CONCERNING DR. MERCOLA!!

Mr. Hunt,

Should I REALLY do as Mercola says in avoiding wheat, spelt, and pasteurized cow's milk, even if it's organic?  Seems pretty extreme.

WHILE I THINK DR. MERCOLA HAS MANY FINE THINGS TO SAY, AND TEACH, AND SOME FINE VIDEOS
AT TIMES ON HIS WEBSITE AND DAILY NEWS, I DO NOT AGREE WITH HIM ON EVERYTHING HE MAY SAY OR TEACH.

HENCE I DISAGREE WITH HIM ON WHEAT AND THE OTHER THINGS YOU MENTION, FOR THE AVERAGE PERSON: OF COURSE THERE ARE INDIVIDUALS WHOSE BODY [FOR WHATEVER REASON] CAN NOT TOLERATE SAY....WHEAT.

SO FOR THE NORAML AVERAGE PERSON ALL THAT IS ON MY WEBSITE UNDER "HEALTH LAWS" SHOULD BE FOLLOWED.

TO PUT IT ANOTHER WAY....... THE BEST GUY TO FOLLOW ON HEALTHY EATING FOR THE AVERAGE PERSON [TOGETHER WITH GOD'S FOOD LAWS] IS THE .... YES MENTIONED HIM BEFORE .... THE LATE "HEALTH AND STRENGTH" MAN.........CHARLES ATLAS.

YOU CAN STILL BUY HIS COURSE FOR ABOUT $50.  JUST TYPE IN "CHARLES ATLAS" ON YOUR WEB SEARCHER, AND YOU'LL FIND HIS WEBSITE.

TO BE FRANK AND HONEST DR. MERCOLA AS FAR AS ***LOOKS*** GO, JUST DOES NOT LOOK THAT HEALTHY TO ME.......AND MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE HE HAS SOME "STRANGE" IDEAS AS TO WHAT YOU SHOULD ***NOT*** BE EATING.

NOW GIVING YOU AN EXAMPLE.......GO TO MY FACEBOOK AND TAKE A LOOK AT ME, THE LAST ONES OF ME, I'M NOW 71 YEARS OLD. 

I LOOK AND ACT [THE THINGS I CAN STILL DO FROM FOLLOWING THE CHARLES ATLAS COURSE SINCE I WAS 14 YEARS OLD, TOGETHER WITH FOLLOWING GOD'S CLEAN AND UN-CLEAN FOOD LAWS],  20 YEARS YOUNGER THAN MY BIRTH AGE.

THANKS FOR BRINGING YOUR QUESTION. THERE IS A LOT OF GOOD THAT COMES FROM DR. MERCOLA, BUT HE IS ***WRONG*** ON SOME THINGS......HE'S PROBABLY NEVER TAKEN THE CHARLES ATLAS COURSE :-)

    For a long time I disagreed with Mercola also, on somethings I still do ... HOWEVER, Having a fatal illness called Huntington's Disease (HD), I have done EXTENSIVE research on the diets effects on neurodegenerative illnesses. This applies to HD, Alzheimer's. Parkinson;s, etc. Even epilepsy can be worsened and delayed by proper diet. I know for a fact that too much research shows that WHEAT/BREADS WORSENS these and brings them on faster (check your latest research)

    So good-bye honey bubs, cinnamon rolls etc. that I loved so dearly. :(

    I am not on any of his diets I am on a creation of my own incorporating antioxidant food, noninflammatory foods (this also overrules wheat, corn, starches, sugars. etc.) many things I have learned one the years. This flies in the face of diets recommended by org like the HDSA, etc. My father died 5 years too early do to following those diets. I am TWELVE YEARS after the diagnoses ad my IQ is 99% of my original 147. To my specialist amazement, I am still in the first stage jf HD. I was SUPPOSED to be in the nursing home like my father was 12 after his diagnoses. So 20 years digging, finding, reading and understanding scientific and medical studies has been somewhat therapy for me.

    I have gone from 9 different meds 20 years ago (in my cinnamon roll days) for everything from BP to hypertriglycemia to sever pains in joints to ZERO meds. I have HD, am over 60 years old and ALL my numbers are perfect. My weight 85 lbs less, back to what I was in my highest physical condition (high school) at 160 lbs.

    Hope this can be an inspiration to someone :)
    But, STAY AWAY FROM GRAINS, SUGARY CARBS, CORN, FRUCTOSE if you want to keep a sharp mind.

    1. IF ALL IS NORMAL WITH YOU, THEN AS GOD CREATED AND INTENDED, WHEAT, BARLEY, AND OTHER GRAINS, WERE CREATED TO BE EATEN; LIKE ALL THINGS IN MODERATION. ANCIENT ISRAEL HAD A BARLEY AND WHEAT HARVEST. BARLEY IS EVEN BETTER THAN WHEAT, IT WAS THE FIRST HARVEST IN ISRAEL. A NORMAL HEALTHY PERSON EATING ORGANIC WHEAT AND BARLEY WILL HAVE HEALTH AND STRENGTH FROM THOSE GRAINS. INDEED IF YOUR NOT IN NORMAL HEALTH AS GOD INTENDED, YOU MAY WELL HAVE TO CUT OUT WHEAT, BARLEY AND OTHER GRAINS.
