So Romney is a MORMON!

Tonight they had a spot on CBC National News about .... well what difference does it mean that Romney is a Mormon, or as the Mormons like to call themselves, "The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter day Saints."

Now to call yourselves a Christian, to have Jesus Christ in your religion, does not automatically mean you truly follow Him. I mean all the Roman Catholics and Protestant churches, claim to have Jesus in their religion. Because you claim it does not make it so.

So the CBC showed us the sparkling city of Salt Lake City, the very clean streets, not one piece of litter was anywhere (yes I've been there many years ago, and yes it was physically a very clean city).

They showed us inside the Mormon "Tabernacle" and the dedicated practicing of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I was in there also, where you can hear a pin drop, pretty literally. Now as the CBC said, no one but a Mormon can enter the mighty Cathedral they have.

Oh yes, the CBC did mention a few of the "strange" teachings the Mormons have, and of course the "book of Mormon" that was supposed to have been delivered on plates of gold on some hillside. But many other churches have "strange" teachings and practices of religion - just take a look at the Roman Catholic church for fancy dress and this and that rite and marches up and down Cathedrals, WHILE SOUNDS ARE MADE IN ENGLISH OR LATIN, CHANTING THIS OR THAT.

The CBC took us inside a few Mormon families - they are noted for being strong family people, and today most Mormons have only one wife.

Now J.F.K. (President in the early 1960s before being assassinated) was a Roman Catholic. And no doubt other Presidents have been of this or that religious persuasion, some being more "no religion" than "religion."

It seems today the USA people mind-set is not really bothered about what "religion" a runner for President is, but more about who can get people back to work and the economy bounding along as it did before 2008.

But sticking to the side of "religion" that the Mormons hold.  Well the CBC showed us there is a "song and dance" show going on in Hollywood that takes a laugh at Mormonism.  Yes Mormons can appear very clean cut and family value types. They do hold as many other Christian sects do, that same sex marriage is wrong, as well as abortion on demand is wrong - so like others, a few truths they have.

But when it comes to push against pull, they have this "other book" (the Mormon book) that is held on a par with the Bible, and mighty fancy, flashy, "other world" story as to how they were given it.

Yes, I've studied enough of their religion to know a thing or two about them.

My first encounter with "Mormons" was when I was 19. I had been in Canada for one year. These two well-dressed (the old Sunday best clothes tradition) young men out on missionary work, came to my door. I had not a clue who they were and never heard of Mormons. I said they could come in, and it was not long before I knew they were "religious" - but they wanted to give emphasis to this "book of Mormon" and told me the story how they supposedly received it. Now that made me at once suspicious about their "Christian religion" being off the deep end and kinda wacko. They asked if I would read "the book of Mormon" - I said I would, and they wanted to come back in a couple of weeks. I said okay they could.

Yes I read this "other Bible" they gave me. And found it from planet Pluto (which is no longer a planet)  and "way out man" as they say. To me it read like a kind of "Alice in Wonderland" story.

They returned a few weeks later. We got into some "Bible" theology subjects. Ya they used the Bible. But I had them so mixed up and confused as they tried to uphold their teachings, using the Bible, which they obviously did not know or read very much.

Finally the "leader" of the two young men (oh about my age by the way) got really ANGRY; I mean he was red in the face with anger, stood up, shut his Bible with a thud, and as he and his buddy exited, he said, "The Bible is too hard to understand any way; that is why we have the book of Mormon." And as quickly as they could they disappeared into the sunset.

Oh yes, on a purely "theology" perspective, the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter day Saints, is a CULT!! Pure and simple!!

Then they are really no different than the Roman Catholic church and all the Protestant churches, who are also CULTS!

Theologically they are all in the same basket - they are basket cases we might say. Theologically nut cases, who have little true knowledge of the Bible, and practice Bible truths even less. They are all part and parcel of the Babylon Whore of religious confusion that the book of Revelation speaks about.

Yes TOUGH words - BLUNT words I'm using!  Laying it on the line for you!

Jesus said in the last days before His return, MANY FALSE prophets (and preachers) would come along, saying Jesus was the Christ, but as Jesus said, would DECEIVE THE MANY! Yes Jesus said that, the MANY, not the FEW, but the MANY, would be deceived. Why in Matthew 24 Jesus said that DECEPTION would be so GREAT, that IF it was possible even the very ELECT would be deceived.

SO WHERE ARE YOU?

ARE YOU STUDYING THE BIBLE - I MEAN STUDYING, MORE THAN JUST READING IT. ARE YOU SO SET IN YOUR MIND THAT YOU ARE SAYING TO YOURSELF "NO ONE IS GOING TO DECEIVE ME!" ARE YOU SAYING I'M GOING TO PROVE FROM GOD'S WORD WHO IS SPEAKING THE TRUTHS OF GOD. ARE YOU SETTING YOUR JAW TO DO BATTLE IN FINDING WHO SPEAKS THE TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD AND WHO DOES NOT.

AT SOME POINT (YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY DONE SO) YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO GET MAD ENOUGH (AS I DID AT AGE 19 AND INTO MY EARLY 20s)  TO ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVES, GET OUT THE BIBLE, AND MAYBE STRONG'S CONCORDANCE (which gives you every place a word is used in the KJV Bible) AND DO HOURS UPON HOURS UPON HOURS OF STUDY (as I did when a young man and then again when in my 40s learning even more light of truth) WHICH IS NOW ON THIS WEBSITE.

YOU NEED TO OPEN YOUR BIBLE AND SEE IF THE STUDIES ON THIS WEBSITE ARE IN HARMONY WITH THE BIBLE.
