So it was/is 11th month, the 11th day, of the 11th year. As some have said only once in 100 years. Big Deal?
Well some would like to think so, they closed down the BIGEST Pyramid today in Egypt, thinking some would have "special ceremonies" in or on or around it I guess.
Some mothers/fathers to be had the "C" section to have their baby on the 11th minute of the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year. I guess they think their baby will be .... what .... blessed in some way ... well for sure we know this, the baby did not have a clue about it all.
Some got married at the 11the minute of the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year.
Hummm....I suppose you'll remember that, and have a special anniversary in another 100 years :-)
Anything special about this day? NOPE! Maybe as it was "Veterans Day" you might call it special. The day people remember especially all those killed in wars, or those who lost limbs or were disfigured by bombs and fires in wars. Yes maybe special if you remember there are 12 percent unemployed among veterans, and thousands homeless, with maybe thousands who have mental problems since the war they came back from. And of course the thousands with special body parts to replace the real ones that got blown off or had to be cut off because their limb cut not be saved.
A special day to certainly remember the HORRORS of the wars of the past 100 years.
And for those who believe in the Bible and all that is written therein, a special day to remember (as people remember the wars and those killed or injured in those wars) that we have a sure word of promise that one day there will be NO MORE wars, a day, an age, when nations will learn war no more; a day when there will be no hurt or destruction that come from wars, and from the violence on the streets of our towns and cities, and even in our country-side.
This day I will repeat to you that in the age to come, when Jesus will have returned to establish the Kingdom of God upon this earth, to rule all nations; when He will come to fight at the last battle of mankind destroying each other during the last 42 months of this age, when Jesus comes to destroy those who think they can make war against Him, at Megiddo - know as Armageddon - in Revelation 16. A day when the armies of the Europe Beast Babylon, with armies from the Eastern nations, to the east and north of the mighty Euphrates river, will combine forces to literally try and blow away the armies of heaven (Jesus leading them) and the resurrected saints. This day in that age to come will be replaced by maybe a day to remember no wars, only peace.
But that war at Armageddon, that war, that battle, will be no contest; Jesus will speak and those physical armies of mankind will melt away, and the blood will flow like a river down and outside of the city of Jerusalem - Zechariah 14.
It's all explained in my study on my website called "The Battle of Armageddon and the Age to Come."
The good news for this day of remembrance is that a day is to come when war and killing will not be remembered, it will all just be a distant memory, so distant that only news-reels will give people a remembrance of the wars of mankind. It's hard right now to think of such a time of no remembrance of wars on earth, as we have lived for thousands of years with wars and killings of all types.
But as sure as the rising of the sun, more sure in fact, is the time I tell you about in detail on my website, that an age to come is coming - the Kingdom of God will be established on this earth, and the very nature of the human and animal kingdoms will be CHANGED, to PEACE, and LOVE, and KINDNESS, and GIVING, and SERVICE; when the KNOWLEDGE of the Lord shall cover this earth as the waters cover the sea beds. When the WORD of the Lord, the COMMANDMENTS of God, will go forth from Zion, from Jerusalem; when nations will learn war no more!
Oh what a day that will be. So we continue to pray: "Thy Kingdom come, Thy WILL be done on earth, as it is in heaven."
