Interesting and a lot more!!

First off:

I've known it for decades but the Canadian TV "MarketPlace" program has proved it really without question.

The modern REGULAR cars - so what most of us drive - are made to take "regular" gas..... the USA Government tells people so, and the Canadian "MarketPlace" - A consumer investigative program, has proved it.

The cars most of us drive DO NOT do any better in ANY test given to it no matter if you put in regular gas or "premium" gas. The advertisements by the big oil companies on TV, the false ideas often told you by the Gas Station owners.....they are all a bunch of crock....

While eating supper this evening I tuned in to the BBC TV news.  What an interesting program.

It was on "people in Africa" and the better way of living. People in villages away from modern civilization shall we say, are getting solar lights instead of the dirty fuel lights they have been using for decades, and not only no pollution but saves a lot, a lot, of money, that for them is hard to come by.

Then you have a company or a better way to put it is "organization" that has a goal to give a lap-top computer to every person in Africa, especially again in the villages away from the cities. The case is plastic, sturdy, nothing looking like the lap-tops we have in the Western world, but you open it up and there it is....an Internet (hooked up to a local school's system) and an education tool that is all the features of a tap-top for in school and out of school.

Well good on the organization behind this effort. The remote children in villages off the beaten-track in Africa can have access to the Internet for education.....well that is the goal, every child in Africa having a lap-top computer.

The third part of this BBC program was on this "nobody knows him" guy who has with modern space-age science given a simple and 100 percent science way to take dirty water and within seconds make it pure to drink, I mean as pure as the water that comes out of the tap in your home in the Western world, maybe even purer. Science has proven what is the size of the smallest "not good for you" particle;  the man has produced what looks like white wires, but they are hollow, with holes that are so small the human eye cannot see them, and the bad particles cannot go through. He took brown dirty water, added some dropping from his dog to it; put it into his small devise - a few pumps with the handle and out came pure water. The interviewer drank some, and said it was like drinking water from a modern towns household tap (less whatever the local town may add to drinking water).

Quite REMARKABLE.....A 5 GALLON container cost about $200 to build and make. They are building them by the hundreds for people in Africa, those out away from the towns (maybe in some of the towns also). The inventor said, most African people have water all around them, but it's dirty and polluted, not fit to drink. His invention cleans the dirty water in seconds. His 5 gallon container he said would last a 4 member family with safe drinking water for 5 years.

NOW HE DESERVES SOME KIND OF GRAMMY AWARD !!!  SOME KIND OF "THE BEST INVENTION FOR AFRICAN PEOPLE" AWARD !!!
