THE JEALOUS GOD

Ex. 20:5. "I the Lord your God am a jealous God. 7. The Lord will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain."

Ex. 34:14. "You shall worship no other gods; for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God."

Deut. 4:24. "The Lord your God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God."

Deut. 29:20. "The Lord will not spare him, but then the anger of the Lord and his jealousy shall smoke against that man."

Deut. 32:16. "They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods. 21. They have moved him to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities."

Josh. 24:19. "....for he is a holy God; he is a jealous God..."

2 Chr. 16:9. "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards him."

Isa. 30:1. "Woe to the rebellious children, says the Lord, that take counsel, but not by my spirit, that they may add sin to sin."

Isa. 31:1. "Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong: but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord."

Ezek. 23:25. "I will set my jealousy against you."

Ezek. 36:5. "Therefore thus says the Lord God; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen."

Ezek. 39:25. "Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name."

Joel 2:18. "Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people."

Nah. 1:2. "God is jealous, and the Lord revenges; the Lord revenges, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries."

Zech. 1:14. "Thus says the Lord of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy."

1 Cor. 10:22. "Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?"

INDEED GOD IS A JEALOUS GOD, IN THE PERFECT WAY. HE DOES NOT WANT TO BE ONE THING AMONG MANY THAT PEOPLE LOOK TO. HE IS THE ONLY GOD, AND WANTS OUR FULL DEVOTION TO HIM. AS JESUS IN THE GOSPELS SAID, "YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MAMMON."  

HE IS ALSO A JEALOUS GOD FOR ISRAEL AND JUDAH AND JERUSALEM......HE WILL YET HAVE THEM AS HIS OWN, FULLY HIS, AND BE THE RIGHTEOUS LIGHT TO THE WORLD. 

ALL OF THE TRUE PERFECT JEALOUSY OF THE LORD WILL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST YEARS OF THIS AGE, AND ON INTO THE AGE TO COME.

HE IS A JEALOUS GOD OVER HIS CHILDREN, AND WILL CORRECT AND CHASEN THEM WHEN NEEDED TO KEEP THEM AS HIS.
