Many things make news

Steve Jobs - the co-founder of the APPLE and all that company has done for millions around the world - well Steve has died at the young age of 56 from cancer. He was indeed a master in his field - gifted and brilliant indeed. He will be an icon of fame for the last 20 years of the 20th century and the first 11 years of the 21st century. He said to graduating students, you are the new but will become the old, and death faces us all, no one has escaped it...follow your heart.
It is the way of saying make each day count, live each day as if it is your last. Yes do something that will serve and help your fellow mankind. For sure Steve used his gifts and abilities that will forever serve us human beings. From what I've seen of him, he was just a down to earth nice guy, with huge jobs of talent
(yes I think he'd laugh at the pun also).

The sad plight of children in North Korea is heartbreaking, and the country is asking for help; it's the weather that has brought the sickness and starvation. Maybe, maybe, this will help change the North Korea's Government mind-set, to be more humble and caring to give the people a better way of life.

President Obama is pleading for the European nations to put their financial house in order, for it, as he knows, will make or continue to break the USA economy.
..........

I've finished reading the new book "Decade of Fear" by Michelle Shephard, and yes for seeing the inside of the last 10 years of the USA and others on the war against terrorists it is a must read book. Michelle went on the inside, the dangerous inside, to report on the nitty-gritty of the decade of fear.

Did you know, I did not know till tonight when I heard it on the BBC news - Poland, yes Poland, was the only country in the EU to NOT suffer a recession in the last 3 years - its economy has been chugging along quite nicely....yes they said it still has some catching up to do to other Western countries since coming out of Communist control, but the fact is it did not suffer a recession in the last 3 years. The present Government is hoping this good news will give them the vote (coming up soon) to be re-elected for another term.

On the lighter side, well if serious to drama can be considered light....maybe it can when it comes to movies.
The recent movie "Moneyball" is a true story movie and very interesting as well as showing you how the Oakland Athletics - the A's did their 20 straight Baseball wins - record-setting. Yes, worth the see.

Then for a drama movie with a very unusual plot that keeps the suspense going and some nail-biting, featuring some of the young new guys and gals in the movie world, the movie "Abducted" is a good teen to adult movie. Very interesting and different story plot - a good see also.
