SO I'M TOLD VIA THE NEWS this fellow Doc Watson at 89 died....some Blue Grass singer/picker.
Well sorry but NEVER HEARD of the guy.
He got some "Life time award"
I doubt the rest of the world ever heard of him, unless into Blue-grass music.
Now two people the WHOLE world did KNOW was Slim Whitman and Connie Francis.
Now if ANYONE deserved "Lifetime awards" it's those two singers, but do they have them, never heard they have (though many other awards they have).
WHEN they die, will they make the news......thinking I doubt it very much, but such is the crazy music world of the USA. Some guy unknown out of the world of Blue-grass in the USA, gets in the news, and two people THE WORLD knew and loved will most likely not be mentioned when they die.
Only in the USA as they say.
Oh as you gather ain't into into Bluegrass, well a song or two, but after that it all sounds the same over and over and over and more over.
