUE STORY TO BOOT. IT IS A TIME TO ENJOY NATURE EITHER IN PERSON OR ON DVDs.
IT IS A TIME TO EAT OUT IN A LITTLE FANCIER RESTAURANT THAN USUAL, WITH WELL COOKED FOOD. A GLASS OF WINE OR A BOTTLE OF BEAR. A TIME TO JUST SIT AROUND AND FELLOWSHIP.
IT'S A TIME, IF YOU HAVE MORE MONEY THAN YOU NEED TO SHARE IT WITH OTHERS LESS FORTUNATE THAN YOURSELF, AND MAKE THEIR FEAST OF TABERNACLES A BLESSING ALSO.
AND OF COURSE IT IS THE TIME TO ZERO IN ON THE PROPHETS OF OLD IN THE BIBLE, ON THE MANY WONDERFUL PASSAGES OF THE BIBLE ABOUT THE AGE TO COME, THE 1,000 YEAR REIGN OF CHRIST AND THE KINDOM OF GOD, TO COME TO EARTH WITH THE RETURN OF CHRIST. THE BOOK OF REVELATION CHAPTERS 19 AND 20.
THE MEANING OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES IS A HUGE TOPIC, AND I'VE COVERED MUCH OF IT FOR YOU ON MY WEBSITE.
SO TAKE THE TIME TO GO STUDY SOME OF THOSE WRITINGS OF THE AGE TO COME. THAT WILL BE ONE GREAT WAY TO OBSERVE THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES.

The Ultimate
Question
Pilate asked; Jesus answered.
Brought before Pontius Pilate, Jesus spoke of His spiritual kingdom and bore witness to the truth (John 18:28-37).
"What is truth?" Pilate scoffed (v. 38).
This question sounds a note of deep skepticism. That note is echoed by the "wise men" of our day who conclude that no such thing as absolute truth exists — all persons have a right to their own truth.
Jesus, on the other hand, was full of truth, a word that fell often from His lips as recorded in John's Gospel. According to Jesus, truth is connected to God the Father, to Christ the Son, to the Holy Spirit, and to the written Word in the closest possible way.
What is truth, according to Jesus in John?
• I AM. "I am the ... truth ..." (14:6). By this we understand that truth is not mere statements of reality, not just provable facts nor accurate principles, although it encompasses these. All the above have been embodied in the Son of God — truth personified! No human brain or super-computer comprehends a tenth of all God knows. But heaven's truth and way to eternal life become clear to those who trust and obey ... simply Jesus. Truth is incarnate and personal!
• The Spirit. The Holy Spirit is "the Spirit of truth" (14:17; 15:26; 16:13). From His dwelling place within God's people, the Helper-Comforter reminds us of the truth taught by Christ, glorifies the Son by giving us what belongs to Christ, and guides us onward into all the truth of Christ. Though its applications are down-to-earth, truth revealed by the Spirit of truth is heavenly and spiritual indeed.
• Your word. Jesus said to the Father, "Your word is truth"(17:17). This statement may refer directly to the words He spoke to the Twelve (vv. 8, 14), but
its wider implication is to every word that proceeds from God's mouth. Truth has been revealed and is now recorded in Scripture for our learning.
• Father God. Just as the Devil is the father of lies (8:44), so God in heaven is the Father of truth. Scripture introduces us to the God who reveals Himself as true Father in heaven, as Son who spoke truly and declared Himself to be the truth on earth, and as the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth.
Comparing other verses in John, truth is what Jesus said and told, which, when known and done (practiced), brings people to the light, sanctifies them, and sets them free in Christ (3:21; 8:32, 36, 45, 46; 16:7; 17:1 7, 19; 18:37). Nowhere is the gospel truth about Jesus codified and enumerated like Old Testament law; it lives in creative tension with the law and the prophets (5:45-47; 6:32-34; 8:6-8, 11; 8:56-58; 15:10).
An earnest attempt to paraphrase what the Gospel of John says about truth is compressed in the five paragraphs just above. The sure way to get at this truth is to come to Jesus for ourselves — He who was full of truth and the truth personified. Love Him, learn from Him, and continue in His light!
Or we can return to Pilate's doubtful "What is truth?" and stumble on in darkness.

