God's Protection Is Secure

Alright, you skeptics, who don't believe in the Second Coming of Christ to earth, brand me a visionary, a fright peddler, calamity howler, etc. if you will. What I am trying to impress is exactly what all the holy prophets, and even Christ Himself, warned of what would happen in "the last days", which would be very perilous. Surely the world-shaking events, happening with such alarming frequency, is abundant evidence of this. "The U.S.A. spends billions annually on national defence, but their streets are not safe for its citizens. Anyone careless enough to walk through any of the parks "in the big cities should have their head examined." (The Cross and the Flag). But so far the terror has failed to waken Christendom from its overlong Rip Van Winkle slumber.
Matthew 24:21,22 warns - "For then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened there should no flesh ue save. Bu for the elect's sake THOSE DAYS SHALL BE SHORTENED."
Please notice particularly those last nine words, because they suggest great hope and consolation. The Concise Oxford Dictionary defines "The elect" in a theological sense as "chosen of God". It is a statement of enormous scope and significance to Christians, as Psalm 91 assures -"Whoso dwelleth under the defence of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."
No matter the extreme of tribulation in the world, we have this, comfort in Ps. 33:18 -"Behold, the eye of :the Lord is upon them that fear Him; upon them that hope in His mercy to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive and feed them in the time of dearth." And Ps. 31:30 - "Thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues."
God's protection speaks in the idiom of the Exodus from Egypt - so secure that against the Israelites or their possessions not
even a dog moved its tongue.. Exodus 11:7.
The death throes of this „ age have already begun, for the forthcoming exodus from this Babylonian system will be on a vastly greater scale in its miraculous deliverances. The elect will be the overcomers - "those who have come out of great tribulation... and have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb." Revelation 7:14.
The desired Divine interpretation will be accomplished ONLY through the united prayers of God's chosen people. That all-important duty of prayer devolves upon us. Before we can claim God's super magnanimous promises we must render unto Him acceptable homage as so clearly stated in II Chron. 1:11.
Now Christendom is anything but united. Why is it that many godless organizations, with world-wide ramifications, become so powerful and flagrantly usurp constituted authority with the impudence of a gangster? - the so-called United Nations and the exceeding powerful Labour Unions, for example., Presumptuous pagans! In God's esteem they, indeed whole nations, "Are but a drop in a bucket and accounted as the dust of the balance." Isaiah 40:15.
Why not a Christian Action Union to educate our people in the supreme merits of God's perfect plan for us? Ignoring the blandishments of enemy nations for summit meetings, let us, as a suppliant prodigal son pleading forgiveness and restoration to the family inheritance, make a solemn treaty with Almighty God at a summit meeting of His choice,"" and humbly sue for His Divine clemency? Leaders are wanted. Time is of the essence,
"As a snare shall it come. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man." Luke
21:25-36. ■
Seek The Lord For Protection And Courage
2Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.
2Samuel 22:3-4 my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.

OF COURSE THE SCRIPTURES QUOTED ARE IN THE BIBLE. BUT THE PROBLEM IS THE WRITER HAS DONE WHAT IS CALLED "PROOF TEXTING" - TO BRING A ONE SIDED READING OF THE BIBLE. SATAN TRIED IT WITH JESUS, REMEMBER, THE DEVIL SAID, JUMP OFF THIS TEMPLE PINNACLE, FOR IT IS WRITTEN HE WILL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER YOU SO YOU WILL NOT DASH YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE. JESUS ANSWERED THAT IT WAS ALSO WRITTEN "TEMPT NOT GOD."
SO YES NOAH WAS SAVED ALIVE; LOT WAS SAVED FROM THE DESTRUCTION OF THE CITY HE LIVED IN; DAVID WAS DELIVERED FROM GOLIATH, AND MANY OTHER ENEMIES WHO WANT TO KILL HIM; JEREMIAH WAS SAVED FROM THE HANDS OF HIS PEOPLE AND FROM THE ARMIES OF BABYLON. IN THE NT WE KNOW JOHN LIVED TO AN OLD AGE AND DIED A NATURAL DEATH.
