Phase 4: The Antichrist Moves South Against the Remnant
Not all of the Jews are in Jerusalem when the antichrist and his forces attack. Recall that in the middle of the tribulation period, the antichrist will break his covenant with Israel and exalt himself as deity, even putting an image of himself in the Jewish temple. Christ, in His Olivet Discourse, warns the Jews to flee for their lives as quickly as possible (Matthew 24:15-31). Many of the Jews apparendy flee to the deserts and mountains (verse 16), perhaps in the area of Bozrah or Petra, about 80 miles south of Jerusalem. This escape from Jerusalem in described in Revelation 12.
The woman [a metaphor referring to Israel] fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days.. .The woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time (verses 6,14).
The antichrist now targets this remnant of Jews. They sense impending doom as the forces of the antichrist'gather in the rugged wilderness, poised to attack and annihilate them. From an earthly perspective, they are helpless and defenseless. This sets the stage for phase 5 of Armageddon.
(AS STATED BEFORE THERE CANNOT BE ANY JEWS FOR THEY WERE GIVEN THE SPIRIT OF GOD...EZ.39:29....HENCE IN THE "SECRET" RAPTURE [WHICH THERE WILL NOT BE] USING THIS MAN'S CHRONOLOGY.
THERE IS NO MIDDLE OF THE TRIBULATION [7 YEARS TOTAL AS THEY CLAIM]; THERE IS NO TEMPLE EITHER. BUT YES THE ANTICHRIST [FALSE PROPHET] WILL COME AGAINST JERUSALEM WITH ARMIES OF THE HOLY ROMAN EUROPE BEAST.
THIS IS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LAST 42 MONTHS, AND AS JESUS SAID, THOSE IN JERUSALEM HAD BETTER FLEE!
REVELATION 12.............
AND THE "WOMAN" IS NOT JEWS OR ISRAEL BUT THE TRUE CHURCH OF GOD. SOME WILL GO TO THE WILDERNESS AND FIND SAFETY, OTHERS WILL NOT AND BE PERSECUTED AND KILLED BY THE BABYLON/ROME BEAST - Keith Hunt)
Phase 5: Israel Endangered and Regenerated
The remnant of Israel is endangered and acutely aware that the forces of the antichrist have gathered to destroy them. However, the Jews spiritual blindness is removed, and they call out to their Messiah, Jesus Christ, and experience national regeneration.
As a backdrop to understanding the significance of this, recall the words of the apostle Paul (himself a Jew who turned to the Messiah) in Romans 11:25: "I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." Paul also tells us, "Israel who pursued a law that ' would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law. Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone," which is Jesus Christ (Romans 9:31-32).
Put another way, Israel sought a relationship with God by means of a righteousness earned by keeping the law. Instead of seeking a faith-relationship with God through Christ, they instead sought to earn a relationship with God by doing everything that the law prescribed (see Galatians 2:16; 3:2,5,10).
Failure was unavoidable, for to attain righteousness by observing the law, the Jews would have had to keep it perfectly (James 2:10), which no man is capable of doing. To make matters worse, they refused to admit their inability to perfecdy keep the law and turn by faith to God for His forgiveness. They rejected Jesus Christ as the Messiah, refusing to turn to Him in faith, because He did not fit their preconceived ideas about the Messiah (see, for example, Matthew 12:14,24). They "stumbled" over Him.
As a result, a partial judicial blindness or hardness of heart came upon Israel. Israel thus lost her favored position before God, and the gospel was then preached to the Gentiles so the Jews would become jealous and be saved (Romans 11:11). Israels hardening and casting off is thus only temporary.
(YES WITH ALL THAT I AGREE - Keith Hunt)
Now fast-forward to the campaign of Armageddon. The armies of the antichrist are gathered in the desert wilderness, poised to attack the Jewish remnant. At this desperate point, the Jews finally repent and turn to their divine Messiah.
Hosea 6:1-3 indicates that the Jewish leaders will call for the people of the nation to repent, and their collective repentance will take two days.
Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him. Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.
(THIS IS ABOUT ALL ISRAEL GAINING A HOPE OF LIFE AND SOME RESTORATION DURING THE
THIRD YEAR OF THE LAST 3 AND 1/2 YEARS OF THIS AGE. IT IS NOT ABOUT REPENTANCE TO SALVATION PER SE, BUT HOPE OF LIVING AS A PEOPLE ONCE MORE; REALIZATION THEY WILL NOT ALL PERISH FROM OFF THE EARTH, BUT WILL HAVE GOD HELP THEM SURVIVE - Keith Hunt)
Whereas Jewish leaders once led the Jewish people to reject Jesus as their Messiah, now they urge repentance and instruct all to turn to Christ. This the remnant will do, and they will be saved.
This is in keeping with Joel 2:28-29, which informs us that there will be a spiritual awakening of the Jewish remnant. It would seem that Armageddon will be the historical context in which Israel finally becomes converted (Zechariah 12:2—13:1). In terms of chronology, the Israelites will confess their national sin (Leviticus 26:40-42; Jeremiah 3:11-18; Hosea 5:15) and then be saved, thereby fulfilling Paul's prophecy in Romans 11:25-27. In dire threat at Armageddon, Israel will plead for their newly found Messiah to return and deliver them (Zechariah 12:10; Matthew 23:37-39; see also Isaiah 53:1-9), and their deliverance will surely come (see Romans 10:13-14). Israel's leaders will have finally realized the reason why the tribulation has fallen on them—perhaps because the Holy Spirit will enlighten their understanding of Scripture, or because of the testimony of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists, or because of the testimony of the two prophetic witnesses.

