The WAR HORSE movie!!

The master of movie making Steven Spielberg HAS DONE IT AGAIN. A BRILLIANT movie!!! Two thumbs up - a 10 out of 10 from me. It's not based on any actual true story per se, but kinda could have been.

This movie will go down in Hollywood history as one of the very best of "horse movies" no doubt about it.

For horse lovers it is a gem!!

For horse lovers like me you will shed a few tears. Tears from the brutal savagery of
World War 1 and tears of joy, about a remarkable horse.

The movie also reminds us of the slowly forgetting now of the horrors of World War One!!!
It is movies like this that will keep the first world war in our memory banks. What a brutal war it was for man and the horse. Most today have no real idea of the wonderful friend to man the horse was for centuries upon centuries, and how they would work for man in battles, to their own death, whether getting blow to bits from bombs while pulling hospital carts, or charging into the battle with soldiers wielding swords, and both soldier and horse mowed down by the machine gun.

So YES ... GO TO SEE THIS MOVIE. BUY IT WHEN IT COMES OUT ON DVD. IT IS ONE OF THE GREAT HORSE MOVIES OF ALL TIME AND ONE OF THE MOVIES REMINDING YOU OF THE HORRIFIC FIGHTING IN MUD AND RAIN, THAT OFTEN TOOK PLACE IN THE FIRST WORLD WAR.

It will again keep you praying for the age to come, when the nations will learn war no more, when the lion shall dwell with the lamb and a child will play with them. When the horse like the dog will be man's best friend, and what joy those two animals will give to mankind once more. And when they will be treated with dignity, respect, and LOVE!!

YES A FANTASTIC MOVIE!!

OH AND THE BOOK IS FANTASTIC ALSO....WRITTEN AS IF THE HORSE IS TELLING THE STORY, AND VERY WELL WRITTEN INDEED. THE MOVIE PRETTY WELL STICKS TO THE BOOK. A SHORT STORY, CAN BE READ IN ONE AFTERNOON. NICE TO HAVE A GREAT STORY THAT DOES NOT TAKE 3 AND 4 AND 5 HUNDRED PAGES.
