On 9/11 many planes with a total of 7,000 people had to land in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. This was the population of Gander itself.
The Gander people showed unlimited kindness, love, friendship, by taking in the USA people, in their homes etc. They provided food and beds and total friendship - unlimited love and friendship. Ten years later that friendship continues, between both the USA and Canadian people.
Yes, should not be a surprise, we are brother peoples, and the people of Newfoundland are by nature a down to earth friendly people.
The Canadian CBC have made a film on the Gander friendship, it goes on Canadian TV this coming Sunday (9/11) evening.
