WHY DO MEN CHEAT?

A very interesting recent documentary on cbc.ca/donzone was on the subject of "Why do men cheat?" - sexual exploits with other women other than their marriage partner.

Of course they took us back to the "male testosterone"  - about 10 times that found in women - hence a sex drive 10 times greater than the female.

Yes they told us about the fact that men are sexuality turned on more by sight....the lovely face, the lovely figure, the nice bum, the large breasts.

It was revealed that 75 percent of men said they would have sexual affairs, if they knew they were never going to be caught.

It was revealed that in decades past there was an unwritten code that men in "power"  could get away with extra marital affairs, for they had the money and fame to have it covered up, kept secret. Hence famous men like John F. Kennedy the President of the USA could get away with it.

So film stars, politicials, governors, bankers, sports stars, people with money, could pretty well do what they pleased when away from home, they had the power to  cover it all up.

They showed from time past, from the very beginning this has been the case....most men with normal testosterone - desire to have sex with more than one woman - it's kinds of in our nature to be this way. So most ride along with that nature.

We've had John F. Kennedy, Bill Clinton, others running for President, famous film starts. famous sports stars (like Tiger Woods and others). famous bankers, well known CEO of companies. People with prestige and money.....you know the proverbial "money can buy you anything" attitude.

There is the tendency for men as they get older to have this "conquest idea" - and when you have climbed the hill and planted your pole (excuse the pun) the conquest is over, and another has to be found. Its the male ego thing.

Then we were shown women like the rich and famous, fancy cars, big mansions, expensive restaurants, interesting people you meet; so they know what men like to see....the pretty well-figured women, with alluring sex appeal. To the man it is disconnected from the wife he loves and his children - it is a passing fling and forgotten about until  the situation gives him a chance to engage in another one night stand.

It was shown the male basically desires to have sex with MANY women - a thrill of the moment, then move on to the next thrill.

The women like the big money from these famous people, and the wine and dine and fancy life they can enjoy, as one lady said, who wants to go back to a crummy small apartment.

SO  POLYGAMY - having sex with more women than your wife (more making them all your wives) has been a desirable part of the male mind from the beginning. So much so that God had to allow polygamy under the Old Testament, as Jesus, said, "For the hardness of your hearts; but from the beginning it was not so......."

IN the beginning it was God's desire for one man and one woman  to marry till death them do them part; but Israel had a carnal nature, very few had God's holy Spirit .... see Number 11.

Under the NT that allowing  has been changed.  We are back to as God intended - monogamy -  marriage between a man and wife, and faithfulness sexualy within that marriage.

It was show that true as we men get older the testosterone level falls drastaclly, and the sex appetite  is no where near as strong.

But as one man said there is a part of the brain that can resist the younger male from sexual immorality. And power of wealthy men and famous men, who think sexual pleasure is a right they have for the taking. Jesus knew this truth, when he brought about a change in the sexual  appetite of the male. And sure tightened things up, when he made just looking at a women to lust after her constitutes sin.

And the same applies to women. Using their sexuality in strip bars and even more explicit sexual places, as just as much a sin as the man lusting in his heart after a woman.

The program showed that general society now looks down on promiscuous  men, especially those in high profile. It cost tens and tens of millions of dollars for Tiger Woods divorce, same for Mel Gibson, and for Arnold Sh. (Mr. Universe guy) and one time governor of California, and others celebrities also, including  sports guys. As one girl in the sex for hire said, "There are probably moral sports men, monogamous ones, but I have not met any."

OH yes they tried to show these unfaithful men needed to have the challenge and diversion from everyday monogamous marriage.  Well wives  are not by and large agreeing. Protests have now arisen in no uncertain ways, about the immorality of the wealthy, the famous, the political powerful people.

Now maybe surprisingly there is an outcry and a shaming by groups on the wealthy and famous and political leaders....who want to play around with sex outside their marriage.

It seems that the world in general will no longer tolerate these high profile men who want to be in high profile, but want to cheat on their wife; we have seen the reaction in society in the last number of years towards famous men cheating on their wife.....usually divorce and a falling from grace. When the world moves generally into more sin of various types, there is a move in society to look down upon and not accept men who cheat on their wife, especially if in the "famous" category.

GOD  DOES  IN  HIS  PROPHETIC  WORD,  IN  NO  UNCERTAIN  LANGUAGE,  CONDEMN  THE  ADULTERY  AND  IMMORAL  SEXUALITY  IN  THE WESTERN  WORLD.