BUT WE HAVE OUR PART TO DO: WE MUST SEEK FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS - HUNGER AND THIRST FOR IT [MAT. 5:6]; WE MUST LOVE THE TRUTH [2 THES. 2:10-12]; WE MUST BE HUMBLE AND RESPECTFULLY FEARING GOD [ISA. 66:2]; WE MUST HAVE THE ATTITUDE OF DAVID AS IN PSALM 51; WE MUST BE WILLING TO BE CORRECTED [JER. 10:23, 24]; WE MUST BE WILLING TO SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES, SPENDING TIME, GOING BACK AND FORTH, FINDING ALL VERSES ON ANY PARTICULAR SUBJECT, PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER LIKE A JIG-SAW PUZZLE [2 TIM. 2:15].
YES, IT TAKES EFFORT AND TIME AND MEDITATION TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTHS OF GOD.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTE FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD, IS TO BE AS JESUS SAID, UNLESS YOU BECOME AS LITTLE CHILDREN, YOU SHALL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD [LUKE 18: 16-17].
A CHILD READS THE SIMPLE CLEAR WORDS OF THE BIBLE AND BELIEVES THEM. I WILL GIVE YOU MYSELF AS AN EXAMPLE. AS A YOUNG LAD MY LOCAL CHURCH I ATTENDED DID NOT TEACH THE LITERAL SECOND COMING OF CHRIST. I WAS ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD AND READ ACTS 1: 9-11. IT WAS SIMPLE TO READ; IT SAID WHAT IT MEANT AND MEANT WHAT IT SAID. I BELIEVED IT. I ONCE SAID TO MY SUNDAY-SCHOOL TEACHER, "JESUS WILL LITERALLY COME AGAIN, IT SAYS SO IN THE BOOK OF ACTS, CHAPTER ONE." I WELL REMEMBER HIS ASTONISHED LOOK ON HIS FACE, THAT I WOULD BELIEVE SUCH A THING.
UNLESS YOU BECOME AS A CHILD IN SIMPLE FAITH BELIEF YOU SHALL NOT ENTER GOD'S KINGDOM, SO SAID JESUS.
IT TAKES ALL OF THE ABOVE TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTHS OF GOD; AND THAT KNOWLEDGE GOD DOES NOT GIVE IN ALL ONE SWOOP. GOD WILL FIRST GIVE THE BASICS OF THE TRUTHS OF SALVATION, WHICH CAN TAKE DAYS OR WEEKS OR MONTHS TO ATTAIN, DEPENDING ON YOUR ATTITUDE OF MIND. THEN FROM THERE IT IS AS PETER WAS INSPIRED TO SAY, "GROW IN GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST" - WE SHOULD BE EVER, TILL THE DAY WE DIE, LEARNING THE DEEPER THINGS OF GOD, THAT WHICH HE HAS REVEALED TO US IN HIS WORD; KNOWING SOME THINGS WE LOOK THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY, AS PAUL SAID, BUT ONE DAY WE SHALL KNOW EVEN AS WE ARE KNOWN.

THE LAST GREAT DAY OF
THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

Here in Missouri at Nathan and Tara Chapman's home it is Sunday the 7th of October 2012. It is the last great day of the Feast of Tabernacles. It is the day recorded in John 7:37.
"In the last day, the great day of the feast….." And Jesus went on to tell them He was the living water.
IT HAS BEEN A MISTAKE MY MANY FEAST KEEPING GROUPS, to think Jesus was on the day that comes tomorrow - the Last Great Feast, the "octave" day mentioned in Lev.23.
NO, Jesus was talking about the 7th day of the Feast of Tabernacles in John 7:37.
And chapter 8 of John was the next day, the "octave" day - the Last Great Feast of the Lord in the annual Festivals He ordained and set in motion with the children of Israel. Feasts that have a mighty huge meaning in the plan of salvation the Eternal God is working out here below. And as John 8 shows the eyes of the blind shall be opened, but that is another study for that particular Feast day.
The Spirit of the Lord will be poured out as never before during the 1,000 year age. All people and nations will walk in the ways of the Eternal God. The Law and Word of God will go forth from Zion and Jerusalem.
It is written the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea beds - that is hard for the human mind in this age to imagine. But it will come to pass.
On that last 7th day of the Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus took the water ceremony that the priests had and turned it into an example of Himself, that He was the true water that gives life. As we cannot live without water, in this physical life, so to live in eternal life we need Jesus the Savior - the spiritual water that gives everlasting life.
Earlier in John 4 Jesus gave the same example to the Samaritan woman at the well. The water Jesus could give was a well of water springing up to everlasting life.

A GOOD STUDY FOR THIS LAST DAY OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES. FOR MANY A TRUTH THEY DID NOT KNOW BEFORE; FOR OTHERS A TRUTH THAT CORRECTS A FALSE ERROR OF TEACHING THAT HAS BEEN AROUND FOR DECADES.
I PRAY YOU ARE STILL LOVING TO FIND TRUTH, TO SEARCH FOR IT, TO HUNGER FOR IT, AND THAT WHEN FOUND YOU GREATLY REJOICE IN IT.