BUT...... THAT IS NOT ALL THE BIBLE! THERE ARE OTHER STORIES GIVEN WHERE PROTECTION FROM EVIL AND DEATH WAS NOT ALWAYS GIVEN.
WE CAN THINK RIGHT AWAY OF THE APOSTLE PAUL......MY WHAT HE WENT THROUGH IN THIS PHYSICAL LIFE AS A CHRISTIAN; HE TELLS US ABOUT IT IN SOME OF HIS EPISTLES. EVENTUALLY BEING PUT TO DEATH FOR THE GOSPEL. AND THERE IS PETER ALSO......HAVING TO DIE FOR THE FAITH. THERE IS STEPHEN AND JAMES DYING FOR THE FAITH AS TOLD TO US IN THE BOOK OF ACTS. THEN WE CAN GO TO HEBREWS 11. OH YES WE HAVE VERSES 24-335A.
BUT PAUL DID NOT END ON THAT POSITIVE NOTE, HE WENT ON TO SAY, "AND OTHERS WERE TORTURED, NOT ACCEPTING DELIVERANCE; THAT THEY MIGHT OBTAIN A BETTER RESURRECTION. AND OTHERS HAD TRAIL OF CRUEL MOCKINGS AND SCOURGING, YES, MORE OVER, OF BONDS AND IMPRISONMENT. THEY WERE STONED, THEY WERE SAWN ASUNDER, WERE TEMPTED, WERE SLAIN WITH THE SWORD, THEY WANDERED ABOUT IN SHEEPSKINS AND GOATSKINS; BEING DESTITUTE, AFFLICTED, TORMENTED; (OF WHOM THE WORLD WAS NOT WORTHY) THEY WANDERED IN DESERTS, AND IN MOUNTAINS, AND IN DENS AND CAVES OF THE EARTH......."
I DO NOT WANT TO BE A PARTY POOPER, BUT I DO HAVE TO READ ALL THE BIBLE, AND I DO HAVE TO TEACH YOU ALL THE BIBLE, NOT JUST SELECTED VERSES THAT ONLY GIVE HALF THE PICTURE.
REVELATION 12 IS THE STORY OF THE TRUE CHURCH OF GOD. IN THAT CHAPTER YOU WILL SEE SOME OF GOD'S PEOPLE ESCAPE TO THE WILDERNESS AND ARE PROTECTED, BUT THEN SATAN GOES AFTER THE OTHER PART OF GOD'S CHURCH WHO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD.
IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME FROM THE BEGINNING, SOME OF GOD'S PEOPLE LIVE TO DIE A NATURAL DEATH, OTHERS NOT SO, THEY MUST GIVE UP THEIR LIVES IN PERSECUTION AND DEATH FOR THE FAITH ONCE DELIVERED TO THE SAINTS.
WE HAVE A SEEN IN REVELATION OF THE THRONE OF GOD, THOSE WHO HAD DIED FOR THE FAITH ARE CRYING OUT UNDER THE ALTAR OF GOD
( CHAPTER 6: VERSE 9), "AND THEY CRIED WITH A LOUD VOICE, SAYING, HOW LONG, O LORD, HOLY AND TRUE, DO YOU NOT JUDGE AND AVENGE OUR BLOOD ON THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH...... AND IT WAS SAID UNTO THEM, THAT THEY SHOULD REST FOR A LITTLE SEASON, UNTIL THEIR FELLOW-SERVANTS ALSO AND THEIR BRETHREN, THAT SHOULD BE KILLED AS THEY WERE, SHOULD BE FULFILLED. (verses 10-11).
THERE IS TO COME AT THE END TIME A GREAT MARTYRDOM OF TRUE SAINTS OF GOD.
NOW THAT IS "THE REST OF THE STORY" AS THE LATE PAUL HARVEY WOULD SAY AT THE END OF HIS RADIO PROGRAM, AFTER HE HAD FILLED YOU IN ON THE WHOLE STORY.
GOD WILL GIVE STRENGTH TO THOSE WHO IN THE LAST DAYS MUST STAND UP FOR THE TRUE FAITH AND WAY OF LIFE FOR GOD'S TRUE CHILDREN.
