No not the literal sun and moon in our solar system - they will be there till the new heaven and new earth come into being as promised in Revelation 21, and other Bible Scriptures.
I am referring to the guy known as Moon..... the religious cult leader, of the 1970s and whose followers became know as Moonies.
Like all vain cult leaders he supposedly had word from God to establish the Kingdom of heaven upon the earth.... he was vain enough to think he was going to convert the world to his religion and bring peace on earth.
Well Moon man is no more, at 92 he's bit the dust and will return to the dust from which he was made (as we all will, unless we are alive at Christ's return).
Like many other cult leaders of the 1970s (including Herbert W. Armstrong) he grew fatly rich, material wise, living like a king. He brain-washed thousands. Today in the Western world his cult has few followers, but in other parts like South Korea there are still thousands of Moonies.
Moon and others all make the same mistake, they think they have a "special" calling from God, an inside track, a direct phone line to the eternal God. Their religious empires usually all fall with in-fighting and divisions - so it is with the Moonies today. Now there can be exceptions and the biggest exception is the Papacy, but that topic is a huge issue all by itself, which I've covered on my website in some detail.
When people tell you they have a special calling from God, a special revelation, a special something to set up for God on earth, you better see the RED FLAGS flying!! Now John the Baptist had a special calling ( he was to be the first of the two fulfillments of the Elijah prophecy of Malachi) but when asked he just humbly said he was one crying in the wilderness, to see sin, to repent of sin, and to serve the Eternal One.
It's a blessing that the old cult leaders have bit the dust. Maybe more dust can now settle, and people can be free to see the truth of the matter - the truths in the word of God.
And for you to know who speaks the truth of the Lord, you better be reading your Bible, from Genesis to Revelation - you need to search the Scriptures as the Bareans did when Paul preached to them (that's found in the book of Acts).
You need to do as Paul instructed "Prove all things and hold fast to that which is good."
If you will HUNGER and THIRST after RIGHTEOUSNESS, JESUS SAID YOU WOULD BE FILLED!!
BUT YOU MUST WANT IT - SEEK IT LIKE SEEKING A LOST PEAR.
THE TRUTHS OF THE LORD ARE GOING FORTH TO THIS WORLD. FALSEHOOD AND DECEPTIONS ARE BEING SHOWN.
JESUS SAID BEFORE HE COMES AGAIN DECEPTIONS WOULD BE SO GREAT THAT ***IF*** IT WAS POSSIBLE EVEN THE ELECT WOULD BE DECEIVED (Matthew 24 for that truth).
But the elect cannot be deceived for they love the truth, they seek the truth, they study (not just read) the Bible; they are willing to be corrected, to acknowledge what sin is, to repent of sin, to be converted to the will and ways of the Eternal God. They will not turn their mind over to some man, who does the thinking for them, or interprets the Bible for them, while they sail along never questioning or studying for themselves, never checking up on what they hear.
The true saints of the Lord have an open mind .... but not so open that their brains fall out!
Moon is gone, so is Herbert Armstrong, so is David Korish, so are many others that brought deceptions to others over the past decades..... soon it will be Billy Graham's turn to bite the dust, a man that had no trouble proclaiming to the world he did not come to preach "doctrines"of the Bible - too bad to his shame, for all the original apostles preached the doctrines of the Lord, it is part and parcel of teaching the Bible.
As Paul once said, "There was a time when God winked at all this, but NOW He calls all persons to REPENTANCE." That is also found in the book of Acts.
MOON like others was probably just deceived, blinded by Satan and their own ego. One day they most likely will come up in the second resurrection and be faced with the real truth of the matter, and so have a chance to repent and admit they should have been farmers and not teachers of God's word.
YOU CAN KNOW THE TRUTHS OF THE BIBLE, AND IN SO KNOWING YOU WILL INDEED BE SET FREE!!!