(Many things completely wrong, except the coming repentance of all Israel [Jews are only three tribes] eventually as they are brought back and restored in the Holy Land, at and after Christ has returned, to bring them from the nations of the earth - see Isaiah 11.
Jesus will deliver them from captivity. Everywhere in the prophets where you read about Christ's return, Israel and Judah are in captivity to their enemies.
Just before the "day of the wrath of God" "the day of the Lord" [last verse of Revelation 6] and just before the 7 trumpets being to sound, there are 144,000 from the tribes of Israel, sealed with God's spirit - Revelation 7. They will be in the resurrection at Christ's coming; the rest of the Israelites that will live on, will return to the Holy Land, as Jesus [saints and angels] lead them back - again see Isaiah 11.
They are the ones who will then in the first years of the millennium, have no walls, bars, gates - they will be at rest and secure, knowing the Messiah is living among them, and He will be their protection.
These will be the Israelites, that Gog and Magog and others will come against, to take a spoil, as given in Ezekiel 38 and 39, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy. For He will be among them and Israel will have God's Spirit poured out on them - they will be repentant converted people - Ezekiel 39:29 - Keith Hunt) ***
It is sad to recognize that according to Zechariah 13:7-9, some two-thirds of the Jewish people will lose their lives during the tribulation period. However, one-third—the remnant—will survive, turn to the Lord, and be saved (see Isaiah 64:1-12).
(ACTUALLY ONLY ONE TENTH OF ISRAELITES WILL LIVE TO SEE JESUS RETURN, SO SAY THE PROPHETS OF THE BIBLE - AMOS 5:3 - Keith Hunt)
Later, in the millennial kingdom, Israel will experience full possession of the promised land and the reestablishment of the Davidic throne. It will be a time of physical and spiritual blessing, the basis of which is the new covenant Jeremiah 31:31-34).
(AND THEY ARE THE ONES WHOM GOG AND MAGOG COME AGAINST IN EZEKIEL 38 AND
39 - Keith Hunt)
Phase 6: Jesus Christ Returns in Glory
The prayers of the Jewish remnant are answered! The divine Messiah returns personally to rescue His people from danger. The very same Jesus who 'ascended into heaven comes again at the second coming (Acts 1:9-11).
The second coming will involve a visible, physical, bodily return of the glorified Jesus. Apokalupsis Is a key New Testament Greek word used to describe the second coming of Christ. It carries the basic meaning of "revelation," "visible disclosure," "unveiling," and "removing the cover" from something that is hidden. The word is used of Christ's second coming in 1 Peter 4:13: "Rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed?
Epiphaneia is another Greek word used of Christ's second coming in theNewTestament. It means "to appear" or "to shine forth." In Titus 2:13 Paul speaks of "waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ." In 1 Timothy 6:14 Paul urges Timothy to "keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing o£ our Lord Jesus Christ."
The second coming will be a universal experience in the sense that every eye will witness the event. "Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all the tribes of the earth will wail on account of him" (Revelation 1:7). Jesus referred to this as well. "Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory" (Matthew 24:3 0).
Moreover, in verse 29, Jesus explains that His return will be accompanied by magnificent signs in the heavens. Christ will come as the King of kings and Lord of lords with many crowns on His head— crowns that represent absolute sovereignty. His eyes will be like blazing fire (Revelation 19:11-16).
Old Testament prophetic Scripture reveals that Jesus returns first to the mountain wilderness of Bozrah, where the Jewish remnant is endangered (Isaiah 34:1-7; 63:1-6; Habakkuk 3:3; Micah 2:12-13). They will not be endangered for long!
(ALL CORRECT BUT FOR THE LAST PARAGRAPH. JESUS DOES NOT RETURN TO BOZRAH. YOU CAN SEE THE VERSES GIVEN ABOVE BY RHODES AND MY TRUE EXPLANATION OF THEM AS I'VE GIVEN IN EXPOUNDING ALL THE PROPHETIC BOOKS OF THE BIBLE. JESUS COMES FROM THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN TO THE MOUNT OF OLIVES - 1 THES. 4 AND ZECH. 14.
YES, ALL NATIONS DURING THE DAY OF THE LORD SHALL EXPERIENCE THE WRATH OF GOD, BUT JESUS COMES FROM THE AIR AND CLOUDS OF EARTH TO THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, AS HE DESTROYS THE ARMIES AT THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON - Keith Hunt)
Phase 7: The Final Battle Erupts
At Jesus' second coming, He will confront the antichrist and his forces and slay them with the word of His mouth. The description of the second coming in the book of Revelation makes it clear that the enemies of Christ suffer instant defeat.
Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a name of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:11-16).
And so instant deliverance comes to the Jewish remnant. The antichrist and his forces are poised for attack against the remnant in the wilderness. The remnant has no chance of survival. The Jewish leaders urge the remnant to repent and turn to Jesus the Messiah. That is when the second coming of Christ occurs.

