WE MUST BELIEVE
by Holly Mills
"Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the
resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the
resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he
were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth
in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" John 11:24-26)
As the world seems to be rapidly heading toward conflict in the
Middle East with Iran there is a feeling of uncertainty
developing in people's hearts. We have questions such as; where
is this going? How will this affect me or will it at all? Is this
going to further affect the economy? These questions all lead to
a feeling of uncertainty and we feel vulnerable as things are
really out of our control.
It is time that we make a full commitment in searching our hearts
to see why we have these feelings. We know we worship a wonderful
God who loves us and has promised us many things and we must
believe Him. Jesus told us to not be afraid but to believe, "As
soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the
ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe." Mark 5:36.
If we truly believe God and what He says we know that He will
watch over us and when we put our complete faith in Him, we
cannot be afraid. If we do not believe God and do not put our
complete faith in Him then we become afraid and feel uncertain.
We are no longer confident in God and who He says He is. We then
start to question everything, even His love for us and His
protection over us. This is when we must remember who Jesus is
and what He has done for us. He will never leave us or forsake
us. He died for us so that we might live. His Resurrection gave
us life. He is our covering. He is our righteousness. "In his
days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and
this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR
RIGHTEOUSNESS." (Jer.23:6).
Fear gets us off track and makes us doubt our righteousness in
Jesus Christ. This fear then makes us want to find things to do
to put us back on track but it is not things we need to find but
belief in Jesus, He is our righteousness. "0 my God, incline
thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations,
and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present
our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for
thy great mercies." (Dan.9:17-19). "For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).
We must believe in our hearts and not just our minds that Jesus
is who He says He is. Jesus said, "0 fools, and slow of heart to
believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to
have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory." (Luke
24:25 -26).
We must believe with our whole heart and take seriously all that
the prophets of old have said and all that has already happened.
We are not living in a world that is totally out of control. God
is in control. We should be living our lives filled with great
expectation for all that God is doing and all that is about to
come. If we have our hearts and with belief in Jesus Christ as
our Saviour and Redeemer we have no fear of the things to come.
We are covered by the blood of the Lamb and His Resurrection
gives us life eternal with Him. We must fill our hearts with
belie: so that there is no room for fear.
"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his
God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving,
and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and
sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in
the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the
second death." (Rev.21:7-8).

Note:
To inherit ALL THINGS is really not understood by the majority of
Christians. Your Bible tells you that YOU can become a very son
of the Fathedr in heaven. Christians talk about being a son of
God, but very few have ever stopped to study God's word to come
to understand what that really means.
I have a study on my website that will show you what the Holy
Scriptures teach about being a son of God. The study is called "A
Christian's Destiny." You need to study that study and come to
know the AWESOME inheritance that can be yours.
