It's not a new thing, some in the past, with whatever....have tried to say Jesus was married.
Now some scrap of papryus dated about the 4th century A.D. is said to contain the words "my wife."
Many "scholars" are skeptical, for many reasons I've just been reading.
Nevertheless, it does not matter what modern scholars think; there has always been crazy writing dated in the first centuries A.D. about Christ, or Christianity. There has always been "nutty guys or gals" out there that have taught all kinds of strange theology, down through the centuries.
And to have a woman disciple....well that is plainly in the New Testament gospels. There was, shocking to many, women that followed Jesus during His 3 and 1/2 year ministry. Yes it it recorded in the Gospels. And the women at His death and entombment were being more loyal to Him than were His chosen 12, who had run off and figured it was all over. Yes a close reading of the end of the Gospels makes that very clear..... some women were very loyal and still emotionally in tune with what Jesus had gone through. They were even going to anoint His body, on that Sunday morning, not even having a clue who of how the massive stone was going to be moved away from the entrance of the tomb. It would seem they just had faith that somehow with someone they were going to get inside the tomb.
And to the shock of some men, who did Jesus first appear to? Was it ANY of His men disciples? Well shock again, no, it was to women.
Women were a large part of Jesus' life. He talked to a Samaritan woman at the well, and just about blew the socks off His disciples in so doing. For Jews to have anything to do with Samaritans was ... well they just did not, and Jesus to talk not only to a Samaritan but a Samaritan woman. Well Jesus had to do a LOT of RE-EDUCATING people on many things during his ministry.
Yes of course Jesus liked women, I guess so, for Jesus was the one who created ALL THINGS in the physical and spiritual universe. I prove that in studies on my website. AND another shock to some, women liked Jesus, you bet they did, and many women were following Him around all through His ministry. I guess, a bunch of men would need the help of women, to look after them, as women are so good at doing for men.
BUT JESUS WAS GOD IN THE FLESH. HE DID NOT COME AS A PHYSICAL HUMAN BEING TO GET MARRIED......HE CAME TO TEACH THE GOSPEL, TEACH THE TRUTHS OF GOD THE FATHER WHO SENT HIM, AND TO DIE FOR THE SINS OF EVERY PERSON WHO HAS EVER LIVED OR WILL LIVE.
JESUS AS THE GOD OF THE OLD TESTAMENT DID MARRY ISREAL...BUT AGAIN THAT WAS A SPIRITUAL, EMOTIONAL MARRIAGE.
OH YES HE DID HAVE A WIFE....BUT NOT THE WAY SOME WANT TO THINK OR TEACH. THE CHURCH HE FOUNDED WAS HIS WIFE, WELL MORE CORRECTLY HIS BRIDE, WHO WILL SPIRITUALLY MARRY CHRIST ON HIS RETURN - SEE REVELATION 19.
NO JESUS NEVER MARRIED IN THE PHYSICAL WAY THAT HUMAN PEOPLE DO, AND THAT IS THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER, NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE SAY OR WRITE AT ANY TIME IN HISTORY.