(NOT SO! THE ISRAELITES ARE IN ALL PARTS OF THE EARTH, ESPECIALLY THE BEAST POWER OF EUROPE, THE LAST RESURRECTION OF THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE. NO SPEAR-HEAD ATTACK ON SOME JEWS IN SOME ONE LOCATION AT ALL. ISRAELITES ARE DELIVERED FROM ALL PARTS OF THE EARTH BY JESUS WHEN HE COMES AGAIN, AND BROUGHT BACK TO THE HOLY LAND - THAT IS CLEARLY WHAT IS TAUGHT IN ISAIAH 11 - Keith Hunt)

Christ defeats all who stand against Israel. The antichrist will be slain. Habakkuk 3:13 prophesies of Christ's victory over the antichrist: "You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the house of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck." Likewise, in 2 Thessalonians 2:8 we read of the antichrist, "whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.''
The antichrist will be impotent and powerless in the face of the true Christ. All the forces of the antichrist will also be destroyed from Bozrah all the way back to Jerusalem (Joel3:12-13; Zechariah 14:12-15; Revelation 14:19-20). What a wondrous day that will be.

Phase 8: Christ Victoriously Ascends to the Mount of Olives
In the final phase of the campaign of Armageddon, Jesus Christ victoriously ascends to the Mount of Olives. We read about this in Zech-ariah 14:3-4.
Then the Lokd will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.
Then the seventh bowl judgment will be unleashed.
The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done!" And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe (Revelation 16:17-21).
Clearly, when Christ ascends to the Mount of Olives, some cataclysmic events will bring an end to the tribulation period.
An earthquake of globally staggering proportions (compare with Revelation 8:5 and 11:19). The whole earth will feel its effects. Mountains will be leveled. Islands will vanish. The topography of the earth will be drastically changed.
Jerusalem will be split into three areas.
The Mount of Olives will split into two parts, creating a valley.
There will be a horrific hail storm, and the sun and moon will be darkened (see Joel 3:14-16; Matthew 24:29).

As these terrible events subside, the tribulation period finally comes to a close. But judgments nevertheless remain on the horizon—the judgment of the nations (Matthew 25:31-46) and the judgment of Israel (Ezekiel 20). Both of these judgments precede Christ's millennial kingdom.
(WELL YES FOR SURE THERE WILL BE JUDGMENT ON NATIONS AND THE TRIBES OF ISRAEL BEFORE JESUS REIGNS IN JERUSALEM. AND JUDGMENT ON NATIONS IF THEY DO NOT OBEY GOD AFTER CHRIST HAS RETURNED - NOTE ZECH. 14 Keith Hunt)
