Protection .... always?

A REFUGE FROM THE STORM

COURTESY DESTINY

Editor's Comment. There is a storm coming, a massive storm, in fact, unprecedented. If you look at the growing natural disasters affecting our Israel lands, or the turmoil in the financial well being of Israel nations, you might say it has already begun. Yet, as the old expression goes, `you ain't seen nothing yet. " There is a safe haven and as Destiny declares in this article, it is the secret place of the most high. You know, over the many years of this magazine, including issues from our two previous names, we write articles warning of the disaster to come and yet some would say it is just crying wolf. Time, of course, will tell but this editor believes it is presently breaking out in full bloom and will be led by a major financial breakdown. On the cover of our August, 2011 issue, we depicted how the forty years from the date President Nixon cut the ties between the dollar and gold expired on August 15"`, 2011 and it is rather frightening to see the market turmoil since then. Nations are trying very hard to overcome the many desperate calls but it is still God who is in charge and long ago He set the course our Israel nations would travel. And events suggest we are running true to course. There seems very little time left for our personal ministries to reach out and reveal God's Message to our friends, family and fellow travelers.

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on thee: Because he trusteth in thee," (Isaiah 26: 3)

Contemplate for a moment the blessing of perfect tranquility amid scenes of turmoil and strife in a world torn by dissension and war. This is the Divine pledge to those who remain steadfast in their faith and maintain their confidence in the certainty of the covenant promises of God. Even though circumstances and surroundings seemingly repudiate the Divine assurances, those who fully trust the Lord know they can rely upon Him. They are willing, therefore, to exercise patience in waiting, knowing that in His own time all will come to pass as foretold. Everyone who has placed his trust in all that the Lord has declared can say with the prophet: "For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall" (Isa. 25:4). Smith and Good-speed translate the last sentence: "When the breath of the ruthless is like a storm in winter."

This is a time in human history that tests the quality of the faith of those who profess to believe in the ultimate triumph of the Divine purpose. A ruthless nation is preparing for war of such magnitude and destructiveness that, except for Divine intervention, total disaster will engulf all peoples. Shelter from the fiery blast of sudden atomic attack is imperative, yet men of science can give no guarantee of safety from its dire effects.

But God has promised His people: "No weapon that is formed against thee shall pros per; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn" (Isa. 54:17). This follows the declaration that the enemy will surely gather his forces against God's people. Nevertheless, the Lord states: "In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee" (Isa. 54:14).

It shall not come near thee! What blessed assurance this is, supporting the testimony of the Psalmist: "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee" (Ps. 91:5-7). The Psalmist goes on to show that it is the privilege of those of whom he is speaking to merely observe the scenes of demolition as the old age ends, but not to have any part in their destruction: "Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked" (Ps. 91:8).

(There is one major problem with quoting such verses. How you thought it through and have you discovered what the problem is?
The writer is putting it in such a way that most are going to say ALL true Christians will be safe from the horrors to come on this earth at the end time. What is forgotten is that this has just about never happened in past history. There have in all ages been those who have had to give their lives for the truth of God. The verses quoted are "general" statements only. And with "general" comes the "exceptions." I have shown you on my website going through the book of Revelation that SOME true Christians will be killed at the time of the end - the last 42 months of this age.
The GREAT trouble ahead for this planet, will be like other past great troubles - some true Christians will be killed by the mighty Beast Babylon of Europe. Now it is true that those killed will have safety, for as Jesus said they can kill the flesh but not your spirit and the resurrection you will have. I also have a study on "General Statements" on my website, this, if you have not done so, is a very important study to read; it will bring out the truth that the Bible is full of "general" statements - Keith Hunt)

But this shelter from the storm that will blanket the landscape like the raging blasts of a winter tempest is not discovered by those who do not put their faith in God. Nor will it be found by those who are not willing to obey the Lord's righteous commandments. How foolish a man would be, who recognized the coming of winter, with its icy winds and sub-zero temperatures, but refused to prepare a home as a shelter for his family against the killing cold. Yet, he would be no more foolhardy than millions are today who, seeing the gathering storm of World War 111, ignore the necessity to make spiritual preparations against the coming holocaust from which there will be no physical place to hide.

(The author is again wrong in stating there will be no physical place to hide from the coming end time troubles. God has given us His word of promise in Revelation 12, that part of the true church of God, will find protection from the enemy, in the wilderness. Again I refer you to my expounding of the book of Revelation on my website - Keith Hunt)

When atomic fires begin to burn, the only secure place of refuge will be that which is experienced by complying with the conditions that will bring about the fulfillment of the Psalmist's declaration: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust" (Ps. 91:1-2). Those who claim this place of refuge through Jesus Christ, their Saviour, will have no fear when the breath of the ruthless ones descends like a storm to destroy. The protecting shadow of the Almighty will be their shield and they will escape to take their place in the new order of righteousness where they will see the establishment of perfect peace.
..........

It is written some will be protected but some will also need to die, as a witness gainst the falseness of Babylon Mystery Religion, at the time of the very end. If you are among the ones that must stand up and then be silenced, you will be in good company for so it was for people like Paul and Peter and many others down through the centuries. So either way life or death, you will have peace and safety in the Lord.
