THE MANY TEACHINGS OF JESUS #4

YOU  SHALL  NOT  HAVE  GONE  OVER  THE  CITIES  OF  ISRAEL,  TILL  THE  SON  OF  MAN  BE  COME

SPOKEN  BY  JESUS  IN  MATHEW  10:23.

A  LITTLE  STRANGE  IF  WE  ARE  TALKING  ABOUT  THE  VERY  SMALL  LITERAL  PLACE  OF  THE  "HOLY  LAND"  -  SEE  IT  ON  A  WORLD  ATLAS  GLOBE  -  THE  PLACE  IS  TINY!!

Even  if  you  want  to  say  Jesus  was  meaning  one  generation  after  another,  say  about  every  70  years,  it  still  would  not  take  you  70  years  to  get  the  Gospel  to  all  towns  in  the  Jewish  State  of  Israel.

The  words  by  Jesus  hardly  make  sense  UNLESS  you  know  the  full  background  of  the  FULL  Israel.

Read Genesis, note the promises God gave; note the last chapters--- 48 and 49.

There  were  12  tribes  that  came  out  of  Egypt  under  Moses  -  the  12  tribes  of  Israel.  It  was  Jacob  who  had  his  name  changed  to  Israel.  There  was  12  tribes  that  made  up  the  people  of  "Israel"  -  read carefully  from  Genesis  12  to  the  end  of  the  book.  Note  all  the  prophecies  concerning  the  12  tribes,  especially  Joseph  and  his  two  sons  Ephriam  and  Manesseh.

After  the  death  of  Solomon  the  13  tribes [Joseph  became  Ephraim  and  Manasseh]  SPLIT  -  Judah,  with  Benjamin  and  Levi  formed  the  House  Of  Judah  -  the  other  10  tribes  became  the  House  of  Israel.

The  House  of  Israel was  finally  taken  captive  by  the  Assyrian  empire  -  they  were  transported  to  the  Assyrian  land.  The  MAJORITY  never  returned  -  they  finally  went  NORTH  AND  WEST.  They  lost  their  identity  over  the  generations.  In  different  groups  they  came  through  Europe;  they  eventually  settled  most  of  North-west  Europe,  and  the  British  isles.  Many  Manassehites  settled  the  new  world  of  America.  The  two  brothers  formed  a  nation  and  company  of  nations;  they  inherited  the  wealth  of  the  world  as  no  other  nations  ever  did.  They  became  the  greatest  brother  peoples  in  world  with power  and  wealth,  that  ever  existed.

They  have  towns  and  cities  in  all  their  combined  lands  that  are  in  the  HUNDREDS;  nay  in  the  THOUSANDS!

If  you  want  to  look  at  say  "generation"  as  of  70  years,  you  would  hardly  cover  the  towns  and  cities  and  villages,  with  the  Gospel  in  70  years,  every  70  years  following  each  other.

NOW  the  words  of  Jesus'  prophecy  really  starts  to  make  more  sense.

Truly  as  He  said  to  His  disciples .....  "YOU  WILL  NOT  HAVE  GONE  OVER  THE  CITIES  OF  ISRAEL  TILL  THE  SON  OF  MAN  BE  COME!"
