Syria / Gay teens

Now more soldiers with guns are defecting from the side of the dictator of Syria. Hence moving towards a real civil war. The Arab League at present does not want any military intervention from the West or any "no fly zone" - the economic sanctions going to come into effect will really have serious pressure on this another mad-dog in the Arab world.

Tonight on CBC they had a 10 minute new item on the serious situation taking place in the teens (probably of any "western" nation) who bully and torment and etc. those who among the teens come out and say they are homosexual or lesbian - "gay" as they want to use this word for them.

It's time for me to talk a little about this subject, The Bible is very clear that "practicing"same sex sex, is SIN! But the Bible is also clear that going out and just having sex with anyone of the opposite sex other than your wife or husband. No need to go into the same sex stuff as "Well I'm born that way" - it does not matter on that side of the equation. Some men (oh and women also) have a mighty pulling desire to have sex with many others of the opposite sex. The President John F. Kennedy had this problem sin. He just had to have sex with other women besides his wife. This is all common knowledge now. One time one of his White House "lady nanny" type staff said to him, when he was going to go out and have sex with a certain lady, "Mr. Kennedy, you are the President of the United States, you should not be doing this kind of thing." His answer to her was., "I just cannot help it, I just have to."

So some people have to "fight" or they should fight, a certain weakness in their character or being as a human person. You may "want" to have sex with others other than your wife or husband, the notion may be there, the sin lies at the door, but as James was inspired to tell you, if we dwell on it, let it fester, in our minds, then SIN comes forth - James 1:13-15.

It is the PRACTICING gay person that is condemned to death in the Bible. Certainly the gay person must not dwell with lust for another person of the same sex, that also under the New Covenant would also be sin. But having to put down, subdue, put under, your sexual appetite for someone of the same sex is not sin in and of itself. It is something you just have to put down and keep under control, as JFK should have put down and subdued his appetite to have sex with other women other than his wife.

From this perspective, the true perspective of the word of God, there should be knowledge then that should put away all bullying and name-calling and all the other things that teens do and say to or about the gay teen. Name calling for the weakness of someone in whatever area is not what God wants from  us. We are all sinner in one way or another. We each have our different weakness of sins or especially perhaps a certain sin, that we must fight against, put-down, subdue.

As Christian parents we need to teach our children the truth of this matter, the truth as I have just given to you.

It is sad that we as Western nations in throwing the word of God out the window, the part result (there are many bad results) is that we have far too many teens who are led to feel it is the right thing to do - call names,  speak ill of, bully, make fun of, other teens that are different from themselves.
