Pat Robertson - Alzheimer's disease and Divorce

Well according to Pat (the 50 year ordained Baptist minister) Robertson, it's okay to divorce and get on with your life, if your mate gets Alzheimer's disease, so it was announced on the news today - September 15th 2011.

Now, indeed divorce is, according to the NT and to Jesus, allowed at times. But for Alzheimer's? Nope do not think so.....now that is from Keith Hunt (30 year ordained minister).

Why would a loving couple....with decades maybe of marriage (usually Alzheimer's is in your old age) NOT want to stay together till the death of the one with Alzheimer's. It blows me away to think someone would just divorce and get on with life (which I take that to mean look for another partner in marriage) because Alzheimer's has taken hold of your mate. Surely you would want to be with them, take care of them, even if they got to NOT know who YOU were. Come on, YOU know who THEY are!!

No, like many things, this Baptist minister Pat Robertson, has got it WRONG! Just like they have (the Baptists that is) a lot of things wrong in theology!!
