The GREAT WARRIOR Queen!!

Most in North America have probably never heard of Queen Boudicca, she lived in the first part of the first century AD. She became Queen of the tribe of the Iceni, just one of the any British tribes, who tended to fight among themselves,  until the Romans arrived; but even then they never came under one banner and leader, to do battle with the barbarian Romans. If they could have united as one people the Romans would have been driven from England. Yes in many way it was the Romans who were the barbarians of the world, taking slaves and having many of them die in their killing games, that they looked upon as we might look upon the Super Bowl, or the world Soccer Cup, or the Hockey Stanley Cup. They were often led by mad-dog Emperors, some mentally insane.

The Romans came into Britain under Claudius followed by the mad Nero his son.

They in their vain proudness of conceited hunger for power, wanted more than just a nice peace treaty with the British, they not only demanded taxes and physical good but also slaves, which the British knew many would be fed to the lions or made to fight the Gladiators for Roman sport.

Among all this arose the iron lady, way before Margaret Thacher - Queen Boudicca of the Iceni tribe.

In trying to secure release of prisoners (women and girls included) she was put to the whip and her daughters raped in front of her eyes, by the mad-dogs of Rome.

She and her daughters returned home and welded together with a few other tribes (but not all of them) a mighty army to fight the vain world conquerers - Rome.  She and her army won many a battle against the Romans. She stood to inspire the British tribes, before she led them into battle. The British had chariots which the Romans had not encountered in Europe (showing the British were far from simple savages - you need skilled men to build battle chariots and trained horses ready for battle). The British had cavalry with fierce horses of war. They were skilled with the sword, and had bravery beyond dispute, even the Romans admired their bravery, and their willingness to die for the land they claimed was theirs and not the Romans. They were famous for the chariots with sword scythes protruding from
the wheels of the chariot to cut down enemy soldiers or cavalry. In the movie I'm going to tell you about they could not put the scythes on the chariots for natural reasons in the battle scenes (would have been way too serious to have cause injury).

Ancient history, ancient British and Roman history has recorded it all. Certainly the Roman historian Tacitus who lived at the same time, recorded it in detail. Alas his books are very hard to come by, few Libraries now have them. I was in the 1960s able to find his books in the Public Libraries very easily. not so any more.  His words about the British leaders and some of their speeches, are inspiring indeed, and detailed.

Boudicca was one of Britains most famous leaders in war against the powerful and blood-thirsty Roman Empire that was as Daniel in the Bible declared "iron" - strong like iron but lacked any real soul of flesh (gold as in the Babylon Empire) but did show it sometimes.

BBC have produced an extremely good movie on the life of this British War Queen Boudicca (played extremely well by Alex Kingston).

On the back of the DVD box in part is: "....when Emperor Claudius dies, the Romans and the new Emperor Nero no longer tolerate the Iceni way of life and endeavor to crush the upstart Queen Boudicca. and her tribe. However they have underestimated the Celtic spirit and, seeking revenge Bouidicca leads her people against the mighty Romans with devastating effect."

Not all the true history is given, but enough to show the will and spirit of the British as it was from that time forth even to WW1 and WW2 of the 20th century.

Boudicca was looked upon in British history as being worthy of her own statue in her chariot, which stands in London to this day, along with statues of Nelson, Drake, Wellington, and Churchill.

In her last battle with the Romans when she knew it was lost, she took her own life, because she knew what the barbarous Romans would do to her.

A little later there arose a British general that was even greater than Boudicca, the Romans called him "Caracticus" and he fought the Romans for 7 long years, winning many a battle against them, Being betrayed by one of his own countrymen, he was taken captive, him and his wife, and children, in chains to Rome. His speech was so noble, and his reputation among all Romans was so admired and feared, it was one of the very few times a Roman enemy was granted his life, he and his whole family, on condition they stay in Rome for 7 years and he would never fight against the Romans again. To which he agreed and never broke his promise (to British shame they have never built a statue in his honor).

But others took his place in fighting Rome. The truth of the matter is that Rome NEVER DID CONQUER Britain, they occupied the land to the Scottish border but British life went on as before. The Romans never really occupied Wales either. The Scotland, the Picts and Scots were so fierce in fighting General Adrian of Rome built a wall all the way across England to keep the Picts and Scots coming down and driving the Romans from the land of Britain. A recent movie called "The Eagle" is about a large legion of Roman soldiers going into Scotland, and never being heard from again, tens of thousands of Roman soldiers disappeared from the history books.

Ancient true history is being re-written, and truths are coming out which have been ignored in the past. What many in the past taught as "so-called" history was really lies, half-truths, and just was not taught as it really was in fact.

You might be able to purchase this movie from Amazon.com

I got it from the BBC Canada. I got it though a BBC magazine that comes about once every two months to me.

For you who want the truth of the matter on this part of British history - you need this DVD.
It is 18a category, certainly not for children.

Finally true history is coming into the day light - false teaching with false history for so long a time is being demolished.

My website (keithhunt.com) contains much true history under the section "Ancient History and Israel History" and more will be added as time allows.
