LIfe is indeed PRECIOUS!

Today our Canadian 29 year old Sarah Burke died in the hospital in the USA after 9 days in a coma from a fall in practice, doing her favorite winter sport, where you go from side to side in that U shape ice and do "tricks." Sarah was one of the best in the world, at her sport.

Yes I know many young men and women die each day from all kinds of things, but this just brings it to mind that, yes many sports can be dangerous, or certainly not without risk. And of course many jobs (being in the police or fire departments) have their risk.

I'm a horseman, and even at the age of 70 on September 11th, I like every now and then to just open up my lovely and fast Palomino gal Goldie, and just let her fly, she can do for a short while 40 miles an hour (she's a sprinter - Quarter horse). I also for fun like to jump her, built some jumps, nothing over 3 feet 6 inches, but it can be risky.

So whatever we like to do in sport or for our secular job, there is risk in life ..... I mean even driving around in our cars etc. is risky.

We need to be thankful for each day. Love those you are close to. Use what you have been given to serve others. Make your life of some benefit to others. Just DO something, be a part of something, support something, so your life will have had purpose and will have helped somebody, so people can be thankful you lived.

None of us know when tomorrow is out last day in this physical life, so love and give and serve others.
......
