Two wonderful movies

I want to start this Last Great Feast Day on an upbeat note (I do need to post later about the situation in the world at large) so I'll tell you about two wonderful movies I was able to come across in one of our local stores, and they read so nice I bought them and I'm sure glad I did. Great family movies for the children 7 or 8 years and older.

"THICKER THAN WATER" - is the title of one - put out by Hallmark Entertainment, so you immediately know it's going to be good.

A faded photograph leads powerful attorney Natalie Jones to the bittersweet secret of her late father's past. She takes to the sprawling countryside, where horses run free, families are bound by honor, true love really exists, and Natalie discovers her own past - and an enlightened future.

Ah yes it's a great movie. Stars two of my favorite gals - Melissa Gilbert and Lindsay Wagner.

"FOLLOW THE RIVER" - Signboard Hill Productions - Crown Media.

The tumultuous settlement of the New World and the crossing of its two cultures from the backdrop for this sweeping saga of a courageous pioneer woman.

Mary Ingles (Sheryl Lee - very well acted indeed) is pregnant when she and her young son are captured from their homestead in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains by Shawnee Indians. After giving birth, Mary finds herself falling for Wildcat, the Shawnee chief, but is determined to return home to her husband. Separated from her children after being sold, Mary convinces a fellow captive (Ellen Burstyn - so well acted also) to escape with her, and with unwavering resolve, she leads them on a journey of a lifetime - a journey home.

That's on the back on this movie's case. The comments about the two wonderful lady actresses are mine.
You need some kleenex nearby for watching this movie.

TWO GREAT movies, yes I'm happy to say they are still making good movies for the family to enjoy.

Both movies could well have been taken from real life, true life happenings, for such things in life and history have happened like this. History is full of such type happenings, people have indeed felt the pain and sorrow of loss, discovered truth and courage to march forward to a new life ..... ah yes Job in the Bible was one of them.
