"Give me a break" back on 20/20

ABC 20/20 has put back on its Friday evening program "give me a break" and the first one to hit the screen was the great pension deal those in Congress get, at age 62 not having to wait till they are 65, and it goes till they die. When the talk from the same people is "tighten your belt" they are not it seems very swift to tighten their belts. Well 20/20 have done some kicking up of the dust on revamping this pension, which just one fellow (now 80 years old) has been trying to get revamped for 28 years. Supposedly there will be a move in January to change things........don't hold your breath for an early or easy change for these congress people, the rich still look after themselves even while the average person goes down. Once more it shows the madness of Government in the light of average person recession.

Oh the USA did create 80, 000  jobs in the last month - but in such a large population country it translates into the unemployment mark as 9.0 instead of 9.1. Millions still looking for work .... so much for a trillion dollar stimulus package.

Canada on the other hand LOST 50, 000 jobs last month ..... so they are finally saying Canada is at last feeling the Western world recession ..... many of all ages now having troubles trying to find a job.

Greece - the soap opera continues ..... the Prime Minister narrowly win a vote of confidence, but a new coalition Government may not be led by him. They are now openly saying this George guy Prime Minister is a pretty cagey fellow, not many knowing what his plans might be ... as they say time will tell.

The G20 (who have just finished meeting in France) has supposedly got a plan to equal out the world's economy, but for now they are closed lipped, nothing is being told to anyone what that plan is.

Italy has enough problems, but now you can add to them major flooding in a certain area, which will cost whatever to clean up and rebuild etc.

It look like 2012 will be an interesting economical world that we shall be entering.......oh well we can get  our minds off it for a while during the London summer Olympics, unless the terrorists manage to blow some of that up in smoke.

And talking of blow ups - there was a 27 car pile up on Britain's M5 south-west section - some killed and many injured. The worst multi-crash in decades.

China rescues coal miners, and that is good news as it has a terrible record in mining - thousands killed each year in that industry.

The saga of the trail over Michael Jackson's death is now in the hands of the jury, and when you hear this and that about it all, I do not envy the decision they have to arrive at. but what is coming to light is, sad to say, like other super-star (Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and others) he was hooked on all kinds of prescription drugs, and whatever is out there to help you sleep. each of those three had their reasons to use drugs to get some mental peace of mind, from the past, and the present stress, and their individual foibles, that then led them to even more drugs of one type or another.

I'm feel so blessed that my two childhood heros were sincere Christian men - Roy Rogers and Slim Whitman,  and my favorite lady singer Connie Francis, were all good decent well-behaved individuals, where no "dirt" could ever be raised against them - they were excellent role models. Sorry to say but today the CRAPY people that are out there as being famous and hence role models for the young....well most are the pits and anything but to look up to or try to emulate. And to think that tens of thousands of our youth practically worship at their feet also blows me away. But such is the degeneration of the morals of this world.
